Jeremy Corbyn Calls on UK to Act on Slavery Reparations in Jamaica Speech
If the UK and Jamaica are really serious about reparations, then they need to be honest. The island of Jamaica was populated by a small number of locals, none of whom were black. All of Jamaica's blacks and mixed race people must return to Africa where African nations must welcome them and resettle them. The UK must pay for this transport and for the environmental rehabilitation of the Jamaican island back to its original state. Only then can the healing start. The Jamaicans have no right to the island and must return it to its original state.

UK Controversial Junk Food Crackdown Targets Breakfast Staples Including Porridge
It's the precooked instant oat based products that are 50% sugar that are being targeted, Proper porridge oats are not the target. Some people think granola and muesli is healthy. It isn't if it is heavily sweetened with high fructose sweeteners and dosed with additives.

Why do "little people" vote for their executioners?
You misunderstand the motives of the electorate. In the UK, people voted against the Conservatives and embraced a left leaning collection of irresponsible nitwits in Labour, or an extremist right collection of buffoons or milquetoast Social Democrats. The British people were frustrated and fed up. In the USA , people voted against the status quo. The Trump vote was always there. All that happened is that many Democrat voters sat on their hands and did not vote or, they wanted to send a message to the party that they were fed up with the double speak and the attempt to be all things to all people. The support for Trump will evaporate in 2 years, because no matter what he does for their benefit, some voters are chronic complainers and blamers. People are fickle and are unreasonable in their expectations and demands from politicians.

Kash Patel's "Government Gangster" Hit List
Kash Patel is an educated and intelligent man. He is qualified and has the work experience to serve in the Trump administration. However, he is not qualified nor the right man for the FBI and will disrupt a critical law enforcement agency's operations. Senior management will now be focused on political struggles and not protecting the nation from domestic terrorists and organized crime. The criminal world and foreign based terrorists are celebrating.

Whistleblower Alleges Normalized Anti-Semitism at the BBC
The bias of some employees at the BBC has already been documented. Even supporters of the BBC and critics of Israel have reported on the issue. For example, https://www.theguardian.com/media/article/2024/aug/02/bbc-accused-gaslighting-jewish-staff-antisemitism-complaints The BBC has been accused of “gaslighting” a group of more than 200 of its Jewish staff, contributors and suppliers over the handling of detailed complaints about antisemitism at the corporation. The group’s complaints included a letter to the BBC chair, Samir Shah, calling for an investigation into what it warned could amount to a “serious institutional racism problem”. The correspondence, first reported by Deadline and published by Variety, cited social media posts on the Israel-Gaza conflict, including those by the Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker, the Apprentice contestant Asif Munaf and others by BBC Arabic staff. Other correspondence included a 30-page dossier of anonymous complaints from staff about their experiences of antisemitism at the BBC. A large part of the problem is associated with the SE Asian (Pakistani & Bengali) and Arabic employees who offer a litany of hateful statements in their respective language programming. Within the English programming units there are a number of very vocal proponents of their personal bias. They are enabled by a management afraid of antagonizing these employees and a militant union. Your justification of the October 7 breach of a truce and a ceasefire is astonishing for its perverted and disturbed blaming of the victims. You are excusing the violent rapes and murder of children based upon your own false narrative. Missiles, rockets and mortars were launched daily from Gaza. The fundamental principle of Hamas was the destruction of the state of Israel and the killing of all Israelis including arabs who wanted to live in peace.

Rabbi's Murder Sparks Terror Alert for Israelis in Thailand
There is no evidence to support your claim that the deceased was an "outspoken Jewish supremacist Rabbi. The man was employed primarily to manage a kosher supermarket, to ensure that people could access kosher food. I doubt he had much time to bother the locals with jewish supremacy. In respect to the presence of holocaust survivors, what's your point? Must our society repeat its mistakes? The point of remembering events such as the holocaust is to prevent future events from occurring. I suggest you make time to visit the Holocaust museum in Washington DC. Because of attitudes like yours we saw the killing Fields in Cambodia, the Rwandan-Burundi genocide, the Bosnian ethnic cleansing etc. And now today in Darfur, 100,000 Africans are slaughtered at the hands of muslim militias, while some hateful people with insecurities are too busy inventing false narratives about a murdered harmless rabbi. And no, there is no hysteria. From the river to the sea means the absolute destruction of Israel and all of its people.

There was no deflection, nor implication. On the contrary, your personal bias resulted in an incorrect inference.

British Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of 6-Year-Old Thai Stepdaughter
Depressing story. And what of the child victim? What will happen to her? Can she access the psychological care and assistance necessary to heal? Truly a horrible read.

My Thai Girlfriend Wants Breast Implants. Should I Approve?
Ok. I did. Breast implants have become a ubiquitous symbol of beauty and self-improvement, yet the potential risks associated with them suggest that their allure may be misleading. A growing body of evidence indicates that silicone breast implants (SBIs) can lead to serious health issues, including Breast Implant Illness (BII), which encompasses a range of debilitating symptoms such as chronic fatigue and cognitive dysfunction. These symptoms often persist long after the initial surgery, raising ethical concerns about prioritizing aesthetic enhancement over women's long-term health. Complications such as implant rupture and capsular contracture are common, but more alarming is the potential association between SBIs and autoimmune diseases. Although the causal links remain contentious, studies indicate higher incidences of conditions like scleroderma among women with these implants. This suggests that many women may unwittingly trade their health for temporary physical enhancements. The emotional toll of living with BII or experiencing complications from breast implants cannot be understated. Many women report dissatisfaction and regret following their surgeries when faced with unexpected health challenges. The decision to undergo such procedures should involve comprehensive discussions about these risks rather than superficial considerations of beauty standards. Ultimately, it is crucial for individuals to weigh the potential dangers against societal pressures to conform to an idealized image—highlighting the folly inherent in prioritizing breast augmentation at the expense of overall well-being. I have put as much thought into this response as the lead did in posing the question. 😁

Covid-19 Origin: Final Report, Select Subcommittee.
POSTING IN EXTRA LARGE BOLD FONT DOES NOT ADD CREDIBILITY TO A BIASED OPINION The report is authored by Republican Representatives and does not support the claim of a laboratory origin. The report is heavy on praise of former President Trump's response such as a travel ban and the vaccine initiative. It is a regurgitation of several unsupported claims made during the pandemic. Although it is possible that theremay have been a lab origin, what is ignored is that the same lab was studying samples taken from the live animal markets where the disease is believed to have originated. The subcommittee Democrat members have dissented from some of the report conclusions saying the Republican members had failed to “shed meaningful light on the question of the COVID-19 pandemic’s origins.” The criticisms against Fauci rane from “baseless to frivolous.” “It was repeatedly explained to the Select Subcommittee that all prior epidemics and pandemics, as well as almost all prior outbreaks, have zoonotic origins."

Starmer is doing what he must to defend the UK's best interest. Although Donald may relish at the humiliation of the UK, it is unlikely that Starmer's words will convince the Trump administration.

Trump orders Hostages released
The hostages are most likely long dead. Qatar and Hamas have been financing Hamas. It's now up to them to instruct Hamas to release the dead bodies or to tell the Israelis where the bodies can be found.

Protests in Georgia Amid Arrest of British National for Orchestrating Violent Demonstration
Everything is a conspiracy and super secret plot. It is doubtful that a scrawny english teacher from Liverpool was in the employ of MI6. Most likely a convenient pastsy. At worst an opportunistic vandal doing what scousers like to do. I don't suppose you have ever heard of the concept called due process?

I know a 14 yr old thai girl who was recently pregnant and had an abortion.
That's depressing. In Hua Hin, it's like a second career for elderly hookers. Maybe it's the hard living of drinking and smoking and late hours, but they don't age well. Lucky for them the customers are even older and don't see well in the dark.

The ICC's Credibility Crisis: Why It May Be Beyond Redemption
The criticisms of the ICC were there long before the flawed arrest warrants for the Israelis were issued. The ICC had a hard on for the USA during the last Trump presidency and it resulted in the USA taking action against the ICC chief prosecutor and the court itself. The ICC concept noble. Unfortunately, it is overly politicized and is a tool of biased forces. Over the past decade, the ICC has lost many of its key cases and instead fixated on popular causes. The prosecutors are often criticized as inept, biased and corrupt and court actions motivated more by political bias than by justice. The very fact that France has stated that the ICC warrants are unenforceable because they are illegal should tell you something.

I know a 14 yr old thai girl who was recently pregnant and had an abortion.
Not likely. Read the description. Overweight with her ultra processed food diet Unless there is a fetish venue in Pattaya for fatsos, she won't be flaunting her wares. I am anticipating domestic violence casualty or drug dealing, e.g. drug mule. Or maybe a tiktok influencer........

Thailand aims to become education hub with global universities
It seems that China is trying to get there there. Pre Covid there were 500,000 international students in China. The number fell off during the Chinese lockdown but is now in excess of 350,000. It is quite a contrast to the countries I would describe as whoring themselves. Canada has 1.1 million+ international students. Australia 700,000+. Compared to the USA with 1.1 million and the UK at 586,000. one can see that Canada and Australia have been irresponsible. Add to that the 4 million temporary workers in Canada and it is easy to see why there is a housing shortage, and a clogged medical care system in Canada and why Australia has some of the same shortages. The takeaway is that is Thailand takes in hundreds of thousands of foreign students, it will create an affordable housing shortage in its cities.

Martial law in Seoul.
It is playing out like a Korean Netflix drama. Reminds me of Chief of Staff. The President was cornered. The opposition has a majority in parliament and was picking off the President's cronies and allies in the judicial branch, voting on the impeachment of senior prosecutors because of alleged corruption. The president is using martial law to order the military to close parliament and to ban the activities of political parties. The military now takes control of all media in the country. It is a draconian measure and is putting the military in the position of reverting back to dictatorship. I don't know how this will be allowed to continue as western governments will not support the suspension of democratic rights. The South Korean military may see a revolt from its younger officers who are educated and not aligned with the corrupt senior command staff. Just a disgrace and a step back in time to a period when South Korea was ruled by a corrupt, despotic dictatorship. It will be up to the courts to stop the madness. Failing that, wait for Seoul to erupt in violent protests.

7-Eleven Teams with British Embassy to Boost Thailand Road Safety
A day does not go by when the British Embassy in Thailand is not responding to one of its nationals in crisis. You have no idea of the amount of babysitting and cleanup personnel at the embassy must do. 800,000+ UK nationals visit or stay in Thailand. A number of them cause havoc, destruction and embarrassment. The embassy staff must deal with the mess they make. FYI feel free to share with fellow UK nationals. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/thailand-prisoner-pack/information-pack-for-british-nationals-arrested-or-detained-in-thailand
