Mask mandates were established way back whenever but I will use July 27, 2021 when CDC recommended fully vaccinated begin wearing masks again while indoors. At that time (27-07-2021) US saw the following covid stats:
Covid deaths: 303/day
new covid cases: 60,000/day.
On February 28, 2022 Biden announced lifting of mask mandates as did many states and the following covid stats were reported on Feb 28:
Covid deaths: 1800/day
new covid cases: 68,000/day
data source: covid data

I spoke with a airline pilot from Sing air not long ago and he told me even though he is vaccinated, if he gets infected while outside SI he will also be required to pay covid medical fees.

More like the bigger fear is that it could be interpreted exactly properly without any fudge factor.

Just noticed this, apologies for the delay in reply. I was referring to my recollection on the VE for deaths and VE for hospitalisations from the latest report I read dated 17th Feb from the UK Health Security Agencies weekly vaccine surveillance reports and I see I was near the mark.
Protection against mortality is 85% - 99%. That is after a booster 0 - 3 months, not enough data for further info yet.
Protection against hospital admission is 80% - 95%. After a booster 0 - 3 months & 75% - 85%. Data for 4 - 6 months is at 75% - 85%
Data contained page 12, table 2 (a)
This is combination statistics for all vaccines used in the UK. I absolutely accept that in Thailand this may be somewhat diminished because of the main vaccines used so far but it's impossible to put figures on that.
The report you linked to from healthdata.or is useful but has not been updated since 10th Jan, screenshot attached from the wayback machine internet archives.
Yes, but do pay attention to this notice attached in Week 7 report:

AFAIK,
No, of course not, but you asked me where I got the "gem" about the damages paid in the potential civil suit, I just schooled u on basic law whereby there are no damages awarded in an out of court settlement in a civil manner, only whats agreed to between plaintiff and Andrews. And the initial reports have indicated the following:
WHAT ARE THE TERMS OF THE SETTLEMENT?
In a joint statement filed in court, lawyers for Andrew, 61, and Giuffre, 38, did not disclose the sum of Andrew's payment, but said the prince would make a "substantial donation" to Giuffre's charity in support of victims' rights.
If the case had gone to trial and Giuffre won, Andrew could have been ordered to pay Giuffre damages. She had asked for an unspecified amount.
This is very basic rudimentary civil law process...

If this went to trial there would likely be some big names dropped thru-out the trial, and the potential for some revealing details.

She set off to get $5million and wound up getting over £12million + a formal apology.
Well done!
She don't get the money, the charity will. She potentially stands to be awarded damages only IF she prevails during a civil trial.

With 17 she had sex with men for money and we should call her victim
She was a victim of her own volition and by all accounts accepted money (payment for her services) without question and seemingly was free to leave anytime and she did when she got married in Thailand in about 2002 and contacted Epstein and Maxwell to inform she was not returning.
She was not called to offer her testimony and evidence in the recent G Maxwell case.

She claimed she was paid "extremely well" for her encounters with the Prince. It is documented in The Billionaire's Playboy Club1
1A memoir written about a young women, caught in Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking ring. Unpublished, it was submitted as evidence against Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's Madame, in 2015. These court documents have recently been unsealed by a judge and made public.

exert jurisdiction
Exactly how do the authorities (FBI in this example) "exert" jurisdiction for crimes committed outside US soil? Crimes are prosecuted by local police forces not those that "exert" jurisdiction.

Anyone know why US prosecutors declined to subpoena Giuffre in the recent Epstein-Maxwell case?

did have jurisdiction
No, not in any criminal proceedings, it was purely civil.
At no time was Andrew at risk criminally since the complaint was filed. (child sex trafficking, rape, etc)

IS courts and US law had jurisdiction.
They did not have jurisdiction for sex crimes committed outside US soil until some time in 2003 or 2004 and the congress enacted laws applied to US citizens committing sex crimes and therefore US had zero jurisdiction to prosecute Andrews. The MET police declined to prosecute prince Andrews at the time of the complaint.
US did not prosecute criminally for obvious reasons and resorted to the Gov Cuomo created CVA to pursue a case which otherwise would have been barred due to statute of limitations.

regarding sex with a trafficked minor would not have been a good look.
Who did the trafficking? It wasn't the P Andrew and proving he knew or didn't know would be a waste of time. Hence, not much chance of a criminal conviction for sex trafficking,
So what follows is a civil case filed in NY under the state's Child Victims Act for a very specific reason. Do you know why this was filed in NY in Aug 2021?

For those who drive a modern EV, it doesn’t take long to realise that the term ‘Range Anxiety’ is a product of fossil fuel thinking.
Once you switch from wondering “where is the next fuel station that I will have to find?” to automatically plugging-in when reaching one’s home or destination – it goes away. EV refuelling is so easy when 90% or more is done in the car’s downtime and you are doing your own thing.
For longer trips away from home, the growing network of DC fast-chargers makes that 10% or less of charging away from home base eminently possible, especially in jurisdictions like the UK (or Tasmania – as well as parts of mainland Australia) where the network is more mature and EV chargers are placed to allow for multiple recharging options.
In fact, even if the battery is getting too low to make it to a DC fast-charger (an unlikely scenario given the accuracy of range estimates and map systems in current EV choices), then finding a power point to do an emergency top-up is way easier (and quicker) than finding a 4 litre tin, funnel and getting to/from a petrol station.

Stay home and don't expose yourself to omicron virus in crowded public places or otherwise, especially if you meet the risk criteria for a covid infection. Why take a chance of getting infected for a pfizer booster jab that may or may not protect you. The head dude at pfizer, CEO Bourla claims his booster might provide protection and that a new vaccine customized for omicron and other variants is in the engineering phase now with expected roll-out in March or April 2022. Moderna is also modifying their vaccines specifically for omicron which may be the first clue that these "boosters" are not getting the job done.
