After 5 months, I finally got a correct bill from CTH. Good news and I paid it immediately.

 

Unfortunately, True, which I still have, has not sent me a magazine for 3 months so I'm missing the pizza deals. Are True feeling the pinch that much?

 

I think I heard somewhere that they have knocked the magazine on the head, which is disgraceful if true.

 

I finally got my deposit back from them this week, took nearly 3 months. Still no bill from CTH though.

i don't follow Rick, are you referring to the channel guide find?

I've done my OTA upgrade, but not sure what the point is? and my HD channels don't appear to be quite as sharp as they were previously but I'm hoping it will cut out the flickering etc..

The OTA upgrade is to update the software to add more channels in the near future. Call centre advised more channels coming as we'll as stadium 7. Without upgrade you can't add anymore new channels, when they come out.

The box sounds a good option mate i remember your laptop was below spec for 365. You have spent enough on this already, so the box is the way to go I think. I still have not paid 1 Baht for CTH so long may it continue. Lol

I understand you Pat and i would be really pissed off as well. The latest mail from 365 is below. Good luck.

We will be installing new equipment in the next two weeks that will allow us to broadcast in HD for 4 of the main channels permanently. This was always the case, however it has taken us a lot longer to get all the necessary components together, and we thank you for your patience and understanding during this period.

Again this weekend's EPL coverage, as was the case last weekend, will be in SD only as we are unable to broadcast in HD due to technical issues, with the temporary equipment we have currently installed. Despite numerous attempts to switch into HD today, it is just not possible.

Also effected is the F1 coverage for this weekend's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – this would have been aired on 365 CH1 in HD, but unfortunately this is not possible. We have therefore decided to switch the content on 365 CH5 to show the Grand Prix as the Heineken Cup is on a break this month.

Additional channels and arrangements will be made throughout November to cover all of the big sporting events and we will also be in HD in the coming weeks, so the service will continue to evolve for the better.

We would like to thank you for your patience and understanding during this upgrading period.

Pat I agree with BB on this one, get them to come out and check the installation, as there is obviously something wrong with it. I live not too far from you if your Nick is correct and my system is nigh on perfect. You have nothing to lose mate and everything to gain.

Has anyone here actually been on one of the Chinese high speed trains or are you taking the information from the media? Or maybe its just the historical Western feel good factor that all Chinese made things are cheap crap. I have ridden these trains tens of times and i can assure you that they are not crap, they are well constructed and very comfortable. Yes there was a crash in the early days but are we saying that there are no train crashes in the US and europe. Google it and you will find that there have been many.

I took this picture last week when I traveled the high speed train for 5 hours and it reached a maximum speed of 304 Km's per hour. It was of course on time and did not crash as I live to tell the tale.

I applied for a Chinese Business visa in the UK and they wanted proof of health insurance. I would not waste my time trying for any type of Chinese visa in Bangkok because i suffered a similar fate to the OP. get the visa in your own Country.
