  1. Ive never used Qatar, I used to use Emirate a  lot but the service got worse and worse so stopped, Now I choose the cheapest business  class  flights and expect crap service, my only real concern is a  good lie  flat seat, all the other nonsense they promote I can do without.

One of the best service flights I ever had was SriLankan air the worst Oman Air  but  most arent that good. Used Gulf  Air a  few times, good  planes (787) good  seats best price service so so.

    Your timeline is backwards.

The Royal Decree instituting the tax exemption for LTR holders was introduced in May 2022, before the current PM was even in power. The Revenue Department order regarding overseas income was issued in September 2023.

then he should cancel  the LTR visa as it makes a  mockery of his  statement to tax  others to help the  poor

If you want to be a chancer over a few quid, up to you, as they say.......🤗

Theyre  hardly  going to arrest me and lock me up for speeding, ill chance on like 90% of Thais............I do though have another option Ive used once before.........phone a  friend, friend works in the Thai Police called him got a  ticket cancelled. When I saw the ticket later it said "paid" 100 baht so someone in the Police wrote it down as paid when really it never  was. This was for No Numberplate ona new  car stopped at a  toll booth. Driven for 6  months with no number whilst dealer dragged his feet over it.

  5. Anyone know the score on this scenario , My parents   gave me their  house over 24 years  ago to avoid the state taking it in their old  age (its now my only UK resdence), all done  by UK solicitor, they pay me rent of £1 a  year to live there.

At the time its value was £75000, its  current  value is £300000, My mother still lives there but she is  96 and at some point will die. I will then sell this  house, its value as of Jan 24 was £300000k would I need that in writing from the estate agent as a valuation dated Jan 1 -2024? and what may I be  liable for? There  will be no Capital Gains Tax on this  properyt in the UK   reading below its says "profit on the investment" but this  looks  more to me like I inherited the property? Live in Thailand permanently

The capital used to buy the investment is free of Thai tax but the amount may need to be proven via statements etc.

The profit on the investment that was earned prior to 1 January 2024 is tax free but the amount should be capable of being proven hence a statement or valuation dated 1 January 2024 will be helpful.

the RD and LTR folks do spell out basically the tax benefits too...just google "Thai LTR and taxes", there are a number of choices to read concerning what type of LTR etc and your passive income.

I  think you may have missed  my point where when introduced the Thai Pm said he knew the tax changes  would be unwelcome but it was to help the poor.............then gives the rich a tax free  visa

Hi folks, around 3 months ago I got a clutch replaced by B-quick, and recently I have this same problem of hearing swoosh sound when pressing the clutch pedal like the sound of air hydraulic & I feel the pedal is sometimes loose or hard.

They charged be 14000 Baht for a sedan and also seems to change the drive shaft seal?, master cylinder as stated in the invoice.

One of my friend said its too expensive as he got it replaced at his Nissan dealer for 7000Baht all inclusive.

Anyway, I think they do not specifiy the warranty period for clutch, may be categorized as others which the period is like 30 days?

Anyone had this sort of issue with this garage and can they be responsible for their low quality or incomplete work but passing the warranty period?

I thought they guaranteed for 1  year

We had a thread on here not that long ago about non-payment of traffic fines, and that now they were going after non payers with another fine on top for not paying. So how many have you got, how much will it add up to, including the (I think) 1000bht fine, EACH.....................🤣

ive already answered that, they arent doing this in Pranburi or Bangkok, being as thats the only places I go I cant vouch for the rest of  Thailand, however as one person commented it seems if its  not in their area they dont link up with another province ie you get a speeding ticket in Prachuapm and try to tax it  in Prachuap they "might" get you, but even then I have domne that with no problem just a few  weeks  ago. I also said I have retaxed 2 of my own and the Wifes  car and all had speeding or violating a  rule tickets recently with no problem.

They said  about 18 months  ago they were doing this and havent, also said you would get "demerit"  points on your  licence.

Next to Diamond condos, off Theppraya soi 11, there was a couple, beautiful, noisy birds.

It's been pretty quiet lately, maybe that one escaped.
