"TINS"
Never heard of this reference.
Say you're from the UK without saying you're from the UK.

Helmets don't work if they aren't worn correctly...it'll fly off and go bouncing down the highway like your unprotected gourd.
Buckle it securely, with two fingers max between chin and strap.

This was Thai Airways - which reason was it really - unprofitable or deemed unsafe by the FAA?
If an American carrier thought it profitable, they would likely already be flying direct non-stop to Thailand.
Will Thai ever start flying to USA again on a commercial, rather than vanity, basis?
US carriers wouldn't have maintenance support by Category 1 workers in Thailand. Although you can book a US carrier to Thailand, you'll be flying on non-US metal after your connection. And those cat 2 or higher foreign alrlines can't fly to the US because they aren't considered to be safely operated/maintained.

those figures are not accurate at all, never averaged that much over my working years and I am getting way more than that chart is showing.
Correct, and SSA can use the highest 35 years of earnings. Not just the last annual salary.

I see many Thai women with butterflies, birds and feathers....most, if not all, are working in the entertainment business.
Nothing wrong with tats if you can cover them with biz casual attire. But if you get that crap on your neck, hands, and chest...you are marked for life and everyone sees it.
If your work is such that clients, work environment, etc may find this unprofessional, it's smart to not make that kind of life decision. Tourists and maybe some expats, that might possibly be destined to become an older beg-packer or cheap charlie from some crap hole country like ________________ (fill in the blank with your fav country to bash). Full sleeves, entire head (usually shaved bald, larger size gourd, bad teeth), well you are special, or especially...._____________ (fill in blank with your favorite derogatory word).
Crap, how did I digress to talking about someone with a big gourd. 55

Wondering if my dogs microchip from USA would be sufficient, actually not sure how long they last, its been in there for almost 13 years. He was a rescue dog, so actually he has two chips already.
Your dogs with microchips from the US are fine, they all work the same.
The handheld reader scans the area of chip placement and displays the number.

....Experts suspect issues with the hydraulic pumps or sling riders during the assembly process.
They're also experts at deflecting fault and refusing to accept responsibility.

Safety as the primary obsession, for anyone Thai, really??? GTFOH That's a fantasy.

You should be ok for a month or two. Like already said, if the battery is not fresh, maybe 2 years already then it may not crank over and would need a charge.

This article leaves out a lot of details, like why the German engine won't be going in a Chinese sub...LOL. Instead, some China crap engine that has never been tested in submarines, not even China subs, and has known issues that will need resolving, like diesel exhaust venting in crew areas. Thai thought the Geman engine would come through, but that fell out, then Thai navy brass said ok anyway, just give us the sub with a China engine, we just want our submarine.

Hey MAGA. You won (by the slimmest margin in 140 years) so get over it!
That's calling the kettle black.

I think you're in a tight spot, and at this point a departure probably won't get your deposits back and staying with the owner only may have issues with your immigration papers. Hope you can get it resolved.

Boats in Thailand - ferries, long tail, large, small, whatever type that carries passengers/customers are in the same league as motorbike taxis.
If you board one, you are putting your life at the mercy of the boat operator and the tour operator. If that is the only mode of transport to a location, I won't be visiting it. In more developed countries, the first thing that would happen to the person in charge of the boat and all crew members - a urine test for alcohol and drugs...and not the BS roadside quickie test but the kind that go to a lab for testing.

- everyone knows the importance of full health / Medical Insurance
Apparently not, or this person wouldn't have departed without it.
What is somewhat grinding with this story is that the hospitals know what needs to be done to give this lad a better shot at surviving but are putting that on hold while waiting for a bill to be paid -.
Hospitals are not charitable organizations - they are a for-profit business.
If people are going to argue that point - be reminded:
- In 2023 the Revenue from Medical Tourism to Thailand was 29 Billion Baht.
- Burden of unpaid medical bills estimated at 300 to 400 Million Baht - about 1% of the total revenue.
The Thai Medical industry is not hurting by any means because of people such as this guy who need urgent medical care.
That has no relevance in this case. The cheap charlie came here, didn't have shyte for insurance, and now is begging the public for help.

I am currently paying Western pricing for YouTube Premium, but next month, I plan to switch to Thai pricing. I’ll be using my Bangkok Bank Mastercard Visa Debit card, and I’ve already confirmed with Bangkok Bank that there won’t be any issues.
Your issue may be that your cards are not Visa/MC.
Alternatively, you can use TrueMoney Wallet, which allows you to top up with any local debit card. This could be a solution if your current bank cards don’t work.
How much difference in pricing of YT Premium between Western and Thai?

The shop next door to Immigration only charges 5 baht to print. You can email it and they will print it for your PP. Lots of other shops that will do the same.

Not only the one wheeled scooter. Since when did we start to go on motorbikes, bicycles and other vehicles shirtless on public roads. Have we really lost our pride, dignity and respect soo much?
It's illegal to drive in Thailand if you are shirtless.

I've never seen long immigration lines in Suvarnabhumi, either arriving or stamping out, except during early quarantine days. IME, it's always the check-in with the airline that is slow. But that experience was when I flew Qatar flying west. Going in the other direction, Korean has a lot fewer bottom feeders, and the check-in and inflight experience is better.
