I think we need to make a distinction here between the Russians that are here for an extended period of time and the traditional tourists.
The former are often younger, sometimes 1-2 young kids and are working.
The latter tend to be rude and big, men and women.
Must be low ranking officials then. What I see is they're working online, coming out in the weekends. No money in their pockets.
Yes, buying ED visa. Bribing, why when they can legitimately obtain ED visa?
It's the grifter amongst the candidates that keeps on asking for donations to fund his court cases. Even though these cases already seem to be funded by PAC's.
Maybe it is based on a deal with the DoJ? Trump gets charged so DoJ does what it has to do and Trump gets to make money out of it. ????
I don't trust those numbers. A year ago or so there was a major influx, but many if them seem to have left. I see far less Russians around atm then half a year or so ago
I didn't know people traffickers provide work visa. Good to know.
"It's very rare to hear from a victim of modern slavery in person, but one woman who came to the UK on a work visa - and was forced to work gruelling hours as a carer - has told us her story.".
The whole story makes clear your suggestions are wrong.
A pity you missed this.
"The number of modern slavery cases reported within the UK care industry has more than doubled in the past year.
There were 109 potential victims, exploited for personal or financial gain, between January and March - twice as many as the same period in 2022."
"Investigators trying to protect workers from being exploited say the care industry is now a "top priority"."
And many more
Nothing comparable to this.
Checked out Snickers vs marathon since I never heard of that one. No surprise since Snickers was and still is the global brand name.
