  1. That's should bring about a decent tantrum...
  2. @thaibeachlovers There this ratio of bombs/munitions per casualty. Figures provided by both sides indicate it's pretty low, some counts indicate almost 1:1. That would not happen if there was total disregard for human lives, as you claim. Israel could easily flatten the Gaza Strip in a much shorter time than this war is on - at the price of many more casualties.
  3. @thaibeachlovers You tossing 'war crimes' and 'crimes against humanity' means very little. You have not displayed much evidence that you actually understand what they are, and how these matters are decided. You also regularly overlook actual instances of these perpetrated by Hamas. Talk about 'blind hate'....
  4. The IDF already confirmed soldiers shot the escaped hostages.....
  5. @thaibeachlovers That would be you wrong (feeling charitable this morning) again. There were no such Israeli attacks prior to Hamas taking over. Reason being it was under Israel's control.
  6. @thaibeachlovers How is it 'more expensive', and why would you care? Stopping the war in the Gaza Strip would imply nations would 'have to' front a whole lot of funds for rehabilitation, possibly even troops sent. The USA already got naval assets in the region, so do other countries. It's not such a big deal as you make it to be. As for the Houthi problem going away - I think that's naive, at best. If they realize they can do this and get away with it while getting what they want - they'll do it over and over again. The Seychelles's coast guard may not intercept any missiles, but seems it's quite adept dealing with piracy, boarding attempts and so on - this featured among the Houthi actions as well. 7. It's not so much about Hamas - not like they are popular in the West (some protests and elements therein aside). The point is that such things tend to effect how the side is perceived, and so, might carry negative effect for the Palestinians in general. The same way them illegal Israeli settlers in the West Bank effect Israel's image - even if they do not represent all of the Israeli public.
  8. Political support for the Palestinian cause. If you think act of terrorism on European soil do anything positive for it, we'll have to disagree.
  9. "You have no credibility here." People who live in glass houses and all that.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1314517-hostages-were-carrying-white-cloth-when-shot-idf-says/page/3/#comment-18563616
  10. Political support by European governments and the people they represent. You protest too much....
  11. @billd766 The same can be asked of you - it's not like your posts on these topics are anywhere near balanced either. As for comment - you are right in that it should not have happened. But it did. Sometimes bad things happen. Soldiers panic, soldiers make mistakes, soldiers act against orders. This is not unique to the IDF. Over the years, there were incidents of Palestinians using whichever normative cover - children, elderly, medical crews, press jackets, and so on as deception leading to attacks. There were reports (before this incident) about Hamas men trying to lure IDF soldiers to ambush calling them in Hebrew.
  12. I think you made a nonsense claim you cannot back up. Rather than admit that, you go on a deflection campaign aimed at derailing the topic and covering your failure.
  13. Seven arrested in Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands over suspected terrorism plots https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/seven-arrested-in-germany-denmark-the-netherlands-over-suspected-terrorism-plots/ar-AA1lvBTd Four arrested in Europe over alleged cross-border Hamas terrorism plot https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/dec/14/four-arrested-in-europe-over-alleged-cross-border-hamas-terrorism-plot Denmark widens terror investigation that coincides with arrests of alleged Hamas members in Germany https://apnews.com/article/europe-terror-investigation-denmark-germany-hamas-netherlands-e85ba592202a80718c4c220d1fc55aa4 That's not a great way to secure and maintain political support.....
  14. I said nothing about 'off topic', I pointed out you're deflecting. Spin it as you like, you cannot back up your claim. As usual, you just dig deeper.
  15. You keep deflecting. This has nothing to do with your original claim.
  16. That's the best deflection you can come up with? You claimed you weren't referring to a country's leader. Your posts show otherwise.
  17. Sure.... My question: https://aseannow.com/topic/1314517-hostages-were-carrying-white-cloth-when-shot-idf-says/page/2/#comment-18563578 Your response: https://aseannow.com/topic/1314517-hostages-were-carrying-white-cloth-when-shot-idf-says/page/2/#comment-18563582
  18. The leader of a country is not usually a 'military commander', nor does he carry 'command responsibility', he does not have 'effective command and control' over troops on this level either. And even if that wasn't the case - 'can be liable' - a far cry from your decisive, yet obviously wrong, opinion.
  19. Going off topic is practically your trademark. Same old - you make bogus claims you can't support.
  20. Your original comment, to which I replied was a one liner without any links. You can believe what you will. And I did not say they were 'lies' - that's something you made up. I said they do not decide these things, and labeling them as 'authoritative' (the word you used), was a choice. What you said is a lie.
  21. Are you serious? You think that the norm is that every time a soldier does something wrong a country's leader steps down?
  22. Yes...and? It talks about the possibility of, may amount to, etc. Again, you state things as facts.
