If you been in Thailand long enough you would already know that is the case. I'm just surprised how many of you here didnt realize that and continue to rant here about something they should be well aware of.
Yes but the government already announced they will be vaccinating everyone, must be one of those Thai 'misunderstandings' I see mentioned so often!

I'm sure most of us are not bothered about getting it free, the cost of approx. 100 baht per shot plus admin fee will be quite manageable thanks

On the other hand the dirty foreigners have vaccinated Thais citizens for free in the UK and USA weeks ago, race and nationality should not be a consideration anywhere, but they are here in the land of racists.

Then you've either never met a Theravada (Thai) Buddhist, or, you've just broken the fourth precept of laymen in order to spread discontent. Sad.
Most monks I have met don't know what the 4 noble truths or the 8 fold path are, ignorance posing as knowledge! Try asking your Mrs or the people next door!

Having no pink card mrs has been on the phone yesterday and today to our local govt Hospital, lost count of the times trying to get through but eventually got an answer. They said cannot do as they have had no govnt policy yet on how to register foreigners without an ID number and suggest go to private Hospital. I'm sure other have had different results. She asked if she could do it for me but no, can for another relative like her mother, but not for foreigner . I'd prefer to go private anyway, if it was allowed.

Courts rarely condone the payment of bribes to officials, even here

Saw a thing on You Tube about Trustpilot, the (allegedly) most trusted review site. The presenter started up a fully fake company and was getting good reviews within days.
Reviews on Lazda don't really mean anything. Go to a real shop.
Plus a shop normally gives freebies, they will spend ages setting your phone up if needed and easy to return it if there is a problem. However if you are desperate to save a few hundred baht.........

You look at reviews of product and seller, it's not rocket science, post an example?
Nothing to do with reviews, online sellers have many examples of branded phones but when you look at the specs list the very cheap ones are listed as no brand, even if they are shown as top brands, just look, it's not difficult

look at specifications, if it says no brand it's a fake 100%

Online is full of fakes at silly cheap prices listed as no brand when they are advertised as well known ones, might be the same

your feeling more relaxed doesn't make your visa more legit
The visa is legal, the extension is not, but all involved like to pretend otherwise

You're interpretation (and that of some others too, I give you). I prefer the more relaxed interpretation where It's called paying a service fee to an agent.
It's either legal or not, no interpretation needed

I thought they were like Casio watches- always '50% off'

The agent has contact with the senior officer which is not easy for you or I to obtain. It also removes you one step from what might be thought of as bribery.
So not legal then, but people want to persuade themselves otherwise. Payments to get them to do something can only be bribery, no thought about it needed.

All you need to log in is your email address or passport number.
No account found is what I got trying to log in with both, not very impressive

Therefore legal if it's issued in your home province?
I would say not if it has only been issued by a bribe. If legal why would you need an agent as middle man? you could just go in the immigration office and say no money in the bank so how much to ignore the fact!

They often close one to rebuilt it, few weeks later the new one opens looking just the same!

10 minutes ago, Brierley said:A visa extension acquired through bribery of an official cannot possibly be deemed to be 100% legit, how can it!
They argue it is in the IO's remit to ignore the financial requirements laid down by law. But only doing so for payment is at least corruption. I would think the illegal part, or at least invalid, is that the extension is mostly obtained from a province you do not live in, when the law says it has to be issued by the office that your address is in.
