  1. I repeat:
  2. Yes, you can. You have to try 5 or 10 pharmacies, though. Preferably small old-fashioned ones. Not the chain's in BigC etc
  3. Then you have also 1g of paracetamol, completely unnecessary if you use it to get sleep. Better find a pharmacy that still sells tramadol, some still do it.
  4. China doesn't publish numbers anymore. That's a lot more honest than many other countries publishing numbers that have not much to do with reality, because so many people use ATK and just self-isolate for a while (some don't even do that). These people obviously don't appear in any statistics. In many countries, they are the vast majority of infected people. Having said that, of course it is possible to publish hospitalizations and deaths.
  5. Sorry, I wrote from memory. Still a low dose of tramadol.
  6. No, ultracet is paracetamol and 32.5mg tramadol (which is a low dose)
  7. VERY mixed reports indeed. I myself used them once as GP, very good. About how they handled PCR tests I was not so happy
  8. Good description of Koh Tao, Koh Lipe and to some degree, Samui. But when you continue "to take care of the tourists" - no, there are Burmese for that. Not many tourists on Koh Tao ever interact with a Thai. Certainly safer for the tourists this way.
  9. That's "certainly was" pre-covid But, yes, I trust HK tourism will recover.
  10. Tourists don't go much to Bangkok anymore, long time already. Fly directly to the beaches. In related news: Qatar airways will fly to Phuket 3 times daily (today's Bangkok Post) Phukets tourist numbers are 50% higher than pre-covid.
  11. Didn't know that Shenyang or Dongguan are tourist attractions, though...
  12. Somehow I feel Chuwit might disagree:
  13. Bangkokdrugstore isn't cheap, either. You pay for the privilege of receiving meds you wouldn't get at your local village pharmacy. When in Bangkok or another big city, I don't buy meds online.
  14. You said in your OP he "suspects" emphysema. One could agree to that (concave curve, high VC, flow metrics low normal, especially FEF25-75) but its a rather weak suspicion (low normal is still normal). Did the doctor know that you are able to swim, run etc? A follow-up in 3 months is certainly a good idea, whether at the NHS or one of the doctors Sheryl and Noodle recommended. Also ask for a DLCO test. And, yes, I would taper off the inhaler- especially as you said it had no effect at the spirometry.
  15. I second that
  16. Because they didn't get a vaccine here: Don't pretend you don't get it
  17. My Thai e-Visa was a pdf file attached to their mail. I printed this pdf file out.
  18. This isn't sarcasm, is it? You really add insult to injury. It doesn't occur to you that for many foreigners the fact that they didn't get vaccine in Thailand, led to major upheavals in their life? People left Thailand to get vaccinated and then weren't let back into Thailand, meanwhile their life in Thailand (partner, kids, house, work) unravelled. We really don't think this is funny, and do not appreciate your disdainfulness.
  19. Correct. This hasn't changed in the 2018 update (I posted the link in my last post) So as of 2018, WHO basically recommends: - 2 shots if you previously were vaccinated - 4 shots if you aren't vaccinated yet
  20. You are a bad loser, admit it. I tended to think the same as you and still can't quite believe what happened. You said in an earlier post you never experienced a shake-down. Neither did I. Police were always very correct, sometimes quite helpful. I was once frisked at Ekkamai bus station, they found nothing and that was it - that was the only time I felt uncomfortable with them. But I do know from friends that these things happen. I have no idea what I do different from other people. I rarely drive a car. I am never drunk. I look boring. I follow the law more often than not. But I have taken taxis on Sukhumvit or Ratchadaphisek at night countless times. Am I just lucky?
  21. We all know the Chinese government says that. Here is a more trustworthy source, the goverment of Taiwan: https://www.taipeitimes.com/News/front/archives/2023/02/01/2003793485 The positivity rate of travelers from China has dropped from more than 20% on Jan. 1 ... to about 2% last week What is the relevance to Thailand? When the Chinese start coming by the millions, you don't have to be afraid of them. They are no more infectious than anybody else.
  22. I posted a better translation and explained it (what she wrote contains a play on words in Chinese) but it was deleted by mod.
  23. In some countries, to record them without their prior agreement would be a criminal offence, And obviously not admissible in court.
