After months of meetings on this sandbox, the authorities have finally sorted out

an obvious thing that at least half of the Thai visa members have alreday seen since the begining:

with a 7 days quarantine in Phuket. all the 14 days quarantine hotels in Bangkok

were going to be empty of all the future returnees

So now we are at J-25, i am sure we can expect more change with more restrictions to come

At the end, the only thing lacking should be the tourists

One interesting question should be to know what are you allowed to do

from day 1 in Phuket ? Can you go anywhere you want on the island?

Mask is still mandatory everywhere? Still the alcool ban in restaurants?

Entertainements venues will be still closed? No bars, no discos, no massages?

Still a meeting with your friends\family for a drink or a meal is not allowed?

I mean alone in your hotel room with a beer from the 7\11 (If the one in the vicinity

is still open) infront of the TV is not really the idea of the fun wanted by a tourist coming in Phuket

sorry, they will be more changes coming and a Bigger cost for Tourist. that is not a holiday in any way?lock away in a room with cold food you pay for up front if you check reports on Bangkok ASQ. hotels.

Yes I visited the jail in Chang Mai, and the Americans in there said the same thing.   Do not go to jail,

as there is no personal TV, English newspapers, good food, or comfy beds.  They were all in for drug charges, and

would be headed back to their home countries just as soon as they got out at the end of their sentences.

I took a few English Bangkok post newspapers and gave a couple to the warden and the big guard, so the other 4 copies went to some

very starved prisoners that had not heard of any news for a while.

Time off for good behavior, ha!  That is a North American luxury.

    Geezer

when you commit the Crime expect to do the Time. no matter where in the World you  are. so don't start crying and asking for Ma-ma

Yesterday the Soi directly behind us was closed and the BMA spent a considerable amount of time washing and spraying at all of the entrances to the homes on that stretch and the shops.  The only reason I can see is that a case must have popped up there.  On top of that many of the homeless folks that we normally see on our walks have seemingly disappeared from here since Friday.  Stay safe folks, the numbers being found in more than just factories is growing, and I see that CP has now closed it's poultry factory due to an outbreak there.

there are still flying every day and tested with Covid-19 they say it different on the day on updates but each day up to 20 some days no-one asked how come they got on the plane

As I understand it there has been a plan in place to handle ‘transit passengers’ to ALQ locations since March.

    https://www.caat.or.th/en/archives/56377

The plan seems somewhat convoluted and requires a transfer via concourse E (which means their flight has to land at E Concourse (are all arriving flights docking at E Gates / specifically E10) - the plan then has passengers, re-boarding an onward flight via Gate E9.

I’m not sure its even in action, perhaps someone who has carried out their ALQ in Phuket can answer that one (if they transited).

The announcements I have read have stated that flights must be direct to Phuket (from an international departure point). But, I have also read an announcement which states that transit to Phuket via Suvarnabumi will be allowed for passengers on Thai Airways flights if the incoming flight is ticketed to Phuket.

There - as always, clear as mud. It wont get any clearer than mud until people actually start doing it and someone makes a details report on this forum because we can be sure that any officials involved in this really don’t care to provide anyone with details at all.

Personally: I wouldn’t be taking any chances and would book the flight direct to Phuket (i.e. via Qatar Airways etc) with fully refundable bookings and fully refundable SHA rated hotels.

(you wise man) it wont happen as they SAY.    The fully refunded is what I did before this shut down and had cancelled 12 days before had a feeling it was going to happen. I went to ARUBA instead. low covid rate. they vaccine over 10.000. every week. so had relaxing time. hot like Thailand but a great breeze . next trip to Puerto Vallarta, everything is open.  Then maybe at end of July Thailand? always check the #;s weekly

Moderna Warns New Waves of Covid-19 Are Coming

    https://www.barrons.com/articles/at-modernas-science-day-focus-is-on-covid-variants-51622204258?siteid=yhoof2

“As the virus spreads, it is rapidly mutating,” the company’s chief scientific officer, Melissa Moore, said on the call. “Some of these new viral strains appear to be even more transmissible than the original strain… We already know that some of these new strains are less susceptible to neutralization by our current vaccine.”

The company said that it tests new variants in the lab against its vaccines, and is “constantly” making and testing new versions of its vaccine. But it warned that the process is not instantaneous, and that the company’s agility is limited by the complexity of the work."

All the current vaccine;s can work and stop you from going to hospitals and having a Bad results your body can still fight it. up to 75% when you contact any of the strain;s now out, The UK.and USA have done tests

Why, the number of people who think the #1 worst tasting liquor on the planet is something"good" to drink.

I challenge anyone to name a worse tasting liquor.

Lao Khao is a delicate ambrosia compared to corn whiskey, ugh. ????

Its because of the virus it makes you feel better and cheers you up, the more you drink with NO ice your recovery time is when you sober up next morning. BIG headache,

The figures in the UK indicate clearly that once the Indian variant arrives it quickly becomes dominant and spreads much faster to the previous "Kent" variaty.

Subsequently the government concentrated on 2nd doses and cutting waiting tie as one dose gave insufficient protection for all makes of  vaccines.

if every country copy what the UK did with the vaccine they will recovery quicker
