Damn, I was heavily considering relocating to here when I'm back in country in October until it's safe to return to BKK, but this doesn't exactly paint the prettiest picture... Is it really that bleak for restaurants?

It's so hard to follow the latest. Are there (or would there be in October) flights from Phuket to Samui to do the 7+7? Could I do Phuket and then Koh Tao? Or would I need to do the 7 all in Samui? Thanks!

Right, but it's still a markup of at LEAST 20,000 baht from what a beachfront room at a good hotel plus food for 7 days would be. It's just insult to injury to someone who moved overseas to BKK last December and already had a massive upcharge on an ASQ for 14 nights. Especially when the island is getting about 6 visitors per day. I'm all about helping the locals, but this is ridiculous

Is this serious? Hotels are practically giving away rooms, but if you want to come as part of the sandbox, the lowest price for 7 days is 35,000 baht?

Also not surprised that instead of taking any ownership of the endless insults you made about us for merely speaking logically, you of course refuse to admit any wrongness when called out and take the "oh so you're happy to be right" approach My 10 year old nephew is the same exact way when he's wrong about something. Will do whatever he can to not admit it

Not only did nobody listen, but there were tons of people here (and elsewhere) who went out of their way to deny logic and go after us for being "doomsayers"

I know this is a rather general question, butHhow have things been on Koh Tao so far? Trying to figure out my return to the country and it seems like Samui > Koh Tao (at the end of September) until it's safe enough to return to BKK is the strategy
