Sri Racha....town on the way to Pattaya. Good quality condos as a lot of Japanese stay there and actually a lot less boring than Rayong.

yes i googled it .  i dont think for me i want to be away from bkk as far as possible  . i went to hua hin once and it felt like bkk energy their.  farther away maybe more relaxed vibe. im looking at chantaburi right now.   i see a resort with a pool.  30 bucks a night.

Wife drives to Chonburi, Rayong and Sri Racha for her work. These are industrial/manufacturing towns with nothing to do besides shopping malls.

Every time I go to Rayong I see a lot Farang there. They must think they are oh so special staying in Rayong, but in reality probably broke af. Why would anyone stay in such a boring place? Literally nothing to do. I stayed in only "hiso" hotel there (Holiday Inn) and got food poisoning from their dinner buffet.

sri racha i will google it .  looks like trat is a city over their as well

to be honest i like boring citys.  i go to thammarat in the south. and kind of like it. i just find a good veggie restaurant.  massage. and a gym. thats all i need to be happy.   what u think rayong or chantaburi (spelling) or i see trat is a city too.   im thinking of going overthat way in nov as i suspect less rain their than further south in surat thani area

The 60 day covid is available until November 26th. After that it is unknown.

I would not suggest it to anybody that is not in the country at this time.

i was just thinking i was stupid?  i come nov 1. i could get 60 days more on covid extension and then i didnt need to do tourist visa at all?  a tourist visa with 30 day extension is 90 days.  a free entry 30 day visa with covid extension is same .............90 days.  and with the second scenerio i could even extend the 60 day covid extension another 30 days ..........= 120 days?

Just been reading the Emirates website in preparation for my flight home in December and read this.

    Travel to Bangkok

Below restrictions are applicable for Bangkok

The ban on international flights to Thailand has been extended until 30 November 2021. Travel to Thailand is restricted to specific categories of passengers. Please check the requirements below before you travel. You may be required to take a COVID‑19 PCR test and submit additional documentation before departure. Please note all required documents must be printed.

what does this have to do with coe

i keep my funds in a USA bank that waives all atm fees for both foreign and domestic (usa) withdrawls,  in USA there is both Schwab Investments  and First Republic bank, they  reimburse the disbursing bank fees  and waive their own fees also, wells fargo bank will waive their fees but not the disbursing bank charges, various banks in other  countries offer fee reimbursement for  atm fees, both the UK and Australia have banks that refund also, it has worked for me for years with no problem

i have a wells debit card.  u are saying wells will waive the fees if i have a debit card?  wells adds a 3% fee on thier debit card.  they will waive it?

u are the man salerno . good work. im not sure if i put exemption from quarantine or 7/10 day quarantine. i think i put bangkok in this field.  but im sure embassy will understand what i want?  u are suggesting i can get into my acct and adjust this error i made?  u are saying if i put bangkok in this field they will assume im going 7 nights bkk??  all i know is people have been getting coes.  with the one night quarantine. u are suggestig that the field above picture is the thing i should have put into this box?

It's already been confirmed - flying before 7 November use COE, flying after 7 November wait until ThailandPass is live 1 November and use that.

thanks salerno .  so if i submitted my pre approval on monday morning ,  and i fly on nov 4 they will probably follow thru with me to allow me to use the coe.  as they know if i fly on nov 4 i wont have time to do the travel pass.  so what u are implying is that for a few people the coe process will still be open after nov 1 for a few days  ,  ONLY FOR THOSE  people who have already submitted for preapproval for arrival before nov 7  .  only makes sense

  9. reading some of the comments. this could be cause london has an embassy not as efficient as others?  im flying nov 4,  and about two days ago i asked chicago embassy if i should wait for thailand pass and they responded to apply for coe.  my gut says that coe and thailand pass might coexist for a few days.   i mean they will probably follow thru with pre approved coes.  ?  only makes sense.  if not on about nov 1 until about nov 7 . nobody gonna show up in thailand. i submitted my coe application yester day and i hope it will be preapproved by tomorrow and if i get my final docs in right then i will have that coe by nov 1 .  i still think in my case if im preapproved before nov 1 . they will finish out my process.  i dont think i can apply for thailand pass on nov 1 and get the ok to fly on nov 4?

thanks its odd only 5 sha plus hotels in all of bkk.  i think my obsession with my preference with a sha plus hotel over a aq hotel might be a mistake for me.   maybe i will drop it and just go for aq hotel.  i dont know why i cant search for one on agoda

  11. is their any real difference between the sha plus hotel and the aq hotel?  i wonder if both will be set up to do the pcr test.?  i dont see any sha plus hotels offering one night packages.  only a few aq hotels.  maybe many more will be online tomorrow.  what site has them all to choose from . would be nice if i could just go to agoda and shop for one

You book a 1 night package that includes all of the things you ask.

i was kinda hoping to stay at a sha plus hotel.   i wonder if over the next days they will have some one night packages available.?  i wonder if the sha plus hotels are similar to aq hotels? can sha plus hotels do pcr testing just like the aq hotels?  whats the cheapest one u have seen so far.

  13. 5 hours ago, Dan O said:

That's not correct. AQ and SH + hotels are were putting up the new packages yesterday. More hotels to follow. Same with insurance. Pickup at the airport and testing is included in the new packages just like the older packages.

I booked insurance and hotels yesterday morning under the new plan.

is thier a site to look at them on internet.  ive been looking at one sha plus hotel. i would like to stay at.  bottom line is for overpriced transfer and test.  and probably room .  most will only stay one night i was gonna stay a few nights but not now as the prices are high, so people will want out fast

You already have all the current information.  Everyone here is waiting for more "official" information, so no one here can answer your questions..  Even the Thailand Pass website has nothing.

its been suggested to me to postpone and not try to come in on the first week of nov.  none of the hotels have information on how to proceed.  i mean how to get to hotel. where the test will be given and paid for.  seems this is more complicated than we think u cant just reserve a room ,  you need other items too. like transfer and pcr

That could easily have been accomodated within COE.just as COEs have adapted over timw to different required quarantine lengths.

Only reason for new site/name IMO is rebranding.

Aside from being silly (a rose by any other name..etc),  creation of a new website and attendant processes is sure to mean weeks if not a month or more  of glitches until they get the kinks ironed out.

so if im flying into bkk on nov 6 i should try to get the coe now?  i will have to eat the price of the additional not needed covid insurance and hopefully the hotel will refund me back 6 nights of rent.  and what about the second pcr test that is not required anymore?  i see the flights will be empty the first week of nov. as people are confused and cant get access to the travel pass site.  and beyond that,  sha hotels are not set up yet for doing the pcr test at hotel or the transfer from airport. i need answers or i will postpone .

  16. ok i arrive nov 4.  do i have enuf time to get the thailand pass.  has any one studyed the thailand pass.  maybe its just a computer program and if you fill in the fields correctly it pops out  green  light . and i get the pass?   makes no sense if one is arriving on nov 2, 3 , 4,  5,  6 , ,7.............that they have not the time to get the thailand pass so their will be no arrivals on nov 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7?
