  1. "...the passenger became responsible for the victims hospital and "compensation" money!" Nonsense.
  2. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/us-orders-mans-return-to-thailand-over-killing/Z6EHZ2PU3NZVGRZVNBJRJPO23Q/
  3. You're safe, that's never going to happen, AN re-publishes other outlets news, not it's own!
  4. I haven't seen any mention of her being arrested or apprehended. "The 57-year-old woman was arrested last week by the Royal Thai Police in Chonburi and appeared at a press conference beside Deputy National Police Commissioner Surachate Hakparn who told reporters that she was now in contact with US officials and would be extradited".
  5. Bangkok's taxis run 24 hours a day. Besides Grab, there's Bolt, Cabb, All Thai Taxis for pre-booking.
  6. I haven't seen any mention of her being arrested or apprehended. That is the point. Yes, it is the point. She was reported as being apprehended pending extradition to the US. That you claim not to have seen the report in the press is irrelevant.
  7. Nope, sure isn't. Yes, it is. If you're going to quote from a dictionary, at least read the definitions.
  8. I cannot remember buying anything online for $5,000. Max I remember was $1,000. So what?
  9. I bought it direct from Stihl's authorised distributor in Thailand as opposed to a retailer. Moreover anyone with experience can easily tell the qualitative difference between a real Stihl chainsaw and a fake. Exactly, you have not seen the item in question so you do not know whether it is fake or not! And the place from where you bought yours has no bearing on the online purchase that the OP seems to be considering.
  10. So why did you reply to an irrelevant comment. Sort of makes your comment just as irrelevant! My pointing out the irrelevancy of your prying question does not make my comment irrelevant.
  11. Maybe for you, but, so what, how does that help him? Plenty of people buy expensive items, watches, for example, through online sellers, it's not a lot.
  12. Regardless of the words used in the translation, being apprehended and held for extradition sure is being arrested. If she was not arrested she would be free to leave not be available for extradition.
  13. It is synonymous with a false statement, though, i.e a "story". You should have read the rest of the definition.
  14. Seems like an odd (and irrelevant) comment to make unless you have problems with prying.
  15. It doesn't matter what your budget is... https://www.google.com/search?q=hotels+near+university+of+the+thai+chamber+of+commerce+bangkok
  16. Because I own a Stihl made by Stihl in a Chinese factory. It is probably the cheapest chainsaw they sell in Thailand. It cost 8000 Baht. So you don't know.
  17. It does not matter anymore, because she is the one who did the "hit-a-run". It would, in fact, be a very relevant factor.
  18. Yes, that could get her off the hook if the man she hit was bladdered.
  19. Hey, take it easy with the rational comments, that won't go down well with most members on this forum.
  20. Any example of someone who's been convicted of that but got off "scot-free"?
  21. You know that how? Stihl manufactures in its China factory.
  22. Send the seller a message asking, specifically, if it is a genuine, original Stihl 5200. If they confirm, specifically, that it is and it turns out not to be the case you have all the justification that you need for a refund. Bear in mind that Stihl has it's own manufacturing site in China which may explain the price (and the one you show is, apparently, heavily discounted) for the Asian market.
  23. You conveniently forget Pratadbu. You conveniently forgot to say how you know it was caused by tap water in the centre of Udon Thani. I'm guessing that you don't know that.
