No, the bank issues paper documentation routinely to every customer who asks for it (people need it if they want to reclaim the withholding tax). It is the form that friendlyfarang provided, but they routinely issue the Thai version. Now that I know that there is an English version of this form, I will ask my bank for the English version.

Not obvious at all. UOB Thailand does provide things like this in English. You don't have to tell me they are not a typical Thai bank but belong to a bank from Singapore, I know this.

A lot of the documentation of Thai banks is bilingual. Some forms are in English. Some documentation is purely in English, e.g. the short codes in the bank book like "INT" for interest. So my question is not unreasonable.

Talking about the tax withheld by the bank. (I know under which circumstances I can get it refunded but that's not the plan) The revenue office gave me an English statement of my paid taxes, but it didn't include the tax withheld by the bank. When I asked why (after all, it's tax I paid) they said they don't have anything to do with that, it's the business of the bank.

Sukhumvit Hospital is not bad. They have some good doctors working there, Dr Prin for eyes is kind of famous, Dr Umaporn (urologist) works here as well as at Bumrungrad and Bangkok Hospital, Dr Chaiyasit (orthopedics) is a very experienced clinician. Their young doctors are often very competent, too. The physical therapy department is a bit unusual, but does have good points. The hospital tends to be quite expensive, though. The nearest cheaper place is Camillian Hospital. It's good, but has definitely less specialists than Sukhumvit Hospital. And Sukhumvit Hospital is more accessible. My experiences with St Louis Hospital are a mixed bag. But it's still the place I recommend most.

Getting the yellow book was not easy, it's a long story. But doable. What I did today was register the yellow book at the same Khet to get tax exemption. Actually, the reason why I went through all the hassles to get the yellow book was the tax exemption. Once I had it, I thought my condo is now exempt from the property tax. How was I supposed to know that I still had to register the yellow book (= house registration book) at the same Khet, but another floor?

I went there today. House registration was issued on the first floor. Registration of the house registration to be exempt from property tax had to be done on the second floor. Took 20 minutes.

I just called my Khet. It's exactly the same. I have to go to the tax department in the Khet to register my house registration, which was issued by the same Khet, but another department.

I need the proof of paid withholding tax to prove it to my home country. BTW you can claim a refund up to 3 years later. But this is not what my question is about.

How to get an English document showing that I paid withholding tax on the interest of my Thai bank account? The bank gave me a statement showing interest and withholding tax, only in Thai. The revenue office said it's none of their business. ???

Did you ever take the yellow book to the district office (not land office) to get exempted from the property tax?

They (the Khet = Amphoe) are the ones who issued the yellow book - do I still have to go at the same place again and register ?

This is exactly what my juristic person says. But I don't have a bill yet, and according to Banana's post it would be better not to wait for the bill. I will find out the contact details and ask. My "City hall" (= Khet in Bangkok) is far away. It's the same place that issued my yellow house book last year, but I guess I still have to go there and register it with them.

So this is not the office of the revenue department? I live in Bangkok, no idea where to go. I will try to ask our juristic person.

The situation/ context was not clear. My first understanding was " the doctor is going to take out the blood" - wrong! The doctor did it already. How would a Thai say " the doctor is going to take out the blood"? Necessarily with จะ?

AFAIK you don't have to pay property tax on your condo if you live there yourself and have the yellow housebook. What do you do if you get a tax bill anyway? Where to go and show your yellow housebook? Or am I supposed to show the yellow housebook to the tax office (which one? The local revenue office or the regional revenue office?) before i get a tax bill?
