    Hello All,

As I understand, as a Thai National my wife requires a "fit to fly" certificate for her forthcoming repatriation flight. She doesn't require a covid test.

However if she were a non Thai national, she would need both the certifcate and a negative test result.

The Royal Embassy of London provide a list of doctors.  I've lost count of how many phone calls and emails I've made these last 2 days but regardless of my explanation it appears everyone I've contacted so far is only offering a "fit to fly" after a negative covid test.

Can anyone please advise where it is possible for her to get tested for the  "fit to fly"?

    Many thanks in advance

you can go to there web site and download the form then get your doctor to sign it and stamp it you can also google it and there a form site there to download

Quarantine hotel starts legal action after man posts negative review online - even though he found a cockroach in his food!

    main.jpg

A hotel in Chonburi has launched legal action after a man posted a negative review from his own Facebook profile.

The Thai man had been staying at the hotel, which Thaivisa has chosen not to name, while undergoing mandatory quarantine after returning to Thailand from San Francisco last month.

The man, who made the post on Feb 15, said he decided to stay at the state quarantine facility because it was free and while he didn’t expect much in the way of luxury, he regretted his decision to stay there.

He described the stay as “probably the most terrible 14 days of my life” and said it wasn’t quarantine but more “like being imprisoned”.

According to the man’s post on Facebook, the non existent Wi-Fi and broken TV sounded like the least of his complaints.

The man alleged that there was fungus growing on his bed and a stench that simply would not go away, despite him changing rooms on three separate occasions.

He said all the rooms he stayed in had problems with mosquitoes and cockroaches and he even had to pay out of his own pocket for spray to have them killed.

He also said there were problems with the food and shared a photo of what appeared to be the leg of a cockroach he found in one of the meals.

The man shared a total of 46 photos and videos in his Facebook post, documenting the disgusting conditions he said he had to endure during his 14 day quarantine.

The post went viral and at the time of publishing had been shared 29,000 times.

Lots of other people commenting on the post said they had experienced similar conditions while staying at the hotel.

The hotel has since issued a statement saying it has begun legal action citing Thailand’s strict defamation laws.

[The hotel] wants to notify all related agencies to stop any kind of actions that will defame [the hotel] and violate the law,” the statement said.

“If not, we will need to take maximum legal action.”

According to Thai media, the hotel has since announced it will be closed for the next three months.

Whether the hotel’s owners will press ahead with their threats  of legal action remains to be seen.

Thai PM defends submarine purchase and explains causes of huge public debt

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has defended the Royal Thai Navy’s 22 billion baht procurement of three Yuan-class submarines from China as being worth the taxpayers’ money, compared to the 24 trillion baht in maritime interests that Thailand is expected to gain.

Maintaining that the decision to purchase the submarines was based on national and public interests, he said that they will strengthen Thailand’s maritime capabilities.

He also defended the procurement of military equipment, such as night-vision goggles, for Special Forces as being necessary for national defence, adding that those who are not military personnel may not know how important modern military hardware is for the defence of the country.

They keep carping on about the numbers of infected going down every day but i think this African Version is a lot more worrying and is likely to spread quicker.   How many people were on the Flight(s) these people took, including Crew and where are they all now ?

You are quite right to point this out nearly all on that plane got infected as this virus spreads much quicker, Thailand will have to wake up if this takes hold then its lock-down for a long time

Congratulations to all concerned for catching this strain.

The Kingdom is doing a fantastic job of controlling the Chinese  pandamic.

Many many Western countries could learn a lesson.

NO one learn;ed a lesson just look at the way country's handle it even when they were told how bad it was, it took most months to do something to control it.  and the vaccine issue is a JOKE in Europe now they want to block Thailand and other country's from having it as they already paid for it
