Says in the article, "most prominent values being respect, self-control, and a non-confrontational attitude"!

Lol!! Are they talking about a different country or race in the article??

so why didnt the girl walk away as thais dont like confrontation?..seems theres more to this...did she make him an offer?..she cant scream with tons of thai males around?...someone had to call the cops instead of asking a fellow thai for help...seems there is more to it.....and the latter of the quote..try finding thai cops on any other day sprint--or even show up after dark unless doing a dwi checkpoint to bribe cash..

and they just let a drunk man walk away to commit same offense....sounds like a ST proposition gone wrong in my 15 yrs exp in LOS

    What Thais don't like confrontation???

News to me. My ex-wife was determined to have a fight or argument every day with someone, be it me, supervisor at work, her young daughter, work colleagues. Her temper could flare in an instant and it knew no bounds in terms of ferocity or violence.. she's an utter fruitcake..

(Footnote: Unsurprisingly, her daughter pre-teen is now following in the same mould of short fused temper and melodrama persona, and she's not even reached her teen years)!

Pattaya — “Pattaya has already become a world-class destination and is poised for leaping growth in the next five years,” says Thai real estate industry leaders speaking at a seminar hosted by the Chonburi Real Estate Association.

The seminar, themed “Real Estate…Factors-Opportunities-Hopes of the Thai Economy,” was hosted recently, focusing on Pattaya’s growing appeal to both domestic and international tourists. The seminar saw the presence of numerous real estate leaders in Thailand, including Mr. Chanin Vanichwong, CEO of Habitat Group, who pointed out that “Pattaya is no longer just a domestic, budget nightlife destination, but it has already become a world-class destination.”

For example, Mr. Chanin said many major Thai corporations have invested in Pattaya such as the Land & House Group that brought to the city projects like Terminal 21 Pattaya, and the Asset World Corporation that is expanding its hotel portfolio into the city. Central Group is also investing in a community mall project, and Magnolia Quality Development Corporation is undertaking a large-scale mix-use development.

Mr. Chanin further revealed that Habitat Group itself has been a key player in Pattaya’s growth. He explained that ten to twenty years ago, Pattaya was just a nightlife destination, surrounded by industrial estates but now the landscape has changed.

This transformation is evident in the rise of high-end tourism around the city. Areas like Na Jomtien now houses several hotels that are more than 20,000 baht per night, while the Wongamat area features condominiums valued at over 300,000 baht per square meter.

On March 7th, 2024, Mr. Chai Watcharong, the Thai Government spokesman, publicly stated details after a speech on The Amazing Thailand Networking Event with the Prime Minister of Thailand, Srettha Thavisin, to present tourism industry policies in Berlin, Germany.

According to Chai, Srettha exchanged opinions on the world stage regarding the potential for investment in Thailand, especially in the Thai tourism industry. The Thai government aimed to generate income from tourism in 2024 at an estimated 90 billion euros and anticipated more than 8.5 million tourists from the European region.

Furthermore, the Thai government gave importance to the overall tourism industry which not only stimulated economic growth but also increased employment rates for Thai locals, remarked Chai. The Thai government planned to enhance and support the Thai tourism industry through various measures.

Visa exemption policies in various countries including India, Russia, Taiwan, and other countries, and the recent permanent visa exemption in China, would facilitate and make foreign tourists travel with ease, said Chai.

    8.5 million tourists.

Does that include counting Soviets as Europeans?

8.5 million!! That's good revenue for the airlines with their inflated fares to BKK and PKT these days.

    Its never been this expensive

Blatant collusion between airlines happening to inflate air fares at yes the peak time of the year. (Recovering pandemic losses, oh yeah of course 🔔🔔)!!  Why don't the family visit in Europe's school holidays? Weather's okay and flights are a lot cheaper, (circa £400 each on a direct flight route).
