  1. Thanks for this reply - good to know they appear to be aware of the issues with ThailandPlus. I'm happy to download whatever apps they require to be installed - fells like it is just a case of doing whatever they need, depending on who you are dealing with. There is no set / consistent approach or answer to this. I've taken a mental note of the force close for future. I'm using ASQ rather than 'sandbox' - I'll just have it working and charged up for the 14 days whilst in the hotel room to keep things simple. I've just seen the update re shorter quarantines being proposed again for go-live in October. Hopefully these are approved and will apply to my ASQ period which starts near the end of October. 7 days ASQ instead of 14 will be great.
  2. Thanks for this info. Good to know the issue isn't being faced by just me! I have the app installed on my phone - I just hope they dont ask me to open it.... I've managed to get it installed & working on my iPad. This, however, won't have network access at all times and I'm not carrying this about when outside! Hopefully, having the app on my front screen page of my phone &/or the ipad working will be sufficient to get me through whatever checks I face. I'll continue to check the app on my phone and see if whatever bugs / upgrades are added to the current version to fix the issues being faced.
  3. I think Mor Chana app is specific to the 'sandbox' schemes - I'm doing ASQ in Bangkok so, as far as I'm aware, the correct App for me is the ThailandPlus. Hopefully it will be fixed by then! Thanks for replying.
  4. I've just read the reviews on the Play Store for this App. All of the Reviews from the last week are flagging the same issue. Hopefully the 1 Star reviews will prompt someone to apply a fix asap. I wonder how arrivals in the last week have gotten around this issue. I don't travel for 4 weeks so will continue to monitor the position. Anyone with first hand experience / insight would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Hi all - anyone facing issues with the ThailandPlus app? I've been able to install the App and prompted to Register when I completed the initial downlaod and opened the App for the first time. At that time, I didn't have the CoE full approval so was unable to complete the Registration. When the CoE was approved, I tried to open the App to Register but it opens / closes within a few seconds. I've tried Uninstall / Install but same issue. Also tried Google searches to see if this is a known issue / any tips on how to resolve but struggling to find a solution. My mobile is a Samsung if that makes a difference. Any assistance / guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. CB
  6. Hi all - not sure if this is the correct forum for this query but hopefully you can assist / point me in the right direction. I'm travelling to Thailand completing ASQ in Bangkok during October. Visa, CoE, ASQ, Insurance etc all sorted. Final piece is sorting the Rt-PCR test for the Fit To Fly Certificate. My flight is with Emirates - Glasgow to Dubai & then Dubai to Bangkok. My Glasgow to Dubai flight is on a Thursday at 1435. Therefore, ensuring I'm within the 72 hours I've booked a PCR test for the Monday afternoon at 1530 (so 71 hours prior to my Outbound flight). The clinic will provide the test results guaranteed the following day. My connecting flight Dubai to Bangkok is 0250 on the Friday. I will be in Dubai airport for just a few hours prior to departure on the connecting flight. My panic after booking the PCR test is, does the 'within 72 hours' actually apply for the Dubai to Bangkok flight time? If so, my Monday afternoon test will be c. 84 hours prior to departure. If so, I would need to change the PCR test to the Tuesday morning and get the test results / paperwork for printing on the Wednesday which is the day before my Outbound flight. I've tried the Emirate Q&As but cannot find anything which clarifies. I would normally get both the Glasgow & Dubia flight tickets when I check-in for both flights at the Glasgow Emirate desk so assumed it would be based on the first flight. Perhaps wrongly! I don't want to fall at this final hurdle so any assistance / advice would be appreciated. Hopefully I'm over-thinking this...... Thanks CB
  7. Or £10 cash and they sort it for you. I found this out the hard way! The E-visa site / website needs to be simplified.
  8. I definitely think it is a positive. Compare c. 700k (1%) Ave per day with other countries. You will find that the peak for US (c. 3 Million per day 1%) & UK (650k 1% of pop.) was achieved for a short period. Thailand have been hitting these daily Ave figures for 2 weeks & plan is to increase this to c. 770k (24 million doses in October). Appreciate they had a slow start however the current rates and plans for next month are impressive and by the end of October, you should be looking at 1st Dose 65% & 2nd Dose 45% depending on appetite / take-up. The next 6-7 weeks are crucial.
  9. It's nearer 18% and rising at a steady rate. Last 2 weeks Daily Ave of c. 700k per day is quite impressive but if you want to find negatives I'm sure you can, and by the sounds of it, always will.
  10. This. I have an internal flight following ASQ in 8 weeks time. I won't have the digital health pass unless it is able to recognise Scottish NHS vaccine status QR code / letters. I'll leave off booking the flight and continue to monitor the position. Plan B would be a 10 hour drive which is painful.
  11. Thanks for the first hand info. I'm going to keep it simple - book the 12.25 flight based on the helpful replies so far. I'll of course confirm with the ASQ when I book it next week.
  12. Appreciate the info. I'll confirm with the ASQ hotel direct once finalised but I think I'm safe to book a mid-day internal flight based on the replies so far. Are you travelling onwards after check-out? If so, are you expecting to do ASL / Home isolation on arrival?
  13. Sounds like a good plan - thanks for sharing. Did you have to do any ASL / Home Isolation on arrival? Did you fly to Chiang Mai? My understanding / hope is that as long as I travel same day ASQ check out straight to internal flight, I should be able to avoid this. Any info / guidance you can provide on this part of the journey would also be appreciated.
  14. Thanks for the additional info. I wasn't aware of that - much appreciated. I'll book the internal flight as soon as my CoE is pre-approved which should be next week.
  15. Yes, based on the replies so far, I feel more confident in booking the 1230 flight. Thanks for your input.
  16. My check out day is a Saturday early November. On checking 2 flights on Bangkok Airways (1230 & 1730) there are only 9 seats left on both flights already and my flight is early November. These flights will be sold out this week never mind in 7 weeks time when I check-in. Hope this clarifies the urgency. Appreciate there are another 5 airways with flights (Smile / Thai Lion AIr / Thai Viet Jet Air / Air Asia & Nok Air) but doubt there will be seats available by that time. ASQ not booked yet - I will book one nearer the airport if that is required once I understand the check-out times / rules. I don't share your confidence that the travel restrictions will only become more relaxed. I hope you are right but not sure how you have arrived at that position. Leaving it until the following day is an option. See my earlier reply re the Risk of doing so.
  17. That is an option. The Risk with doing that is having to do ASL / Home isolation when you arrive in Chiang Mai having spend time in a 'Dark Red zone' albeit 1 day. At least if I travel same day as ASQ check-out, I can demonstrate from the paperwork that I have completed ASQ in BKK & immediately left for Chaing Mai on the first available flight having spent no time in the 'Dark Red zone'. I've seen on other threads on this same topic that this gives you the best chance of avoiding the additional quarantine / isolation. Some have still completed Home isolation on arrival which I think is a bit harsh - some not all. I doubt there are no rules - this would mean you would check out at 12.01 on the final day which doesn't feel right. Hopefully someone who has completed ASQ can confirm.
  18. Hi folks - anyone able to assist with Bangkok ASQ check out times on Day 15? Now that Bangkok Airways have started their internal flights to Chiang Mai again from today, I was wanting to book a flight. Choices are 0800, 1225 & later in the day at 1705. Need to confirm the check out time to ensure I have enough travel time to get to the airport for say 1100 for the 1225. Assume this will be sufficient time to cover the additional checks and paperwork required for internal flights. Is 1h25mins sufficient? I've tried a few of the ASQ sites but cannot find any details. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks CB
  19. Thanks for confirming. Relax, deep breathes, expect delays and an inefficent process & I won't be disappointed at the end of it! I suppose on this occassion, it just reduces the number of hours on ASQ Day 0 that I spend alone in my room! Once I get through travelling / ASQ, the banks & immigration will be once every few months. Deal with those joys in due course.
  20. Thanks again for your input Ubonjoe. Appreciate the vacc certificate isn't mandatory unless for sandbox in Phuket or Samui however, the CoE application site does require you to upload this document prior to allowing you to submit the CoE Stage 1 application request. This is after selecting ASQ from the dropdown Options of ASQ or Sandbox (not exact wording) on the first page of the site. I'll upload the vacc status letter on receipt from the SNHS and hopefully this will be approved without delay. CB
  21. Very useful - thanks for sharing. Just one small query to ensure I've got this - at the first check after showing all of the docs including Boarding Pass, they will then give you a further document which you then take to the senior officer desk of the health authority & go through your documents plus this new one again. Is that correct? Thanks for clarifying.
  22. Hi folks - hope you can assist. I'm travelling from Scotland to Thailand during October. The CoE application proof of vaccine status requirement states in RED that the documentation must include your Passport No. Extract from https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/ below: - Certificate of vaccination shall include personal details (full name, date of birth, nationality and passport number) and vaccination details (name of vaccine, date of vaccination and batch number of vaccine). If the certificate does not meet requirements of the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand or could not verify its authenticity, travellers may be quarantined for no less than 14 days. The issue is that the vaccination status information on the Scottish NHS (SNHS) portal doesn't contain the Passport number. Whilst the official letter won't meet the '....requirements of the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand...', I assume they will be able to '...verify its authenticity...' and therefore approve the application. I will be entering Thailand via ASQ so regardlesss, I will be doing the '..quarantine for no less than 14 days.' anyway. Has anyone obtained a CoE recently travelling from Scotland? Any issues with using the SNHS vaccination status letter? If so, how did you get around this? Any info would be appreciated, Thanks CB
