  1. From what others have said on here, if you get 65K+ baht every month from US Social Security, according to Article 20.2 of the US-Thai DTA, that should not be a problem . Yes?
  2. One looming question in the case is how high into the Trump campaign’s hierarchy Hall’s reach extended — and whether the former president or Rudy Giuliani, another co-defendant who led efforts to prove that election fraud had tainted the race, ever interacted with him https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2023/09/29/judge-denies-jeffrey-clark-request-move-his-case-federal-court/ https://archive.li/9pzD0
  3. My DEC 2022 American Express billing was to WRLIFE LONDON GB And if you have a claim in excess of 150,000 pounds, good luck to you.
  4. The Association of British Insurers is the voice of the UK’s world-leading insurance and long-term savings industry. Making a complaint If you're unhappy about the way your claim has been handled or the way your insurer has treated you, you have the right to complain. If you are unhappy with your insurer's response to your formal complaint, or if they do not respond within eight weeks, you can take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Services (FOS). The FOS is an independent body which aims to settle complaints between consumers and businesses providing financial services. The FOS can only award a maximum of £150,000 and will only represent individuals – it will not represent companies. https://www.abi.org.uk/data-and-resources/tools-and-resources/making-a-complaint
  5. First Trump co-defendant pleads guilty in Georgia election case Hall agreed to serve five years of probation and, importantly for the prosecution’s case, to testify “truthfully in this case and all further proceedings.” That could affect the fortunes of those with whom he is alleged to have interacted, including pro-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell, whose own trial in the case is set to begin Oct. 23, as well as former Justice Department lawyer Jeffrey Clark. One looming question in the case is how high into the Trump campaign’s hierarchy Hall’s reach extended — and whether the former president or Rudy Giuliani, another co-defendant who led efforts to prove that election fraud had tainted the race, ever interacted with him. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2023/09/29/judge-denies-jeffrey-clark-request-move-his-case-federal-court/
  6. It seems to me, based upon reading Facebook and Google reviews, that they do deny a fair number of claims. That's because they maybe attract persons who have no prior health insurance track record and those people in particular play fast & loose in disclosing any prior medical history. Then they put in a claim in short order after beginning coverage.

  8. Thanks for the list. I rarely go to the local Lotus's big store because of geography and traffic. I was in there the other day at 8 AM opening and walking through the mall corridor, I noticed either MK or KFC had a sign at the corridor entrance saying NO DOGS -- I thought that was odd. Why would there be a dog in the corridor? But then I read here of the policy.
  9. So if dogs do not go into the Tesco/Lotus's food store, what happens to the dogs when the dog owner wants to go into the food store.
  10. I have read Article 20 of the DTA. So if 100% of the money I transfer to Thailand comes from Social Security, which is exempt from Thai tax, how do I report that on the PND 90 form? https://www.rd.go.th/fileadmin/download/english_form/030265PIT90.pdf
  11. So has anybody with a lot more knowledge and patience than I do looked at this form especially as applies to US or other country treaty-exempt social security schemes ? https://www.rd.go.th/fileadmin/download/english_form/030265PIT90.pdf
  12. Well I hope the Lotus folks properly identify which stores are pet-friendly so I can go elsewhere.
  13. This is interesting Facebook posts -- hit the x to get past the login. https://www.facebook.com/InsuranceWrlife/posts/pfbid0NngRa5qh3fbu7YPnoZpKSrrKReQ7Q7LJbmB9SsVbRE2rbcUC7ZZBUcqmLSK7dS8Sl including: #1 Insurance Wrlife They wouldn't cover me for an operation But maybe you simply did not tell the truth about your medical history. It seems that you did not have insurance before because you ignore my question : what was your previous medical insurance? If you have please send a copy to patrick<at>ag-service.org Then you make a cover. Then quite immediately you claim for a medical pre existing condition confirmed by the hospital and a second opinion team. #2 Insurance Wrlife This is not true. They cover a lot of people. But some people are lying about their medical history. They are already sick and have no insurance before.
  14. Thank you. They have already paid out well in excess of my premiums to date. Just like winning a long-shot bet at the horses. I will just note on this forum and the Medical & Health forum there regularly occur topics and replies as to how an insurer might find out about one's past medical history if I don't tell them.
  15. Well that's good because, when they deny your claim, you won't be out as much money as the money you paid into the big-time insurer when they deny your claim.

  17. Well, once again, if any or all of this goes thru, my plan would be to switch to marriage extension which my current Social Security almost covers with a top-up per month less than 150K per year 0% bracket.
  18. Once I read of what happens when you are registered in BVI I said this is getting way beyond just a simple analysis which is all that interests me. And it was some other guy that said that an individual has no enforcement rights on any treaty.
  19. Yes . I have posted that Article 20 before. That all assumes that the Thai RD honors it.
  20. I just put in a simple worst case scenario. But for me I am on a retirement extension and want to know, after my next extension whether, I should switch to marriage. No big deal.
  21. Well for a simple analysis, if you are on an exension via marriage at 40,000 baht per month that is 480,000 baht per year which would put you in the 10% bracket. So 4000 baht per month for taxes or $US 100+ per month even assuming ALL of the 40K per month is taxable. The problem for extension via retirement is that the 65K per month would likewise put you in the 20% bracket. OUCH. Hopefully at least Social Security would be exempt and you would only pay tax on the difference between your SocSec and the 65K which you could try to keep in the 5% bracket.
