  1. When your intention/ travel history does not match the type of visa you hold is when IO start asking questions. Don’t blame the officer for doing her job.
  2. So bombing an embassy killing officials of a sovereign state is ok, right? Iran’s reaction was in accordance with international laws. Isreal is on the way out unless they get rid of Stone Age politicians.
  3. It can’t (or doesn’t care) about safeguarding its citizens at home (pollution, road accidents and many more) but any opportunity to make a statement on a seemingly world stage (not that anyone notices) cannot be missed.
  4. Naughty girl. This is what happens when you don’t involve cops in your illegal businesses. Greed is not good!!!
  5. Some do that. But my Thai friend says it’s illegal for them to demand paying right away. I got caught speeding a couple of months ago near Chiangmai. At checkpoint the cop waved me aside, showed me photo of speed camera taken a few moments earlier, wrote the ticket, asked for payment. I politely said it’s ok I’ll pay later. He handed me the ticket, went on my way. If you encounter a situation where police demand payment on the spot or take your vehicle keys etc tell them about the illegality pull out your smartphone and pretend or actually record the exchange. The cop will Sh!t himself and will let you go.
  6. He seems unwell. Perhaps a combination of local food and drink had something to do with it.
  7. No big deal. In oz we get lots of reports about attacks by hammer heads.
  8. For him to make a public statement suggests some credibility about the bribe. Otherwise why bother even comment. Btw the guy has a mean look about him.
  9. Not so bright. Selling arms on fb. What could go wrong? It must’ve been a pissed off buyer falling victim to the fake fb accounts that initiated this.
  10. “The police have charged the individuals with organising and promoting illegal gambling activities without a permit” sooooooo, you need a permit to run illegal gambling activities? Well noted thanks. But Big Joke isn’t doing it no more. Or is he?
  11. One would think authorities can do just about anything at the right price. Can’t see why they can’t put a few stamps in his passport removing the overstay issue. If Redbull’s kid can have his report altered following killing of a policeman, it seems conceivable that an overstay issue can be fixed with less effort.
  12. Fierce bidding happening at RTP as to who’ll get a free trip to UK to help investigators. This follows social media photos at tourist sites in London. Upon return the officer who paid the highest to the decision maker will submit a google translation of the report prepared by London police.
  13. Can’t use the motorway. I’ve done it a few time on a big bike using non motorway roads. It’s similar to driving anywhere in urban Thailand. Go for it.
  14. I think Thailand’s contribution to a NATO alliance will be immeasurable. A stopover in pattaya or Phuket to recharge combatants’ batteries can be valuable. Can’t see other ways Thailand could be of value.
  15. Yeah. Before anything find out whether you’re allowed to own such a business. If yes, you’ll need to deal with the work permit if you wish to be engaged in running it. Lastly there are quite a few water related family places in pattaya. Starting a business that may be in conflict with another business with ties to local authorities (bribes) would not receive a warm welcome. Not an issue if you like dramas.
  16. Normal people? A bit condescending don’t you think? I do have a position on missionary though. It’s a favorite position by many although one should consider other positions. Variety, variety, variety.
  17. I did my online reporting yesterday and was rejected today, first time it has happened. Went to immigration with passport only. 5 minutes later got the paper. There’s no explanation regarding reasons for rejecting online applications.
  18. We can’t have fat foreign women getting a foothold in LOS. That’s what most of us ran away from. Let’s petition Human Rights groups to lobby on our behalf. Issue/deny visas on BMI basis as a start…
  19. Well written story. Heart vs brain conflicts are as old as time and will continue. In majority of cases time heals the heartache allowing brain to take control …. until the next conflict.
  20. I suspect there’s more to it than what we read. Nonetheless, physically assaulting a human being or two is unacceptable.
