    Said it on here a few times..........wife's uncle, drunk, shot his Thai neighbour, point blank in the chest.........died in front of his wife and daughter....got five years.....had it been a farang???

    Oh dear.....I'm pretty sure I'm not a psycho and don't do drugs......but still have the urge at times. Last week even the locals complained (only to each other).......the local temple hired one of those buses (90% of it is loudspeakers) and drove it around the village at full volume from 2am to 3am.......loud was not the word.

    Yes, if they're over-subscribed they can pick and choose......very true......and then when they recruit more teachers they will be keen to accept.........a balancing act. An airline pilot once told me their medical examination requirements fluctuated with the supply and demand .....bit scary!

    Purely based on my experience and conversations with private school teachers in the UK and EU.......bums on seats is the game..... a private school is money making organisation.

    Yes indeed......... wives of farangs...........I guess they know what retribution might be wrought for a farang stupid enough to "have a go". Plus it can leave them in an awkward position if a dispute arises.

    Nearly went to teach there a few years ago.......they are the exception to the rule if there is waiting list......more kids than teachers? They will be urgently scouring the world for teachers.

    You can only visit and inspect the school and its culture if you are applying.

    Ha....no. It will just determine which set/stream they should go into......unless they are a genuine cretin or have a violent back ground private schools will take anyone.

    The couple who did the inside tiling ran away at the end of the job????.....the builder had to pay for...I would guess, 6 man days, to correct their work. We then employed another local 'builder' to tile 1000 sq ft outside.......and he was worse than the couple who ran away. Of course I was not allowed to say a word as he was a local.

    Yes...of course.....I was assuming (stupidly) that the void would be up to the edges.

    Thinking back....I have a feeling he scraped a section of the grouting out...not drilled???

    We had some fixed by the original builder, but I didn't pay much attention. I think he drilled into the grouting and then just squeezed in what I suspect was a very sloppy cement/water mixture from a washing-up liquid bottle.....worked well.

    I know how to make it rain............I set up the sofa, coffee table and TV on the patio. Press the remote for the TV .......and it starts to rain Happened every night for the last five nights.

    Can't believe all the water splashing during Songkran didn't wash the virus away.........as it was promised it would in 2020.

    They will all offer admission.....believe me.....they will take your arm off. Apply to them all, try the travel route, check their extra-curricula activities and any independent reports particularly of pastoral system.....asked to visit lessons and see what class sizes are like and spend sometime out of lesson-time to see how kids behave.
