  2. I live near soi 5. took taxi yest from airport

    200 meter fare

    65 tolls

My advise is get in the taxi que and tell them always to turn metor on. Will be under 300 baht.... that is a good deal in any city. It is when you try to beat the system you will get burned !

If you're in the taxi que, they will turn on the meter regardless.

  3. Yes, I suppose you are right. I suppose my 4-week stint back in the US reinstated my gullibility, along with destroying my heat tolerance. :D

The scam is all the touts trying to get you into their bandit cabs so they can rip you off.Why are they allowed to stand around and try to rip people off.Who are they paying off? :o:D

This is Thaialnd u forget. There are plenty of people to pay off.

  4. My wife works on the 28th floor just North Of Central Ladphrao on Phayonyothin. Got so shaky that they evacuated. Its a new building so maybe they were being extra careful.

On the other hand my domestic servants on the 12th floor near Ekamai and Rama 9 didn't feel a thing.

    (I just returned home)

Anyone know about construction standards in Thailand? (The building in which I live is about 30 floors and was constructed about 10 years ago).

phormio..maybe time to get more info or start to pack up and move !:o

  5. Yes, all tailor threads are the same...and it's a terrific pun. I have found that BKK-tailored suits are like many bargirls - best viewed in dim light.

so therefore baschismo, When you order your suit, take it out into the sunlight to see its real colour too!

  6. Hi all

I just can back from Pantip plaza, seems the police are having another raid there and I think they got more than one porno film which is a better than the last raid or worse depending on which way you look at it.

Everyone that sells DVD`s are closed and the police were going through one shop which when I went back to have a look later had police stickers all over the doors.

I guess not a good day to go there and by films etc. today :o

    ercorn

dont worry the shop will be open at 10am tomorrow :D

Yeap, you're definetely right about the shop going to be open again tomorw :D

  7. Surprised those guys are even considering yet another club with the money they must have lost with Mystique

Lost? It was a very popular club in bangkok. Must have done so well for ages!

  8. Have you considered looking for a scholarship/bursary? I recall seeing an advert in the BKK post advertising full tuition fees grant for either NIST or ISB? It may be worth looking at.

    Good luck

    Leisurely

If you can get a scholarship in NIST or ISB, go for it! For the price you will be paying (or NOT be paying in this case) its well worth it.

  9. yeap closed down. Neighbors complainign were the exact reason it closed. It is such a shame to see one of the best clubs in bangkok been shut down like that..always did love it there!

  10. what about that NARRY guy with all the ads in the inflight magazines. 2 or 3 ads in each mag! its narry this and narry that.

he has a NARRY hotel and a big narry beard.

its fascinating that ad- it has like a hundred logos in the ad: narry tailors and THAILORs and baaz narry narry i'm going narry crazy!!!

hahahhahahahhahahahahahhhaahhhahah!!!! its interesting narry iteself poses in his advertisements! hahahahahahahahahaha
