The Thai do not care if they are getting Yuan or Euros. What they care about is that China does not have covid and they have a lot of people ready to fly.

I do not understand the logistics of this. 150 Chinese will arrive in Phuket on a charter flight to stay for at least 30 days. Are they all going to stay for the same duration? Will there be a charter flight to return them to China after X amount of days?
The plane needs to go back for the next batch.

The biggest improvement (for any country) would be to ban large group tours that dominate and destroy as they tour around.....certain nations are very apt to holiday in this fashion.
The tour groups may be annoying to you but they bring a lot of money and are relatively well controlled. They are not the ones trashing the beaches and damaging the reefs. The groups offer a way to travel and work around a severe language barrier.
This years group travelers become next years independent travelers and they come with their families not just their drinking buddies.
That you think you are somehow better and more deserving than those "certain nations" is disturbing. If you don't like Asians, stay home.

Funny. Trump started out claiming it was fake news and has now switched to claiming that the documents were obtained illegally. Hmmm...fake documents obtained illegally. Maybe that makes sense to some people. To others it's further proof that the documents are exactly what the Times says they are.
Of course they are real. No paper would put themselves out there with unverified documents.

number 6 must surely be an error - 500K in a bank for 6 months to extend a tourist visa for 30 days!! are they out of their minds?
That supports the 30 day entries given to APEC holders, much like the visa wavier program.

Yes, if they test enough, they will find cases, at least in cities. But they would have to test far more than 100 - 1000 people and it would be a very expensive undertaking.
We can tell from the absence of severe cases (which would appear in hospitals) that the total number of cases so far remains low. And testing that has been done in the wake of cases (e.g. in Rayong and then contacts of the Bangkok DJ) turned up no infections.
They'd have to test in the tens of thousands in Bangkok and even more upcountry which makes no sense to do.
You are ruining the narrative of the covid deniers. Thank you.

In India the 125 Hondas dominate. Unlike Thailand, they have a full clutch system in the transmission. The Enfields are pretty but don't perform like a 500cc bike.
Harley pulled out because it is hard to get the money out intact. The same reason Walmart and Carrefour walked out on the deals to open there. A big heavy bike like a Harley is a terrible choice for the heavy traffic anyway.

Has anyone gotten past the preliminary approval stage? I submitted an inquiry but no response yet. My biggest concern would be getting the initial approval but not getting the COE approval or having flights available.

You can always put a shut off valve both before and after he water pump. That way you can alter the flow of water into the pump and the output pressure going to the house.
Thathas the advantage of isolating the pumpif you ever need to replace it as you have to now.
NOOO!!! Never throttle the suction side, it will cause cavitation and trash the pump quickly.
If you really need to throttle the discharge, you should consider a smaller pump.

Bangkok Bank gave me one in Chiang Rai with a 6 month tourist visa and the Tiraks assistance. I was promising to move in money for a house and the 800k though.

There wouldn't be an infection would there?... but this is because China is nearly covid free- no virus = no possibility of infection.
The tests were run in the PI, Indonesia and the Middle East for that very reason.

It is highly unlikely the embassies would be involved with storing and administering vaccines.
I guess in the end they'll require a proof of vaccination with an approved vaccine, but this is months away at best. However if the vaccines are generally available in China in the coming months, the Thais can open the border for vaccinated Chinese, which would be good for the tourism.
There is an international vaccination booklet for this already

That’s when they do the second test. There are no daily tests in quarantine. They find cases at the beginning or end of quarantine.
Actually the third test.

What ever happened to that DJ?
Did they ever trace how he contracted it, or did it get forgotten as too hard?
All of his contacts turned up negative. They did hundreds of tests. They did not identify the source.

Please make a report what happen with the most falang withing 104 people beeing treated in the hospital.
1. How long they stay there ?
2. What kind of treatement they have ?
No country in western obligate someone to be in hospital if you are infected unless you get sick. Instead you must quarantine yourself at home.
This could scam the insurance with unnecessary cost and big money.
And that is why it is under control as opposed to the west.

This has been a topic of discussion for a while. The last position was that elite visas were not eligible. Now it appears that they are about to open TEMQ along with the STV and under similar terms.
I do not know of anyone that has gained entry yet.

Just another question; I have a retirement visa valid until June 2021, which I hope to use again. if I enter Thailand on one of these STV, will my retirement visa be cancelled, and how would I get another retirement visa?
I am still not convinced that STV is a genuine scheme. Seems more like something floated by Thailand to give the impression they are sill open to visitors, but really do not want any to come. From the postings here, I think that it is succeeding in the object.
Let's face it, most TV members are not part of the "super rich" group that today's BKP tells me are going to be encouraged to visit Thailand to restart the economy.
O visas do not get COEs currently so it would be an entry option, The more important question would be if you can roll into a new O without a border run. No idea on that one. You could probably roll over into an Elite though.

STV: Chinese will be first foreign tourists allowed in, then Scandinavians

Yes they will, just like everyone else, including the Thais.
They will need a second quarantine returning, depending on the Chinese rules at the time.
