Covid-19 extension #12 done on Tuesday 19th July. Same as always except to say that the return date has been changed back to in 2 weeks time (3rd August) from #11 (month gap).
With MonkeyPox now a thing in Thailand I can foresee an all encompassing "Infectious Diseases Extension' as a possibility!
For cases like this you would have no issue getting a medical extension while hospitalized, or in forced hospital isolation, there is no need for a new visa type ????.
Maybe our first case in Thailand did not know: https://www.thaipbsworld.com/thai-police-searching-for-monkeypox-infected-nigerian-man/

Lock them up then, since cannabis can be important legally then at least do it legally.
Far from easy to import legally, and I seriously doubt anyone is legally importing brick weed ????...

The Emergency Decree was extended by Mr. COC, so he may extend CEs as well.
The main difference is the Emergency Decree is not related to leaving the country (plenty of borders are operating again).
So it would be possible to have both an extended Emergency Decree, and no additional extension of the covid extension program. Also the original extension was introduced during a time when outbound flights were not even possible, but this extension has turned into a long term visa for many who have been using it for multiple years now ????.
It's already quite common for some immigration offices to ask for proof of departure (like in the OP's case).
I'm sure more are hoping it is extended than, not extended.
We will just have to wait, and see like we have to do every 2 months ????. -

I don't think that the end is near at all - I have a feeling that tomorrow, we will hear about Covid Extensions being extended again untill 25th September.
This is possible, but it is just as possible that we don't hear anything.
As usually we will post an update/document if we receive any word which supports the extension of this program.
We do mention every 2 months that if you are depending on this type of extension, and your expiration date is coming soon you should go early.
We have 2 business days left, and our team is quite busy handling the flood of inquires (not sure if we will accept cases on Monday). No one knows what will actually happen, and just because they have extended it many times already does not automatically mean that it will be extended again.

Did you test these yourself? Green Lab's says there are twice the amount of THC and I'm assuming they did test each being the grower.
Thanks for the Shopee link.
You would assume, but if you ask them for test results they say they don't provide any which is strange for a large grower ????.
Hopefully more growers will start to do this. -

Cheers...
In my mind I expected a solution you could drop some in and the color it turned indicated THC%.
They have a cheap urine test like that, so maybe you can just smoke some, and then test it ????

This is the reason why many just mail out their samples, and have them lab tested for $40-100 USD each time.
Do you think that is happening with any stores in Thailand at this moment?
For the larger growers yes, as they have been doing this for years to meet the export / import requirements by the FDA for CBD. Also they needed to have everything tested to ensure that they were not growing THC heavy plants.
It's common practice for them to obtain a certificate of analysis after each harvest in order for them to wholesale, and export. For the small sellers I doubt it, some of the stuff being sold is grown by home growers.
Give it some time, and this will be a more common practice as long as the buyers demand transparency.- 2

imho thats what the price should be for outdoor head irrespective of what its called or what the "claimed" THC% is.
curious asks...where does one get a device to check the THC%?Fairly accurate devices will run $1.5k+ USD (within a few THD/CBD % points, but this can be 10-25% off), and more accurate devices will be $5-10k USD.
Lab grade HPLC testing devices will run you $24k+ USD.
This is the reason why many just mail out their samples, and have them lab tested for $40-100 USD each time.

What a WILD TRIP this has been!!!
Back on July 5, I bought 1gm for 550 Baht. [online site I happened to see]
(my Karma being all bright and shiny, they DOUBLE-SHIPPED my order, lol)Transaction taking place on LINE.
THEN, on July 13, ANOTHER online site that's been talked about here had a sale I couldn't resist, at the time: 10gm for 2900, IE 1gm for 290. Transaction taking place on LINE.
BOTH of these sites, on LINE, have matching prices, but with the second site, the "SALE PRICE" was HALF PRICE the 1gm prices shown.
NOW TODAY, July 16, I started getting pestered by MESSENGER ADVERTS repeatedly sending me tempting pics and messages... and I decided to just "play and query" the most recent one...
AND I got hooked again(!), THIS time, however 10gm for 1440 Baht, IE 1gm for 144 Baht. Includes COD charge, Flash Delivery, entire transaction taking place on Messenger.
Thai breed.Phu Phan Squirrel Tail.
Organic green house.
Premium grade.
No mix.
No chemicals.
THC 18-24%
Hopefully quality will match expectations, but the description is stellar.Moral of my tale is... I just was SO EXCITED to be able to purchase this ONLINE, and LEGALLY... that perhaps I sort of jumped the gun, with the initial purchase. I really didn't think such improved opportunities would continue to present themselves, in such an immediate progression!!!
On the positive FLIP SIDE, every purchase I've made, in the span of 11 days... has resulted in a price ONE HALF the prior price!
AND... being an extremely light (IE ONE-HIT) smoker, I've got enough smoke now to last MONTHS, if not a year or more, LOL
This is simply WILD, and I will say...
WHAT A GOOD TIME TO BE LIVING AS AN EXPAT IN THAILAND!!!!
Expect prices for well grown Squirrel Tail to keep going down as these strains are easier to cultivate in Thailand, and do not require full indoor climate control.
These strains are also being passed off as exotic strains for a 5x-8x markup ????.
I have already seen prices lower than what you have mentioned from larger suppliers.Wait for Q4 as the larger operations are already starting to switch from CBD/HEMP strains to high THC strains for their indoor operations. They were mainly growing CBD to convert into CBD isolate for export, and domestic use inside of oils, and other medicinal products. But they will quickly turn a much higher profit when they can cultivate higher THC strain varieties.

How does this sound Blackberry Pie THC 27% 5gm = ฿490.00 COD .. Green Crack THC 25% 10gms = ฿500 COD Both these are good at doing the business
I've also got a order in for Thai squirrel tail THC 20 <27 % +/- ish which is a good quality old school Thai strain ฿100 a gm order 10gm and get 5 gm free COD not yet tried so can not say good or bad
Facebook is flooded with khun Thai selling there botanicals ,,, but you have to use google translator as they are not in English .. But once you've checked out a few random sites the Facebook algorithm throws you up everything weed related on the site and a few more too-boot lol,
If they are quoting above average THC values without a Certificate of Analysis its likely untrue (how would they know ????).
Also just because a strain average says it can be a high THC value, if it was not grown correctly it can produce less potent Trichomes, and you will have a less potent bud.
Stick with vendors which are advertising more realistic values, and/or are able to provide you with an actual Certificate of Analysis.- 1
-
An example of sellers likely making up THC content.
This one is claiming 28% THC, and when questioned about their Certificate of Analysis, they could not produce one, and said their provider did not give them one either. For Girl Scout Cookies they would be breaking world records for that strain at 28% THC.
So basically without any regulation in place you are getting whatever they say, and it's not even confirmed.
The big sellers can provide you a Certificate of Analysis which clearly states the strains test results.

I've been offered on line some of the "green crack" 750 Baht for 50 Gram. The photo of the buds sent to me look quite brown is this normal for Green Crack ?
Has anybody bought a product similar and have any reviews?
Quality Control is a big risk
- age of the actual bud- curing process (was it cured correctly... this is very important)
- grow process (did they use pesticides?)
- mold (did it start to mold? sometimes theres mold inside the buds)
- strain (am I getting what is being advertised to me, or are they just sending me hemp flower?)
These are major risks you will face when buying from these random individuals over facebook, line, and shoppe/lazada.
Technically they are not allowed to sell on Shoppe/Lazada, and Facebook, and are running the risk of being removed. I doubt they will give you any refund if they sent you incorrect product, or bad quality.- 1

All these reviews of fruity smell & flavor, are a bit silly, and even read one stating Green Crack was 'energizing'. Ganga - energizing ... almost believe that one. As silly as reading some beer or whiskey reviews. Don't know where they come up with all this BS.
Actually many of the Sativa strains are energizing.
If you're looking for couch lock you are looking for Indica.
And many Hybrid strains will be in the middle.
Over indulgence may have negative side effects for any strain type ????6 hours ago, redwood1 said:This things will change once regulation kicks in.
I find it hard to believe they will be able to continue to sell random personal grows on Shoppe.- 1

Their stock prices did not really crash imo. They were being overvalued by rampant speculation to begin with, so they are back down to where they should be now. That is just basic market dynamics. Not that unusual for a new business opportunity.
A public company is a company whose shares trade on a stock exchange.
I did not say anything about them being government owned companies.
Yes they were overvalued, especially considering that demand in Canada is going up yet the general cannabis market share value is going down.
With a quick search you can see that Canadians have easy access to wholesale cannabis prices with orders even as small as a few grams. (tough market)
Lets hope that any investment done in Thailand is not based on current prices ????- 1

Prices will come down eventually. It took Canada a few years but now legal prices are forcing the black market to lower their prices to try compete.
You can look at some of their publicly traded Canadian cannabis stocks which have massively crashed in the past 3 years (almost all are down 70%+).

Hopefully Thailand is smarter, and does not overly invest ????.
Canada's prices are very low because of multiple reasons, and they are having oversupply issues,
With countries to continue to legalize cannabis I expect Canada to continue to struggle, and they may lose their positioning as the largest exporter. -

4 minutes ago, redwood1 said:The weather is ideal for growing, but if I understand things right, having the same light/ dark hours all year is a bit of a problem for some strains, as far as flowering goes....
They have NON-PHOTOPERIOD (autoflower) seeds which do not depend on any special light cycle to trigger flowering.
But the main issues with outdoor growing is related to the strains you are growing, and the biggest issues are usually temperature, and humidity. Because of this majority of the highest THC strains will not grow in Thailand outdoors as they have been designed in colder, and low humidity climates. This is why you will still see large investments around fully closed grow systems which involve humidity control, and artificial lighting.- 5

It's so cheap I only smoke pollen now. Not harsh at all, and easily extracted by a 4 layer grinder.
Medicinal cannabis become legal in Canada in 2001 (yes 20+ years ago), and it became legal in Thailand in 2018.
Canada is currently the largest exporter of cannabis, and they have invested hundreds of billions of THB to establish, and maintain this position.
It will take some time before you start to see prices, and quality anywhere near Canada level, and if the US makes cannabis federally legal they will be the next in line to compete with Canada in terms of high quality wholesale exports.
There is however a trend of large Cannabis companies opening up production operations in countries like Columbia, Spain, and South Africa.
Thailand can eventually added to that list in some time, and once that happens you will see prices to drop significantly, as these farms grow hundreds of thousands of plants each season.
But in order for this to work there would need to be a large domestic demand, and it is hard to know what the actual demand is. How will Tourism will play into it considering that recreational cannabis usage is discouraged, and regulation is looming over the whole industry.
It will be an interesting year.- 3

Removing the smoke may not but the modality of inhaling vapor is very new to the human experience.
That's my only point. I'm not saying it's harmful. I'm not saying I wouldn't do it. It's just that, being so new, we can't say for certain what the long-term outcome is, because lungs are just that complex.
There's a very good chance our species has already undergone the adaptations necessary to handle mj smoke. People conflate mj smoke with tobacco smoke all of the time and the two couldn't be more different AND we have the medical research that shows that.
Sorry to be so strident, but this is a pet peeve of mine. Marijuana gets legalized in the U.S. and suddenly we see all of these other activities, and I don't know and have no reason to suspect that vaporization is harmful and should be in the same category as, say, butane explosions and cookie overdoses, but dammit we have a safe form of consumption and it's called SMOKING and it works every time.
If it's not broken, don't fix it.
The following things are inside of those e-liquids, and carts:
- Propylene Glycol (PG) or Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
- flavourings (usually not in cannabis)
- nicotine / or cannabis
Which is what almost all studies cover, and we are already seeing studies showing that this type of consistent vaping is harmful.
The type of vaping we are talking about is use heating a chamber, and smoking the byproducts of the dry herb.
You're consuming much less harmful particulates, and there is usually less of a cloud than smoke when consuming it this way.
It cannot be compare to those e-liquid cartridges which are full of PG/VG creating giant clouds of vapor, and filling the lungs.
You're already smoking the cannabis vapor if you smoke a join its just combined with a bunch of additional harmful particulates.- 1

And especially with the potent strains we see today where even the tiniest puff sends you into the stratosphere and which greatly mitigates whatever damage smoke may cause, the right choice today is the bong.
When I say vaporize I am not talking about the e-liquds.
I'm speaking about dry herb vapes, which do not include any additives like the e-liquids used for concentrated fluids. You can read a rundown here:
https://www.lung.org/quit-smoking/smoking-facts/health-effects/marijuana-and-lung-health
They also cover vape-pens, and "dabbing" which is also not what I am speaking of.The point is removing the smoke you inhale will not cause any negative side effects unless you are adding things to the mix.
If you're only going to smoke a few puffs, and be out then there probably is no negative side-effects as the lungs are fairly resilient. But if you are a heavy smoker then it would be helpful for your lungs to look into alternative methods of consumption like dry-herb vaping.

One of mj's greatest attributes is how long mankind has been using it and with no ill effect. That consumption has been primarily by eating it or smoking it.
The manner by which it is ingested needs to be taken into consideration when evaluating that track record.
Non-combustable ways of consuming cannabis is the best option.
Eating, and smoking does hit the body differently so this must be factored in as well.
If you need to smoke it then its best to vaporize it.- 1

You can simply apply for a permit on plookganja as the other 300,000+ growers in Thailand have to be safe.
They will ask details about your situation, and you can put in the desired amount of plants you will be growing.
As mentioned already you can grow many more plants than 6 if you apply correctly.- 1

I just Googled Dynavap. Interesting.
I'm fairly confident that Dynavap is 100% legal in Thailand.
Dry Herb / Tobacco vaping is not what they made illegal in Thailand.
Even if it has the same name "vaping", that is not what is illegal in Thailand.
It is the e-liquid, and the e-liquid vapes that remain illegal.

Immigration lady told me or at least strongly hinted that I need to leave after this covid extension
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
No, the only change was that they extended the ability to obtain these extensions by 1 month (the extension seems to still be the full 60 day , or under consideration stamp + extension stamp)
