Japan has a paper system for the lazy / stupid / progress resistant people. It is also a backuop system should the Visit Japan system fail. The paper people are directed to lines where they can stand and wait. The evisa pax breeze through customs and immigration. In my case it took 10 minutes including the lines at HND.
The days of saying no to a mobile device are over. Consider it a requirement to travel no different than visas and passports. Within the next 5 years, flying will depend upon E boarding passes and e linked boarding gates. It is happening now. There are no longer paper airline tickets. It is an eticket. A small group of technology resistant people cannot be allowed to disrupt security and efficiency for others. These are the same people who delay boarding because they don't have a passport and boarding pass ready to present at the gate, or who demand to board early because they are old, despite paying for and sitting in zone 5.
And I am stuck behind you in the queue because your card doesn't work. My cash is still cash.🙃🙃

Try highway 340. Bangkok to Suphan Buri & well beyond. Pretty flat.
Red lights mean nothing. If the speedo goes to 220kph, then that must be attainable.
I rarely drive this section without seeing a pick-up on it's roof, generally on a gentle curve.🙃🙃

The village Matriarch died the other week, she was 96, lovely woman, so she ends up laid out inthe local Temple for 5 days as is the tradition, all the local big wigs are there every night for the prayers from the Monks and the immediate family sleep in the Temple. My Mrs says she's going to sleep over on the last 2 nights, why's that says I, she laughs and says we're having a game of "dummy rummy" and there's money to be won.
No sooner are the chairs stacked up then the cards come out, before I go home there's 3 lots of 4 playing cards and a crowd playing the Thai bingo/roulette game, I love Thailand.
Fair call. When I first observed the chair stacking & the "games" appearing I was a tad taken aback. Now after being around our village for over 12 years, it is a part of the celebration of life. Yes, a lot to like about Thailand, especially in villages.🙃🙃

The shop owners response is pathetic calls the police to take action
Then says if they return or pay for the goods he wil not take action against them
They should both be jailed and deported
A message needs to be sent out
Stealing does not pay
Shop owner would have to pay the police big money to leave their air-con building.🙃🙃🙃

That's a much better offer than honesty, loyalty and fidelity IMHO.
This is what happens after 3 or so divorces. Bad selection process?🙃🙃

I have never run into a "self appointed expert" in East Pattaya.
Maybe your holiday plans need to change from central Pattaya.🙃🙃
