  1. Not disputing that....but how does Thaiger know? I wonder if they would have said anything if he were known to be a work-shy waster who spent his spare time collecting tea-money?
  2. Mentioned this elsewhere.......I think the PM has asked for this to happen so he can worm out of keeping his promise.
  3. Blow the three million in Nana Plaza....then live frugally.....that's my plan as soon as I hit 70.
  4. So I get my Thai wife to book our hotels with her ID......and I get to stay at the lower price? Sweet.
  5. I similarly find it annoying.....but a language 'professional' explained to me it is unfair to view these as 'failures' in understanding. The reason being that language is highly dynamic and changes rapidly.....even more so in this day and age. Could we understand spoken English from say the 1400s?
  6. ......and at least seven RTP pointing at the bear......just avoid any confusion.
  7. Happy to see someone take the joke in good spirit......🤣
  8. Step 1......don't allow the Chinese to flood into Thailand on the back of free 90 day visas with no criminal background checks. Step 2.....Develop a professional police force that doesn't spend most of its time scamming. Sat in BKK soi 7 last night as a 'well hard' policeman in jeans and T-shirt came around collecting tea money. I know the bar owner. His bar is half the size of my kitchen. His rent is 50k/month plus 4k/month to the RTP.
  9. ....and the explanation for that?
  10. If serious then.............. 1. English will need to be taught at primary school from day one. 2. Parents will have to be 100% onboard and the driving force behind it. If not, it will be a complete waste of time and money.
  11. Is that a new Chinese law introduced into Thailand?
  12. Conversation went heavy....... then he dropped hints....... then he plain up told me.....it was surreal.
  13. Maybe they are worried he is not receiving the best of care......could that be why they want to visit?
  14. Don't want to start/hijack the thread.......but what of you are just separated? Does the wife have to be present when you renew?
  15. Had girlfriend in Nong Prue wanted to raise some capital to spend on her house. Bank manager paid a visit and offered two interest rates.....one required an act to be performed!!!!
  16. If you live in Khon Kaen I imagine you have lived in Thailand for sometime .......I would offer the right person in the RTP 10% of any funds recovered. In answer to your question.....absolutely not.
  17. Sadly yes......and one of the reasons I've seen put forward as to why attractive young Thai women are 'happy' to be in a relationship with older, financially/emotionally stable farangs.
  18. Certainly in Isaan I would say the majority of the kids are 'raised' by grandparents whilst their mothers are working elsewhere and sending money back.......heaven only knows where the fathers are?
  19. Is Bob your ex?
  20. Always go for the small English....but never up early enough for the early-bird discount....😡
  21. Basically none where there is a religion of any sort.......the single biggest crime committed on a daily basis is allowing religious schools to indoctrinate young minds.
  22. All these problems will disappear with digitisation....555
