If you mean the Banking Apps..... I did try an emulator for Android...but only in Windows. So, then...yes....you are correct. I should take some time to try a few Android emulators using Linux, I guess. But, I guess, I was asking if anyone else might have already tried this. Android games work on an emulator in Windows. But, the emulators on Windows do not work with KBank app. Why, I do not know. (I will say again: I have NO NEED to buy a new phone just to use a newer Android OS in order to run the KBank Android banking app. There must be a better way.)

By the way, Linux Folks, as you can see from looking at the Linux Forum on TV...... Since 2021, there seems to have been very little interest in the Linux Forum here. And, I am just hoping to breathe New Life into the Linux forum on AN. I am doing my best. Because, I hope that we can drum up a LOT more interest here on this forum, FOR Linux..... This is my hope. Linux Desktop, which is just a very tiny segment of users, is still way too underappreciated. I began using Linux about 25 years ago. Then, for some stupid reason, I switched back to Windows, maybe due to a misconceived thought that I needed applications such as those provided by ADOBE, etc. So, I left Linux Desktop for about 5 years. But now, I am back, FULL BORE and FULL FORCE....and.....I will NEVER MAKE the same mistake, again. I do NOT use the DUAL_BOOT boot GRUB feature in openSUSE whereby I can have Windows installed, side-by-side, on my computers..... NO WAY! I will NEVER use Windows, ever again.... OpenSUSE Desktop is just TOO Nice, for me, now. Linux Desktop is now NICE enough. There is really no need to ever return to Windows, and I never will. Talk about NICE! HERE IS NICE! And, this is what Linux Desktop Sounds Like to me, this year, 2024.... After 25 years of Linux Desktop, there is no excuse not to use it. And, for sure, it's just going to get better, and BETTER, faster, and FASTER, in the coming years. Windows is not good for the average person. Believe me. (Also, China, IMHO, will DUMP Windows, VERY SOON......) Then, the Entire World will be off Windows..... Wait and see, Folks... (Windows OS will soon be an archaic relic of the past.....Just like the Gutenberg Printing Press.) Nobody will remember WHY we used Windows.....someday in the near future..... I am convinced of it.

Dear Folks, I would NOT want to live in a world without the love of my life, Noam. I am NOT joking. I always knew that there might come a day when Chomsky might die. But, I have been putting off his death, as best as I can, for many, many years. I hope that Noam will continue to live on, for another decades....AT LEAST. I love this guy, really..... LONG LIVE CHOMSKY! Do you love him, too? And, why? Best regards, Gamma Note: Noam spent his undergraduate, graduate, and PhD years at U. of PENN. But this is not why I love him so....

By the way, in case you want to know: I tried using a few Android emulators on Windows OS, a few months ago. These programs are basically just lousy, and are designed, I guess, for Android gamers to test games on their Windows computers. Total GARBAGE. But, I have never tested Android OS emulators on Linux. Still, I doubt they are ready for prime time, as a solid solution. Am I wrong? Or, am I demented?

By the way, just to flesh this out a bit: My new BUDGET computer (about USD1500) has more than enough RAM (64GB) and CPU power to run several vms simultaneously without any noticeable degradation in performance. So then, why not just not buy a phone, and why not just run the newest Android OS on my Linux computers? Can this be done? Probably not. But, it SHOULD be able to be done. This way, all of us can stop being slaves to companies such as Samsung and Apple, etc., etc., etc., That would be a perfect world.....IMHO.... I have no need for a fast smartphone in my life..... I only have need for a very fast desktop.... You see???????????
-
In fact: I just want to be able to run the newest Android phone apps on my Linux computers. I do NOT need any new phones. I just need an emulator that works, so that I can run everything on a virtual machine on my computers. FING new phones? I HATE THEM, actually.... I have no use for them. And, I do not like paying for what I do not need.
-
Also, if you do not know what I meant by running Android apps, such as the KBank Android internet banking app, on my Linux boxes..... Here is what I meant. But, will these work? I think not, for a banking app. Not according to my experience..... I have no need to buy a new Android phone from Samsung if I can just solve this problem by running a more advanced Android OS, more advanced than marshmallow, on my Linux computers..... Am I Crazy??????? NO. I am NOT Crazy. I just don't want to pay money to Samsung..... That is all, folks....
-
Not yet..... But, maybe soon. I still have a few years to go before dementia strikes me BIG TIME, like what has happened to Trump. Anyway, I still want to use Marshmallow to do my banking at KBank, and other banks here. Is this too much to ask?????? OR, I just want an easy-to-set-up Browser App, to be used with internet banking, same as I use with my American Express Account. Is this too much to ask? ======== And, I want some RESPECT..... Same as Rodney....

So, I have been thinking of running an Android phone app using VM ware on my Linux boxes. This way, I can get rid of the KBank Chrome app. And, I can run the Android Banking app for KBank using an Android Emulator. NOW DO YOU SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????? This is what I want. BUT....I already tried it....and.... No Work, as the Thais say. ((Everything was working FINE, until KBank stopped supporting the OS on my NOTE4.... YOU SEE????????????????????) I will NOT buy an upgrade from Samsung, yet..... And, the KBank Browser app is too difficult to set up. So, I was thinking..... Just run a higher level of the Android OS on my computer. Now do you see my quandary????? Tks.
