That website definitely belongs to Thai Visa Centre and works just as you'd expect from them.

Let's give them @ThaiVisaCentre a chance to confirm it themselves.

You can now just order this service directly, with your TDAC in one shot.
    https://tdac.agents.co.th

All services are optional, and the TDAC request is free as long as you are within 72 hours of your arrival date, otherwise there may be a $8 charge to order this service ahead of time.

Additionally if you are regularly going in and out of the country you have the ability to copy a previous TDAC, and use it as a base to make the process even easier.

So now they blocked the website from certain Thai internet providers already, which makes it even more stupid, as you would apply from this from abroad... My gosh they really live in a bubble.

It looks more like the actual website blocked the Thailand region rather than the Thailand ISP's blocked their website (if you look at the bottom of the error page it says CloudFlare).

This clearly indicates they are aware but have chosen not to update their site.

Another example is https://tdac.online. They seem to be following the law, but whether the service is really worth over 1,200 THB is debatable, and is low compared to https://ivisa.com attempting to charge 2,300 THB.  Still, for those short on time, it might be convenient since it allows you to apply in advance and *may* offer a responsive point of contact.

Even some of our own clients have asked for this kind of service, despite us explaining to them how easy it is to apply on their own.

They could have simply designed their website to be legally compliant and been in a strong position, rather than choosing to make it deliberately misleading and risk being seen as a scam.

Does this not meet that disclosure requirement?  Clearly states that they are a 3rd party.

    TDAC.jpg.efec7f73aaa940d1deea9550ea5449c8.jpg

My objection isn't to 3rd party sites.  It's to the 3rd party sites that would have you believe that they are the only one that's authorized.  Which this one doesn't seem to do..

Would need to be more of a opt-in.

Think checkbox where you acknowledge the fact that they are not a government service.

The checkbox acts as a recorded action proving that they disclosed the nature of the service. Without this, a user could later claim they were misled.

That means "up to 3 days in advance"

You can do it day prior to flight.

The shear volume of entries to Thailand would not allow for processing or verification.

We have a previous model. The TM6 card.

    When was that information checked/verified

When applying, you can only choose an arrival date of today, or up to three days from now.

We highlight the 3-day window because that’s how it was worded in the official announcement. Applying earlier is fine if you're able to, but we don't expect any issues with entry or departure if you apply less than three days before arrival ( your airline may force it, this is yet be seen ).

This process replaces the TM6, which was usually filled out on arrival in Thailand. It's possible authorities may want this information earlier for coordination or logistical reasons, but in practice, it should still be fine to complete close to your travel date.

What is clear is it is impossible to submit more than 3 days before your arrival date as it will be disabled.

We’ve also embedded the video on https://tdac.in.th/#tdac-introduction in multiple languages, though the screenshots provide more detailed information.

    Interesting. You write;

    When to Submit Your TDAC

Foreigners should submit their arrival card information 3 days in advance of arriving in Thailand, including the date of arrival. This allows sufficient time for processing and verification of the information provided.

Verification?  Seriously?  I had assumed that, like elsewhere, they don't want early applications clogging up the system hence the 3 day limit.

From what we have seen its actually instant approval, so if theres verification happening its post-approval.

    Nope.  Here's what I get:

    tda.jpg.9ba9adbd5a425589c32d7754fdbb2d23.jpg

I can't tell where it's being blocked.  Could be by the originator, or it could be by the Great Firewall.

We have not seen this, this can happen with new DNS updates.

Maybe check back later, we have tested the site from multiple regions, and it appears to be accessible.

We also did a write up here with screenshots: https://tdac.in.th

Siam Legal assisted with opening bank accounts.

Not sure if currently offering that service.

Slightly off topic however if the OP is 50+ he could consider agent Non O retirement+ extension.

Could be temporary option as seems current plan not practical.

Start over with Non O marriage in the future.

Edit: indeed just checked with Siam Legal site here: https://www.siam-legal.com/other-services/opening-a-bank-account-in-thailand.php

They are currently not assisting with UK USA AU Canada etc pp holders.

And suggest Pattaya agents for bank account.

Back to the OP ... can't see his time frame and current plans workable.

We currently assist with account setup for clients applying for Non-O ( Retirement / Marriage / Family ) visas, and the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV).

If you're currently in Thailand on a tourist visa / exempt entry, we can still assist you, provided your intention is to obtain a long-term visa.

Please note that for any banking services, clients must be accompanied by our staff.

To put the above stated ETA requirements into perspective, when I recently applied for a Tourist e-visa I had to upload a passport copy, a Pic and a home bank statement. I was never asked for accommodation details and I just had to enter a flight number and epected arrival date, not provide the actual ticket. Also, since July they've removed the financial requirements for Tourist Visa.

So basically you just need to upload a Pic and passport copy to get a tourist e-visa.

But an agent says you'll need all the stuff in the above post to get an ETA for visa exempt entry lol

Technically, proof of accommodation and a return flight are required for exempt entry. Without them, an officer has the discretion to deny entry.

Having a actual applied for visa like a TR visa will be scrutinized less than attempting to enter with exempt entry, also your Thailand travel history may come into play as well.

That said, many people enter without any issues. In Thailand, proposals often surface publicly long before they become official and can go through numerous changes in the process. Sometimes these changes happen quickly, other times slowly, or the proposals may simply fade away and never materialize.

Ok, so why are you posting the following is required for an ETA? This is much more than I recently provided for a Tourist e-visa

    Your Ste States:

    • A valid passport
    • Proof of travel plans, including tickets into and out of Thailand
    • Accommodation details, such as hotel bookings or residential addresses
    • Evidence of sufficient funds to support their stay (e.g., 10,000 THB for single travelers, 20,000 THB per family)

It's currently unclear if health insurance or medical records will be required. However, potential health concerns could lead to such requirements in the future.

Nothing is final, and this is based on information discussed an provided on these pages:

If you're traveling soon, there's no need to worry. It appears to be delayed yet again, and implementing something like this will take time. There will be plenty of information available, and it will also be communicated through the IATA Timatic system otherwise airlines will have trouble following any new requirements (very similar to how the Thailand Pass system was rolled out across airlines).

But also note that most of the mentioned requirements you quoted are already required to enter Thailand in many cases.

We created that website because we frequently receive inquiries about the ETA. Having a single point of reference makes it easier for everyone to stay informed on the topic, reducing the need for people to repeatedly contact our team for updates.

If an official government-operated page existed for this topic, we would have linked to it. However, as of now, the information available is limited to a collection of meetings and proposals. Unfortunately, the topic is also surrounded by scaremongering and news articles that often lack the helpful clarity needed.

You are quoting ETA requirements as fact but the link you posted is not an official Thailand website (Isn't eta.in a random Indian domain website?)

We actually run said website to keep individuals informed.

Also .in.th is not a indian website, the .th TLD is owned, and operated by Thailand. You may be confused because of the .in.th SLD but this is a commonly used for Individuals, companies or organizations in Thailand.

As for the current situation with the ETA we are still waiting for updates.

Once we have more info the website will be updated, and those who have subscribed for updates will be notified accordingly.

  11. Try accessing your account from a different device.

Lazada might display the "Your account has been closed" message, but it's possible that your account has been temporarily frozen for security reasons.

If this is the case, you might be able to unfreeze your account by logging in through a more trusted method.

  12. The current information about the visa is a bit unclear and speculative. We're doing our best to keep track and provide updates as they come.

Currently, there are two main theories on how the visa will work:

Theory 1: You get a 5-year visa that allows unlimited re-entries during this period. Each entry grants a 180-day stamp, which can be extended for another 180 days.

Theory 2: You get a 5-year visa that starts upon your first entry. It's only valid for 180 days after this initial entry, with the possibility of a one-time extension for another 180 days. You cannot apply for this visa again until the original 5-year period passes or the visa is canceled. Every re-entry would not change the original duration of the visa stamp.

Our advice is to avoid making any plans related to the DTV until the details are fully finalized, which should be within this month.
