So there you have it.
My verdict: I'll try to change the extension if I can to a thicker cable (I dunno how easy it is to do that in Thailand).
If they don't let me, I'll just use it as is, since it's rated for it by "Thai industry standards" and just not leave it unattended.
Longest I ever use the oven is 30 minutes straight, and never at the maximum temperature of 230 C, probably 220 C at *most*. (My normal practice for all appliances even my cooking stove is to never use the highest setting)

By the way my cable is 3 meters, if that counts for anything.

Toshino are a reasonably good brand so the chances are that the extension is actually rated somewhere near what it says.
But I do note that the flex is 0.75mm2 which would put its continuous rating at about 6A in free air so your 1500W load (about 7A) is going to have it get pretty warm. Don't leave it unattended when the oven is turned on, just the fridge will be fine.
Personally, I'd go out and buy some 1.5mm2 3-core flex (good for 16A), a 3-pin plug and a 3-pin traily outlet (I've seen them in 2 and 4 outlet style), then make your own lead to your requirements.
The extension states 10A which is higher than 7A... am I missing something? (I'm not an electrical guy)
Confused ????

And I thought only computer people were geeks nowadays ????
But thanks guys, your replies are awesome ????

Thanks, Crossy!

Worry seems to be about the extension but what about the power point itself and what all is connected to that circuit? Old house or apartment this plug may be part of just one circuit that is already loaded to the max.
Yup, that's always a risk, for any appliance. The building's around 10 years old; relatively new.

Just now, Jan Dietz said:
The rating on the label is 220V 0.9AMP, so ~200W MAX load.
nothing to worry about.
Thanks... I was wondering what the AMP rating was.

if he's allowed to that would make sense.
I don't like the extension leads as the sockets seem to be even lower quality than the fixed wall mount sockets, the pins inside 'splay' and contact becomes iffy after a few in and outs with plugs. plus they get in the way and risk breaking or the add chang beer being spilt on them if they are on the counter
I stick them up on the wall, so no risk of spills; plus I only unplug/replug at most once a year.

can you not change the single socket to a double
Would have to go through my very old landlady who I haven't seen in 5 years, and then the red tape of the condo juristic person, then would have to use the official maintenance here; so I'd rather not.
Thanks for the replies, folks. (More are welcome, of course)

Okay thanks!
Wow, do fridges really have such low wattage?
I guess so. I'm surprised...
Quotenever did trust those extension leads though....
Yeah, but even if their 2,300 watts of the extension is "exaggerated," I'd think it's a safe buffer if 1,300 watts (oven) + 160 watts (fridge) = 1,460 watts total... very below the 2,300 watts.
I'm more surprised about the fridge being labelled as just 160 watts max ????
(but what do I know, I'm not an electric guy at all)

Hi!
The only space in my small condo unit to put my small oven is on top of the fridge.
Unfortunately I only have one power outlet near the fridge ???? so I'll have to use a circuit switch with 2 outlets.
Oven is 1,300 watts.
Circuit switch up to 2,300 watts.
Refrigerator... I don't know where to see the wattage? It's in Thai (attached).
Is it safe to do this?

Thanks! That's all I need to know @johng

So if renew 5-year license after expiration, can get almost 6 years validity, correct?
Any penalty or extra hassle if renewing after expiration? ????
(Other than getting caught by cops or accident while driving with an expired license, which I don't intend to do)
By the way, I plan to renew at Bangchak, Bangkok

Hi, do you guys know of any type of polish (Old English perhaps?) that I can buy (and where) for the tiny dining table in my condo?
I'm not sure if it's varnished or brown-painted (it's brown but you can see the wood grains if you look close enough), and now I noticed after lifting the cheap food place mat (which was mildly stuck to the wood when I lifted the place mat off of it) that there are some white streaks. These are not normal "water white spots or circles" which can be wiped off, but some sort of white damage/discoloration to the ultra-thin outer layer of varnish/paint (I think).
So,
1) What chemical/brand can I try (if any)?
2) Where to find it in Bangkok?
Thanks!

Beside the Snake Farm, yes.

No queue when I went. Its entrance is near Chamchuri Square (mall). Queen Saovabha building. You can Google Queen Saovabha Travel Clinic

UPDATE: This year Red Cross DOES have the updated quadrivalent, got it today, 550 baht. Get it before flu strikes... (suddenly lotsa people coughing and sneezing in the BTS and everywhere)
-
Looks like the flu shot has come early!
I usually get it every year cheaply at Red Cross on Rama 4, but:
1) They usually only offer the "trivalent" (protection against only 3 flu strains) instead of the "quadrivalent" (against 4 flu strains), and
2) Last year they got their new updated batch by around October, I dunno if going there now will give me the updated shot. What hospital (preferably the less expensive ones) do you recommend for the latest updated quadrivalent shot?
...And not last year's shot (which I already got)?
WHO website says the recommended strains, but not the brands; and I dunno how to explain this to Thai hospital staff, especially over the phone

Hi! Tried searching the site and Googling but all I could find was how to extend a B visa which was expiring.
Mine is expiring a full year from now but I'm required to exit every 90 days with my Non-B multiple entry.
Unfortunately, my next available time to travel is exactly 7 days after that.
1) Can I extend this easily and/or cheaply at a Bangkok immigration office? Perhaps with a 7 day extension if it's available for this? (Cheaper than flying to nearby country on low-cost airline for a day? I don't want to do a border run).
2) Stamp says "Admitted until August 21." So... ONLY IF I am able to get a 7 day extension... by what date exactly must I stamp-out at the airport? August 27, 28, or 29?
Thanks!

Because someone may have already experienced it, with an experience different from what the bank said.
And yes, that "mismatch" has happened in my experience.
And no, I would not "insist that the bank does what a poster here tells" me.
Wattage of Refrigerator: Safe to Use This?

Changed to very thick 1.5 just in case ????
1) To minimize kinks/bends, I stuck it to the wall upside down... (See attached). Any issue with that?
2) Is it ok if the coil's extra slack behind fridge touches back of the fridge like compressor, etc?
