Do what every other country does when it short on labour, bring them from neighbouring countries, lord knows
no shortage of those from Laos and Cambodia just dying to come work here..
they create massive hurdles for employees and employers, its not worth the hassle for many, weve had Burmese when it was more relaxed but now its all aggravation. They should just give Burmese etc a work permit for ANY job in ANY province for ANY employer.

For me little things like being addressed by my name, small talk and the things I don't even notice like lighting and cabin air pressure all contribute to a "good" experience. They add value. So does being able to relax in a lounge before the flight
i agree its subjective, because for me none of those matter at all, all I want is the space, the other stuff is just bumfluffery.
However all those u mention could be done in economy bar lounge access but theyve even ruined that by letting in anyone with £30-60 these days

If you can avoid being reported to 'checked in' at a hotel you can save yourself the trouble of re-reporting yourself when you're home, for the immigration office that insist on it
say you had a weekend away and the hotel reported you moved there say in Phuket or whatever and you didn't report that you 'moved' back to your usual place, would this be a problem when you present the initial TM30 at immigration that might not match where they had you last in their system?
just the fact youre being tracked where you go is enough for me to try and avoid it.

Some hotels won't let you check in with just Thai driver license now, 'policy is for passport'
What exactly is required of them in order to report T.M. 30? the passport number on driving license might not be current is understandable
for hotels that is this strict about reporting I doubt pink ID card would be acceptable too, it's not like they can put you down as a Thai person checking in
1. take a Thai with you use their name
2 many small places by me 500 baht a night dont even bother, did it myself 3 months ago whilst neighbour was making a lot of noise one night, gave them cash walked in at 8pm walked out 7am no paperwork, good for them and me, stuff the state and its nosiness. Rural area.

The lie-flat feature doesn't get much use during the day.

been saying that since about 2014, very hard to find ANY workers and in the 12 years weve been hiring have only found 4 people who were actually decent, the rest are just dross, a good 85% useless, unemployable mostly because they are bone idle.

bob you obviously dont live in a gated muban as just last week you were complaining about a bum peeing on your gate. So why would a simple townhouse down a soi have a juristic person? I think your neighbor who does like like you is playing with your head.
Nah you are simply making this up as you do 99% of the stuff you post.
but does it really matter?

Was it The Arabian knights ?
Talking of TV shows anybody remember Casey Jones,
Belle Sabastian and the horses
The singing ringing tree
Pogles Wood
Champion the wonder horse
Vision On
And one more that's not been mentioned but surely not forgotten the obviously psychedelically influenced and more than a little weird 5 minute production that delighted kids every night at around 5.45pm I am of course referring to "The Magic Roundabout" Starring as far as I can remember ,amongst others "Florence, Brian ( the snail) Dylan ( a spaced out rabbit) Mr McEnery ( a hyperactive guy on a tricycle) and of course Zebedee ( a bizarre spring thing )
I think it was a french production overdubbed into english
