  1. Pray to God. Pray to Google. Same Same You will never get an answer to your prayers... Am I RIGHT?
  2. Google is God? Correct? And, we? Cogs? Hope you love your new cog status in this brave new world......
  3. NEVER, AGAIN, WILL I TRUST MY DATA TO GOOGLE. What about you? F G I say! And, you?
  4. Or... Who knows, really?... https://www.tomsguide.com/buying-guide/best-cloud-storage Anybody here know?
  5. So then... What is the best cloud storage for individual user accounts? Does anyone here know? And, for those wishing to store between 5 and 30 TBytes of data??? https://www.cloudwards.net/best-cloud-storage/ Google Drive is not actually a file backup service, .... maybe. So, then what?
  6. I thought you were going to ask yourself.... Did I remember to empty my Glow In The Dark Urine Bottle... Just because I assume you often might need one.... Before retiring every evening....
  7. Also, before considering this question... How much energy is required to store one bit of information? Have you ever considered that? I have!!!!!!! The energy required to store information is substantial. Therefore, would distributed storage of information provide a reduced energy consumption benefit? The more energy- efficient the storage, then the lower the cost to consumers...obviously. Minimizing the cost of storage of information is not a trivial pursuit.
  8. Maybe I failed to communicate, in the original topic, what I meant by distributed storage? What I meant, at least what I had thought two decades ago, was having storage be controlled by the People, and not by major corporations. Is this a bad idea? I must mean that being under the thumb of The Man is never good. Our data belongs to us... I just meant... F G
  9. Totally agree with your thought that headphones protect others, but not oneself. Everybody should have a pair of Audio-Technica headphones.... ESPECIALLY, those at Thai Temples.
  10. I don’t know about you, but I know the places which I deeply associate with this song. This is one of those songs that, if you were living at the time, you just do not forget, no matter whether or not you like it. This is a song, maybe, which just gets into your bones. So what are the memories that you associate with this song? As for me, my memories associated with this song probably could not be fully told unless my story were to be told in the lounge. I can tell you only this: a. Hong Kong b. Terrace on Roof c. Night d. Bob Seger I will not share my stories about listening to this song because I know that yours are better. However, I also know that your stories are just stories. And my stories in Asia are real. So solly. Not for me. But for you… I took The Doobie Brothers everywhere I went on my Nakamichi 550. And those were the days before Walkman. And, those were the days before you knew about Kimchi, too. Listening on..... I really feel sorry for you people that you never had a Chinese GF, ...then. So much better, really....then.... And, even now....BETTER. Just ask your Farang GF why she can't be as good as the Chinese.... She will not be able to provide you with a logical answer... Chopsticks, for one. Farang girls can't use chopsticks the right way. Anyway, the world was a FAR better place when you had a Nakamichi on a shoulder strap, with headphones, and were waltzing down the streets in Asia , at a time before the internet and the Walkman. The Nakamichi was the closest thing to a Walkman, at that time, even though very few people used them the right way...as a mobile audio player, with headphones. The Nakamichi was high quality audio, and about the best you could buy, for something that was also as portable. Somebody stole my Nakamichi in Taiwan, many years ago. Ever since, I find that putrid island to be much less than the Isla Formosa that it was mistakenly thought to be.
  11. Why do SOME people in Thailand treat their roosters like pets? I know one guy who takes his rooster almost everywhere he goes. Is this just a cultural thing? And, IF some Thai people treat their roosters like pets… Then why don’t you see them walking their roosters along the road? You might think that barking dogs are bad. And, in Thailand, I have rarely seen a dog on a leash. Is this not just one more example of inexplicable human behavior? Because, obviously, roosters in Thailand don’t seem to be having much fun. Shouldn’t the barnyard be the place for people who own pet roosters? Any thoughts?
  12. Approximately two weeks ago, one of the members of this forum criticized me for listening to music using my 10 loudspeakers in my room. They thought, mistakenly, that I did not know about the benefits of headphones. The member stated that He/She used Sony headphones. And, I can only assume that the Sony headphones he/she was using had decent separation. But, do his/her headphones have Seven Degrees of Separation?... As do mine? Also, as deaf as most of you probably are, then does it really matter? Anyway, during the past three hours, I finally found my BACKUP set of ATH headphones. I have used them only twice. Do you think that the member's Sony headphones are any better than mine, for all practical purposes? Do you even have any evidence? And then, what is wrong with my using 10 loudspeakers, sometimes? I do not get this point, either? Therefore, the question of this topic, the main question, in addition to the other more minor questions, is what phones are you using? And, do you like them? And why? And, why don't you, too, sometimes lock yourselves in your rooms, with 10 loudspeakers, and just BLAST AWAY.... As you know, this pair here is my backup set. I buy things in pairs. Sometimes I buy three or four of everything. We are not living in NYC where you can just go downstairs and buy anything you need. Thailand is not a consumer oriented country. How do I know this is true? Maybe just because, ... Lazada has not made big inroads in America, or in Key Largo, even. Are your phones better than mine? I doubt it. And why am I not surprised... I forgot to add that I have just tested these backup phones on this....
  13. As I often say... You Play You PAY! Ups to YOU! BUT, in the end... You ALWAYS pay... As Lou said.... "Night and day, day and night How the ladies pay Day and night, night and day How the ladies pay Day and night now Night and day and now How they pay now Oh, how they pay now" I LOVE WOMEN! And Women LOVE... ME!
  14. I have just one question for you... How MANY houses have you lost in proving your manhood?
  15. I apologize for adding something that I forgot to add to the original topic, but it's important... What I neglected to mention is that this song reminds me of breaking my cherry with the first GF... You see, this type of Chinese music is inspiring. And if you listen to it long enough, you can do almost anything. If you look at the words, this song speaks of STRENGTH (li liang), and so much more. I HATE to listen to this music when they force me to listen. However, when I listen of my own accord, I find this music second to none. Such wonderful music, especially when one is heading out to new pastures, and one needs INSPIRATION! (One thing that cannot be denied is that there are a few amazing talents who are singing some of this music. The CCP had the option to choose the BEST, among millions and billions.)
  16. Years ago, I said NO to looking at the female form. Now, I am happier. For one thing, I am at less risk of losing my house. And, I can still look at the mammaries sculpted by this guy: Far better to not get involved, than to lose a house or two, or even your .... Thing.... I have grown wise in my old age. I can still pleasure a woman, but I would not risk it. What about you?
  17. LISTEN...! Most Inspiring.... You can almost dream of Mao swimming the ChangJiang River.....even... I love this music. What about you? Do you have any great CCP Tunes to add? Best to you.... Comrades! Wow... ZhouEnLai is in one of these MTV productions. But, I did not see his Buick ... You know, Sometimes, If I listen intently enough, I can almost hear William Holden singing in the background. But, where is Suzy Wong?
  18. So Solly Babe... To listen to this garbage, I would need my Audio Technica headphones. But, even though I have one set PLUS a new backup set, just in case... BOTH sets have gone missing. Also, I never listen to OFFICIAL MUSIC... Unless it is the OFFICIAL CCP MUSIC, like... The EAST IS RED. (DONG FANG....HONG)
  19. POP music is absolute garbage, Man! I thought you would have understood this by now. How old are you, anyway? Sweet Sixteen?
