Time to find more effective barriers against covid transmission especially among the vaccinated. Seems delta variant is infecting & spreading despite vaccination status. Time will tell how, when natural immunity and new, better performing vaccines find a path in herd immunity.
“fully vaccinated individuals with breakthrough infections have peak viral load similar to unvaccinated cases and can efficiently transmit infection in household settings, including to fully vaccinated contacts.”

Cause of death classification explained. This should not be the case.

They should do a study on the comparative early death rates between people who can understand the CNN headline and people laughing at it, because the results are likely to be similar.

Because its misleading, intellectually obtuse rubbish.
"...this study found that COVID-19 vaccine recipients had lower non-COVID-19 mortality than did unvaccinated persons." In a similar analogy, drinking a jar of paint thinner will lower your chances of getting hit by a bus while crossing the street.
This is the kind of thing that can be both true and undermine the deteriorating credibility of the CDC .What the study perhaps is actually finding is not that the vaccine has benefits in non-Covid causes, but those who get the vaccine are more risk adverse than those who don't want it.
You can make up any statement to sell those shots because they're new enough there's no fair way to dispute the statement. ie: Vaccinated men are less likely to erectile dysfunction.

I’m not sure the MorProm app will work when arriving in other countries, you can take your vaccine certificate to department of health and they will give you an official looking vaccine passport. It will cost you 50 baht????
Yes, I think that's correct. My rep just made an appointment to get this vaccine passport book. Earliest appointment date is October 26.

Ok, i just signed up with the mor-prom app, added 13 digit 60000XXXX number, mobile No. and on 1st attempt error: "does not recognize mobile number"
2nd attempt, successful, received OTP, set up an account with a password and in the app clicked on "Vaccine Covid-19 Certificate", it shows the certificate and vaccine data. barcode etc, If you scan the barcode, it opens another MoPH site with all your details, covid test results, etc,. AND it shows your nationality, which in my case erroneously states "Thai".

"It's funny. Anti-covid vaxxers are alway accusing proponents of the vaccines of being afraid. Yet their fears of the possible consequences of being vaccinated are clearly ludicrous."
What is "funny" is the fact that those studies do not understand the principle of... long term.
The study reported findings from mid-December 2020 through June 26, 2021.
6 months. Great. We feel better.
????
They should call us back in 5 or 10 years, and then they will be able to affirm that "no serious health effects".
Until then, enjoy your "6 months" study...
Maybe I am interpreting this statement incorrectly-(The analyses compared specific health events among all COVID-19 mRNA-vaccinated people during the first 3 weeks after inoculation with health events among similar types of patients during the 3 to 6 weeks after mRNA vaccination. The total number of people evaluated was 6.2 million for the first dose of either mRNA vaccine and 5.7 million for the second dose.)
Can one infer the conclusion is based on only 3 to 6 weeks of monitoring vaccinated people for health issues during the first 6 months of a study scheduled to run for 2 years? The quote above is from the website in the posters message.
Also, this entry in the link noted as well: Federal and Kaiser Permanente researchers combing the health records of 6.2 million patients found no serious health effects that could be linked to the 2 mRNA COVID-19 vaccines"
Is this normal for someone to have access to so many health records in US, that I assumed to be private and confidential or are they available to the public, or anyone?

depends who you ask, who has and utilizes the correct data and truly knows what they are talking about.

no worries.
I drove there in the afternoon, was worried more about the protests going on to have traffic ????
No traffic at all, Bangkok is empty at the moment without Taxis (and tourists)
Parking once you get the appointment they tell you to park at TheParq (hope I spell it correct) it's the mall next to the hospital.. free parking .. there are no cars parking there at the moment because the mall is closed only some food shops open for takeaway.
Ok, thanks for the info, much obliged.

Costco was a give away … Meanwhile, half a world away in Chiang Mai, Thailand this American sits at age 74 with heart issues, successfully registered on the Thai website recommended by the US Consulate in Chiang Mai awaiting a first shot from the Pfizer donation of vaccines by the US.
Costco has locations in Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, Au, Iceland, Korea, even China, but might be closed, and a long way to go for a vaccine.

Got my Pfizer today as well at Medpark. Super well organised and 40min you in and out. No more queues or so.. I literally was shot 5min after I entered. I went in the afternoon at the time of my appointment.
How did I get there? Well.... don't give up.
1. Submitted without underlying diseases
2. Submitted again with underlying diseases and got a med certificate from a hospital for 400 THB. The 100 KG rule is still stupid but hey I don't mind they make the rules not me.
Your best shot is to get a nice medical certificate from a nice hospital and register with Medpark if you under 60 years. I would even drive 2 hours there if you got an appointment. All the rest signups never worked out for me.
A lot of discussion in front of Medpark ???? some people got only offered Astra because they didn't have that certificate etc
Hello, what time did you arrive at the MedPark Hosp? If you drove there, did traffic and parking pose any problems?
Sorry for the interrogation, I assure you I am not a lawyer.

I see there is no reply from the Op in the thread. Is is possible the 3rd injection caused a turd storm for him?
Will this pandemic ever end as the infections in the UK surge again.

“The rate of a positive COVID-19 test is substantially lower in vaccinated individuals compared to unvaccinated individuals up to the age of 29,” Public Health England’s latest report notes. “In individuals aged greater than 30, the rate of a positive COVID-19 test is higher in vaccinated individuals compared to unvaccinated.”
