  1. Pattaya is covered in a fine layer of black soot. Anytime I go outside wearing slippers I need to wash my feet when I get home. Shoes off is a practical necessity for cleanliness.
  2. This will one day be told as the story of how two hookers defeated the supreme court to bring down Trump.
  3. The settler movement are in favour of the river to the sea. Or the nile to the euphrates. Do you support that?
  4. It was true. I worked as a government casino regulator in a different state at the time. Trump's bid for Sydney casino 30 years ago rejected due to 'mafia connections’ https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/aug/16/trumps-bid-for-sydney-casino-30-years-ago-rejected-due-to-mafia-connections
  5. More journalists killed in three months of Gaza war than in all of World War II or Vietnam War. Al Jazeera journalist Hamza Dahdouh and fellow journalist Mustafa Thuraya were killed in an Israeli air strike on Dahdouh’s car on Sunday. The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has documented the killing of 102 journalists and the injury of 71 others by Israeli forces since hostilities began in October. https://www.aljazeera.com/program/inside-story/2024/1/8/what-international-solidarity-exists-with-journalists-under-israeli-attack
  6. Of course no link to these patently outrageous claims which aren't even about the war. .
  7. Attacks, arrests, threats, censorship: The high risks of reporting the Israel-Gaza war https://cpj.org/2024/03/attacks-arrests-threats-censorship-the-high-risks-of-reporting-the-israel-hamas-war/
  8. International law requires resolution by litigation, not military action. The only roadblock here is that Israel is one of several bad faith players who refuse to recognize the ICC. Spencer is just a warmonger. meanwhile: According to the Committee to Protect Journalists, at least 95 journalists and media workers have been killed since the Israel-Hamas war began on Oct. 7, including two Israeli journalists, three Lebanese journalists, and 90 Palestinian journalists. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/national-press-club-statement-on-the-ongoing-targeting-of-journalists-for-their-coverage-of-the-israel-hamas-war-302093375.html
  9. The Federalist Society would want to give it to him. He delivered for them and would be the gift that keeps on giving.
  10. Yep, I get it. One crime and that "absolutely" means immigrants bring more crime so no illegal immigrants absolutely means no increase in crime. What a ludicrous argument. Sorry, my stats teacher gave that an F.
  11. Understandable, this is a forum, not a novel. I am guilty of misreading posts frequently.
  12. I tried natto recently. I don't dislike the taste but the stink lingers in the room all day and and I kept burping natto stink the whole day. Kefir does not contain sufficient amounts of K2 to be a sufficient source on its own.
  13. Again mischaracterizing my post. There was no hint of a report nor was there one. Own it.
  14. Where was that argument when George Floyd resisted a cop arresting him for selling cigarettes? Most people who do that wind up dead. The officers obvious reluctance to kill someone for a traffic violation is the only reason there are still two brothers today in my opinion.
  15. The application of that rule has always been to prevent clipping posts without good reason. My post was not so overly long that you had cause to clip it other than to be not seen to be avoiding that part of the post. Your post explicitly referenced filming them as if to establish that was exculpatory evidence.
  16. Rule 28 does apply. 28. You will not make changes to messages quoted from other members posts, except for purposes of shortening the quoted post. Do not shorten any post in a way that alters the context of the original post. Do not change the formatting of the post you are quoting. Your clip changed the context of my post.
  17. One of us should apologize to the other if they are wrong, agreed? If you want me to waste my time there has to be a quid pro quo.
  18. Refrain from clipping my posts. It is against the rules. I would have replied to what you said but for this transgression. You do yourself no favours.
  19. Cops in Thailand film everything. I even see them filming illegal vendors in soi 6. Nothing to see there. I did mean to qualify my statement by comparing the hot pursuit to one in America where the gun would be pointed at your head. The evidence we do have is a foreign tourist holding a cop's gun. Good luck with the rogue cop defense. Funny how the same people who likely considered George Floyd should have just stuck his hands in the air don't think the same here.
  20. Even if we accept that's true is it somehow justification for using nazi era rhetoric to dehumanize them?
  21. The American popular opinion was anti war. Biden knew he would burn political capital as well as send the wrong signal to the rest of the world if he were to reverse Trump's order. Trump did this just out of retribution for Biden's election and wanted to reduce the chances of him having a successful first 100 days. How anyone doesn't understand that is what confuses me. The bottom line is that the US military were all aghast and dismayed by Trump's order. Reason? It was always going to be an unmitigated disaster.
  22. Which sane lawyer would not advise you to express remorse when you are caught dead to rights? A guilty plea and expression of remorse are highly valued in Thai society. as an aside, if hypothetically, a police officer had to engage in a hot pursuit, what are the chances that he would not approach you with a gun drawn? I'm going with zero, absent the cop knowing the perp and his history in a small town.
