i have a friend, well acquaintance, here from the uk. he has been involved in the sex industry for years, had thai and filipino gfs and even married, for a while, a filipino. he has always slept with prostitutes when in relationships, and saw nothing wrong with this. however, when i asked if he would be ok with his gf/wife doing the same he replied; no way!

the authorities need to stop the songkran 'seven deadly days' nonsense and realise that every day is a deadly day on thai roads. and when they've realised this, do something about it.

if the motorcyclist had been going at a reasonable speed and/or paying attention he would have been able to stop.

I suggest look at it in a shop - if you have the opportunity.
Type a few sentences and look how you like the keyboard.
Most new notebooks have enough performance for everyday usage (except games). The quality and feel of the keyboard and mousepad makes a difference.
If you are on a budget look if you can get a 2nd hand ThinkPad. They are mostly the best you can buy.
good points, for basic users you get what you pay for, i've had HP, lenovo, acer all pretty similar, for sure check keyboard ans mousepad, and screen size and weight if that's what's important.

It appears they put a hot 🔥 candle in your ear and it apparently melts the ear wax

not a bad price, if it works. buffering does my head in so i've gone down the robust nord vpn route and mainly watch uk tv, and download other stuff from tpb. i managed to get a three year deal with nord for something like 70GBP for the three years. sorted. bargain.

For those who prefer to read rather than watch videos:
1. Thai's want/like gifts.
2. Thai's share food.
3. Thai family is number 1.
4. Thai people don't like public displays of affection.
5. Thai people are open to having relationships with others/giks.
i like gifts
i'm ok about sharing food
my family is extremely important to me
this one difficult as i'm happy snogging in public
i have been known to have a bit on the side.
am i so different from other foreigners here?

will we be able to see it from space?

a report out in the uk today, charging points have become considerably more expensive as the providers look to fleece the ev drivers, who are now, if not charging at home, paying much more per mile than petrol/diesel owners. 😏

It's TIT. the slowest speeds are always for Thai sites, i.e. ASEAN and a certain English language Thai newspaper.
totally disagree with your generalised TIT thai bash comment, i have absolutely no issues with my home or mobile internet in thailand, whatever site i'm visiting.

Every April in Thailand young men take part in a lottery to determine whether they will be forced to do military service. Pull out a red card and you are drafted for up to two years. A black card means you are exempt.
only those who haven't had the foresight to do the boy scout/cadet training thing while at school. very easy to avoid military service, no need to get involved in the lottery.

but personally I don't trust Thailand (or Thai people in general) to strictly adhere to laws in the same way Europeans do.
this criminal free paradise you refer to certainly does not extend to the whole of europe, in fact i can't think of any criminal free country in europe, though i haven't been to finland. or, is this just an excuse to thai bash, which is surprising given you seem to have chosen to live here.

There is a touch of the old Bernard Trink to your posts, its fun to read between the lines
he's far more amusing than Trink, not obsessed by the sex industry (yawn) and, importantly, he's original, he doesn't cut and paste other people's writing.

Most likely his injuries would have been less "critical" if he had followed basic safety guidelines.

unfortunately, the french never colonised thailand hence, lack of aesthetically pleasing (or any) city planning and buildings, decent bread and bakeries and decent coffee.
fortunately, near my place there is an excellent bakery owned and run by a japanese baker.

charming.
i'm pretty widely traveled and in my experience you see people who eat politely and people who don't in pretty much every country.
i often think people on this forum have limited experience of countries and cultures outside their own and thailand. traveling more widely will give you a wider perspective and understanding of different cultures and behaviours.

as your wife is thai surely she's best placed to explain about thai weddings and answer any questions you have.

not sure what rock your friend has been living under, but suggest he uses a web site called google, it's a search engine which means he can find information on pretty much any topic he/she wants.

A good business in Thailand seems to be a Brake repair shop, trouble is Thai's dont do maintenance
you assume the brakes actually failed, i would bet my house they didn't, and that the accident was due to human error.
