That's meaningless. Corona is not 5G. 5G is not required to infect with corona, however, it could be that 5G makes corona infection more severe and more likely to be fatal. I'm not saying it does, but it might.

116,000 dead in Brazil. Seems Covid is doing ok without 5G.

  2. As a long time lurker, I never had a problem with advertising on this site, normal for a forum of this genre and not obtrusive. However, I needed to post a query on a specific thread, so signed up with my Google browser which I had always used to access this site. Wow! Site became totally unusable with ads obscuring text and page functions and constant pop ups. Changed my browser to Brave and night became day, not enough ads now.

Note to Admin: "Less is more".

If people and businesses want long stayers to come back, this plan sounds reasonable with decent safety protocols to me.

What safety protocols? By their own admission they have no idea what they will be. COE from Thai Embassy? Covid test 72 hours before flight? $100k Covid insurance? No idea.

Also sending mixed messages about what happens after quarantine. Allowed to travel to Bangkok?

“We are confident that the tourists will not go home on the 15th day of their stay. I think they will keep travelling in Phuket province"

Non "O" retirement visa holders can enter this way?

“We expect these long-stay tourists to stay in the country anywhere from 30 to 90 days,”

“We are also waiting for the CCSA to announce what rules we are to apply, and we have to wait for the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand [CAAT] to announce that Thailand will again be open to receiving international passenger flights."

    Good luck with that.

When you sign up, they even ask if you have a UK television license F F S?

My UK address didn't have a TV licence so I quoted a neighbour's address/postcode who did have a TV licence. Not had the problem with All4, ITV Hub or My5, just the BBC.

Oh well, ITV 4 are showing full coverage of Le Tour starting Saturday so it will be "Up yours, BBC" for the next 3 weeks.

That's right, still a small price to pay for no issues with the VPN.

But I'll see how it goes first. I'm guessing the bulk of ExpressVPN customers do not pay for the dedicated address, and ExpressVPN want to keep them happy as well.

I don't think that a dedicated IP address is an option with Express VPN. However, just judging by this thread they must be getting inundated with complaints. I'm sure they will be getting worried about deminishing their customer base.

I too will give them a bit longer but one month is my limit as programs start to drop off BBC iPlayer after 28 days. England v Pakistan 3rd test will disappear in a couple of weeks. Intolerable 555.

The problems associated with 5G have not been debuncked at all.

When you speak of 'penetrating the skin' are you talking about it in terms of a knife cutting the skin, or or you saying that the 60gHz band cannot influence the cells of the body.

    I suggest you research further.

I'm saying that at the signal strengths used it cannot penetrate the skin therefore cannot influence the cells of the body.

I suggest that you do some research and avoid flat earth conspiracy sites.

Yes, a few days ago I started being unable to play Bytesize clips from BBC iPlayer and I use ExpressVPN.

I'm in Thailand, contacted Express VPN and they looked into it, then said they were aware of the problem with BBCiplayer and their engineers were looking into it. Got a complimentary 2 weeks and a promise they would contact me when the issue was resolved.

Nothing yet. I think I may have to pay for a dedicated VPN IP address to avoid these issues in the future.

Who offers this service and how much does it cost?

I'll slip in a side question, as no point starting a new thread.

It's been discussed on many VPN threads how companies, in this case, broadcasting companies, block streams based on IP Addresses,  Most likely because one IP Address could have 100 ore more people streaming from it, which indicates to the broadcaster the IP Address is a VPN, so they blacklist it.

Does anyone know if this is their only method of detecting if a VPN is being used?  Is there such a think as VPN detection software?

I have my own VPN, tunneling back to my own router.  Could this ever be shut down?

I think you've pretty much got it on the normal method of detecting VPNs. However, I've been told that the BBC additionally can look at other aspects of your device such as Google geolocation. I always have my PC set to UK time and geolocation set to a point in the UK. Haven't had this problem for a couple of years until a week ago.

I should draw your attention to the first line of my post; The virus (C-19) is a particularly nasty influenza.

The 5G theory has only just started. The US and the Israelis were experimenting with it as a weapon of war.

Idiots were setting fire to 5G masts from the early days of Covid 19. Its not new. Weapon of war? As a former BT employee who was involved in setting up networks and latterly working for a major international company and performing RFI testing, I can assure you that, at the signal strengths used, its incapable of penetrating the skin, even if you were strapped to a 5G mast.

Please refrain from perpetrating a long debunked conspiracy theory.

The virus (C-19) is a particularly nasty influenza.

5G is on a 60Ghz frequency that agitates the red blood cells and makes oxygen transportation difficult. Those that are vulnerable to low oxygen are also dying.

Perhaps it's not a coincidence that the first city in China to roll out 5G was Wuhan.

Thailand has done well to repel the C-19, because of the weather, the lack of a reoccurring flu and the absence of 5G.

No 5G in Brazil and they're not doing too well.

5G conspiracy theory has been well and truly scotched. Not helpful to continue to perpetrate it.

  11. Not been able to access BBC iPlayer via ExpressVPN for over a week now. In Thailand. Have contacted ExpressVPN who gave me 2 free weeks and told me that their engineers are working on it. Still no access. Have had the same problem before but usually resolved in a couple of days. Not looking good.

Is anyone currently using NordVPN to access BBC iPlayer from Thailand and is it working today?
