  1. This instruction applies only to countries on the Green List. 8 Countries have been moved to the Green List but Thailand is not one of them and remains on the Red List and consequently requires a stay of 11 nights in a quarntine hotel in the UK at a cost of 2250 pounds forone person plus two tests.
  2. I learnt many things from one paticular 'Brother' when at Boarding School. He eventually gave up on me!!!!!!!!
  3. I am sure we could pass the day exchnging quotes, but 'she who must be obeyed wants to go shoping and needs her ATM with her!'
  4. Other than the following, I cannot help, sorry; In Nomine is a role-playing game designed by Derek Pearcy and published in 1997 by Steve Jackson Games, based on the French game In Nomine Satanis/Magna ...
  5. In nomine Patris et fillii et Spiritus Sancti" is Latin for "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost/Spirit"... to which one would reply "Amen.
  6. Thailand is to remain on the UK Red List of countries. Currently, should you wish to visit the UK from a Red Listed country, a mandatory 11 night stay in a hotel, at a cost of 2,250 pounds, will be necessary, plus two tests, one on the second day and one on the eigtht day. It was hoped that Thailand would be removed from the Red List at the review notified on 17 September, but that has not happened. i understand that that the UK review team do not consider Thailand is dealing with the Covid - 19 vaccination programme or its response to testing and indentifying possible new variants, in a manner appropriate to dealing with the virus. in a manner which would warrant removal from the Red List. If my understanding is correct, then I foresee Thailand remaining of the UK Red List for sometime.
  7. Why would there be? Moderna is not going to be part of the Government programme and any such vaccine that comes into Thailand will be purely a commercial transaction and therefore of no concern to the Government. I maybe wrong but that's is my understanding.
  8. Thank you for the above. Nice to know there are mature and sensible people on this forum unlike some!
  9. I would appreciate an update on on the progress of the subject matter please. The UK Vaccine Minister as you will be aware told a debate in Parliament that a decision would most likely be announced recognizing the AZ vaccine made under licence in Thailand by the end of August. We are now 7 days into September and still no confirmation. I am travelling to the UK shortly and whilst there am hoping to attend a show in the West End and have been informed by the Theatre that I must have proof of an acceptable vaccination. Additionally a restaurant, where I plan to take my family to celebrate ocassion, has also informed me that a similiar condition will apply. My question is simply ' why the delay'
  10. i did not get any reaction from the 1st AZ jab,in fact I wonderedif I had received the vaccine. Maybe the 2nd will be a different story or not! I had a flu jab many many years ago and i was in bed for 10 days. Never again. Shellfish has the same effect.
  11. Thankyou for the suggestion but not necessay now. Bangkok Hospital Khon Kaen having received my email declining, called me and said they would arrange an appointment to have AZ. 10/10 for their proactive help.
  12. There has been some uncertainty regarding whether the British government would officially recognise the Astrazeneca vaccine made in Thailand. The UK Vaccine Minister - Mr Nadhim Zahawi recently signalled that the UK would accept all versions of Astrazeneca. He told a House of Commons debate that UK Nationals who have been vaccinated oveseas will be able to talk to their GP, go through what vaccine they have had, and have it registered with the NHS that they have been vaccinated. GPs will have to vet people as to whether the vaccine they had received overseas was approved for use in the UK, He also hinted that those who are not registered with a GP in the UK, that all travellers from abroad who had received vaccines authorised for use in the UK, would also have their vaccines recognised as proof of immunity and would not be required to self quarantine. So in answer to your question - No, I don't need anything else cleared up!!
  13. Not if you have pans to travel to the UK in future
  14. I have today declined an appointment to have the pfizer vaccine as my uk doctor told me some months ago that the vaccine has the potential to cause an Anaphalixis reaction which I have unfortunately experienced previously, i had registred to have Astrazeneca but obviously that is not available.
  15. I am toying with the idea of renting an apartment in Khon Kaen City and would appreciate recommendations regarding studio condios. I already have house 46kms outside KK but wantto have the opportunity to getback to civilisation each month, A studio condo would be suffficent but it would need to be near to places to eat and have transport links to Central Plaza. Also advice as to where expats in KK meet up for a chat. Look forward to receiving sensible replies. Thanks.
  16. Understand it went to the UK Treasury to be used to upgrade Embassies around the world Oh! and some new curtains for Boris and Carrie.Lol
  17. We are both in agreement then that it would be 'sad' if amber becomes red. All I was doing was highlighting the possibility, as the orignal poster was obviously unaware of the scenario. Always good to be aware of obstacles, don't you agree?
  18. Why sad? I said possibility and that's a fact. Decision is based on more than numbers i.e numbers fully vaccinated and how fast is particular country vaccinating its population. notwithstanding this, I also do not want Thailand to go Red as I plan to go to the Uk shortly.
  19. One caveat you missed. Maybe today orcertainly tomorrow (26Aug) UK will publish its revised Traffic Light system (i.e Green,Amber amd Red countries for possible quarantine) and there is a possibility that Thailand could move from amber to red. If that happens travellers into UK will have to undergo quarantine in a hotel at a cost of 2250pounds. Let's hope that doesn't happen.
  20. I understand that after having the first AZ shot, an appointment date for the 2nd shot is given. How is this possible if AZ is in short supply. How does the hospital know if they will have the necessary vaccine at that time?
  21. Why do you have to question my understanding and empathy for @Chris B. Not all on this site enjoy 'winding up' people as you put it. It is most certainly is not one of my characteristics, Nothing more to say to you. Goodbye.
