  1. It is almost certain that the father had undergone some weapons training in his youth. "Conscription was introduced in Thailand in 1905. According to the Constitution of the Kingdom, serving in the armed forces is a national duty of all Thai citizens. In practice, only males over the age of 21 who have not gone through reserve training are subject to conscription." If you came at me with a knife and I was armed with a gun I would happily aim to blow your balls off!
  2. I suspect that the many of tourists who frequent Khao San Road have probably sampled weed before at some point and therefore know exactly what to expect. If people are offended by the smell of cannabis then try another venue!
  3. Why was the father forced to kill his son? He could have disabled him with a shot to the leg (rarely fatal)?
  4. I agree. I haven't been back to the UK since Pre-Covid times for obvious reasons and so my return ticket back to the UK expired. I want to go back to the UK soon and was thinking of buying a one-way ticket as I am not sure how long I will stay....But, the prices are almost the same as a return ticket so I will just pay the premium for a Flexi-Return. It works out a lot cheaper!
  5. I had both done at Bumrungrad and got the results the next day. Very professional and the hospital is like a 4-5 star hotel. When I questioned them about the procedures before they started they told me that it would involve inserting a camera down my throat and into my rectum, but not to worry as I would be sedated and wouldn't feel anything....I said okay so long as you do it in that order! However, when I got the bill not only was it a pain in the @rse, but also hard to swallow!
  6. That might exacerbate the problems associated with certain foreign nationals who tend to indulge in Love Scams, Online Scams, Boiler Room Scams, Illegal Drug Dealing and who are prone to Monkey Pox...However, it seems most of them don't need extended visas as they tend to overstay anyway??? Not naming any country in particular! Hopefully not a racist comment, but purely observational! I don't care anyway because I am expecting a $1m cheque any day soon from an exiled Prince to help him move his cash and I only had to pay a $10,000 dollar transfer fee!....I have been waiting a bit longer than I expected.....I hope I gave them my correct Bank Details?
  7. It is a Swedish cider brewery! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kopparbergs_Brewery
  8. I cannot get my UK pension until I am 66 next year. I have no intention of moving back to the UK permanently in the near future, but I used to go back every year for a couple of months to visit friends and family. My problem will be that I have been registered with HMRC as non-resident for 10 years.....I still have to pay tax on any UK income which at the moment I only get from renting my house out. I think I will just have to put up with frozen pension unless I eventually return to live in the UK and change my tax status or as a previous poster said move to the Philippines and then put up with cr@p food, high rents, poor infrastructure, fat birds, cr@p internet and Typhoons! Better to live in Thailand with frozen pension than live in a Freezing cold miserable climate (most of the time in the UK) and pay a fortune on Energy Bills and everything else for that matter! Just saying!
  9. I worked in Dublin for over a year in 1989/90 The Guinness there is far superior to the rest I have tried around the world. It is so thick and creamy that it takes about 2 minutes to pull a pint which is usually done there by filling the pint glass up to about 3/4 full then letting it rest for the head to slowly go down for about 90 seconds and then topping it up very slowly. In the old days the pubs were closed after lunch and didn't open until 5:30 in the evening. If you went into the pubs at opening time there would already be about 15 pints of Guinness already 3/4 pulled waiting on the bar so that the punters could get served more quickly. I have just come back from a week in Chiang Mai and found an Irish bar in the Old City that sold Guinness....It was actually very good, but not the same as the stuff we used to get in Dublin. https://www.omalleys-thai.com/ https://www.omalleys-thai.com/drinks-menu/
  10. So do a lot of guys with Monkey Pox by all accounts!
  11. Wot The <deleted> are you talking about????
  12. Watch out.....If you have no entry or exit stamp maybe they will think you entered illegally? Crazy F**kers! I suggest you check your passport again.
  13. As usual total confusion abounds when they make changes to immigration rules. Some airlines are still giving out the TM6 cards whilst many are not. I have heard of people arriving with a filled in TM6 card (since the suspension) and the card has either not been stamped (rendering it useless) or kept by the IMO. Has anyone arrived back in Thailand since they suspended the TM6 requirement and had issues when renewing their retirement extension or other TM6 issues????? Does anyone have a "FREAKING CLUE" about this situation. Maybe One for Ubon Joe?
  14. Thanks for the great tip Mate. Sorry for the late reply, but I have been way up North for for the last few days with little or no Internet coverage. I will take a look.
  15. Did you get these done? I live on Samui and have been trying to get my leather seats refurbished on my Fortuner! I've tried many places on Samui including SD Curtain and James Modify without any luck!
  16. You forgot.... Are taxis cheap on Phuket? Would I be better off getting a Tuk-Tuk? If the girls on Bangla Road are over 6 feet tall and have big Tits could they be Ladyboys?
  17. The 500 Ninja I rented sounded just like a Bonneville, but was definitely a bit quicker and didn't leak oil! Kwicker- Kwacka! Before I passed my test when I was 17 in the UK I had a Suzuki T200 Invader (2 stroke).....Red line at 8,000 RPM......It had racing baffles and really upset the neighbours when I started it up at 7:00 in the morning to go to work!
  18. Happened to me on Samui......Took a rental bike (Kawasaki Ninja 500) for a day to test it out. The only place you can really ride at speed (relatively safely) on Samui is on a road known as "The Elephant Gate".....It has a few decent straights....Out in the jungle so only risking harm to yourself! I was just clocking 170Kph when a dog ran out of the jungle.....<deleted> all I could do.......Just missed it and only just managed to keep the bike up!.....It could have been very nasty! These days I only ride an old Airblade to 7/11....I had a Fireblade in the UK and miss the fun, but I am still alive!
  19. "Man created himself a truly avoidable pain in his rectum...." Yes.....He got married!
  20. Is it just me or has Anutin been looking more relaxed lately?
