  1. Nonsense wallet. Like average Russians have bitcoin wallets. Poor Vladimir is in a world of trouble. He will either put a bullet in his head or someone close to him will. Good to see Aseannow has child killer apologists posting.
  2. Can you do the Thailand Pass, enter Thailand on a 30 day visa exemption stamp and then extend for a further 30 days at Jomtein immigration as was the case precovid? Thanks.
  3. Why would you need to go back to work in the UK if you returned then?
  4. This is exactly what I mean. So many here have burned bridges, no plan B and hope that it all works out. It's all a joke until it isn't. Rising inflation, strengtening baht, frozen UK state pension and a never ending cycle of cheaper places to rent as your savings are eroded. You don't decide how long you live unless you jump off a balcony. Best of luck to you, your going to need it.
  5. Stay in Thailand. You wouldn't know what freedom looks like here in the UK. Give me four seasons, a fresh breeze on my face any day of the week over the oppressive heat and humidity in Thailand. "Get stuck in the UK". You mean you couldn't afford to come back permanently? Let's see how Thailand works out for you when you can't get insurance over 70. Enjoy mucking out the buffaloes and i'll make a donation to your Go Fund Me page to get you a flight back to the UK.
  6. And a Test-Wait-Maybe-Go-Hospital regime, with a possible hospital bill thrown in as well? You forgot that bit. You where never a details guy. Nobodies whingeing. Thailand is destroying it's own economy. Some of us are sitting in developed countries with no restrictions. We will come and spend our money when it suits us. We'll leave you to keep wearing masks outside and being tucked up in bed by 11pm. That's assuming the local governor has allowed the local restaurant to sell alcohol in Nakhon Nowhere. LOL.
  7. The vast majority of spread is community spread within Thailand. Foreigners arriving testing positive is an irrelevant decimal point. Most developed countries worked that out months ago. Why people don't understand this is beyond me. Attempting to stop people earning a living by closing borders when they are more likely to catch it from their children, is a little illogical to me.
  8. That would involve common sense and losing face. The fact that they have reduced insurance down to 20,000 dollars shows how serious they really think the disease is. Yesterday i thought Thailand Pass and the testing regime was here to stay. Gladly, this morning i think that may not be the case from Q3. Things like the UK binning all restrictions won't have done any harm either. Seems like a strange coincidence but it seems Thailand is beginning to wake up and smell the roses. At last.
  9. Thought it said "after a cabaret meeting". Thailand, the only country that could turn omicron into a crisis. While the rest of the world opens up, pinky and perky bin learning to live with covid and press the panic button (again).
  10. No, you booked a plane at 24 hour notice. Arrived at BKK, stood in a queue for 30 mins and got a tourist exemption stamp on your passport for 30 days. It's nothing like this obstacle course. Don't take my word for it, 99% of people think the same, hence pretty close to zero real tourists.
  11. The UK PM has just raised our covid level to the ground. No more government self isolation mandates and no more free testing, It's official, it's time to move on and live with this virus. Yet there are various posters who think Thailand are doing a great job with covid. It's a hokey cokey of levels up and down, 1 test then 2 tests, then live with the virus, then local governors trying to out do themselves with closing all the local schools. Headless chickens would be too kind.
  12. The new Test-Wait-Maybe-Go-Hospital-With-2-Rolls-Of-The-Dice program is a disaster anyway. They make it sound they are doing people a favour. UK will be pronouncing covid endemic this afternoon, meanwhile this bunch ... shut schools and rob children of even the barest of educations and line the local village money lenders pockets.
  13. Sir John Bell, of Oxford University, is on radio 4's World At One as i type. He has just said the vaccine's are bad at stopping transmission but good at stopping serious illness. Hopefully in a few years we will have sterilising vaccines. He also has just said that mask wearing has marginal benefits.
  14. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/covid-infection-risk-raised-back-to-level-4-in-thailand Hastle and risk free travel to Thailand is going to be a long way away. Even then they are likely to make knee jerk and hysterical decisions depending on which way the wind blows.
  15. Typically you don't acknowledge the effect the developed worlds booster campaign has had. https://www.england.nhs.uk/2021/12/more-than-three-quarters-of-eligible-adults-boosted-by-new-years-eve/ You don't like facts. Thailand is a backward basket case when it comes to it's covid response. Schools closed and local governors panicking at the first signs of increased infections. Infection risk raised to level 4. https://www.thaipbsworld.com/covid-infection-risk-raised-back-to-level-4-in-thailand The UK officially makes Covid endemic today. I am interested in Thailand and the UK. Red herrings like Africa are of no interest.
  16. Thailand has 26% of it's population boosted, UK has nearly 70%. I think you might find that's why the UK has cases and hospitalisations going down and Thailand has them going up. https://www.bmj.com/content/375/bmj.n3079 The UK made a huge effort on boosters, Thailand didn't.
  17. You spent the whole of yesterday defending him on another thread. For someone who allegedly is pretending they don't have skin in the game your coming across as a little obsessed about defending a country's leader with the worst wealth inequality in the world. Does that not ring any alarm bells with you?
  18. What's wrong with you? How can you defend this circus? https://www.aseantoday.com/2019/01/thailands-wealth-inequality-is-the-highest-in-the-world-what-does-this-mean-for-upcoming-elections/ Your like some demented PR agency trying to defend the indefensible. I've heard of some people going native but you take it to a new level. Your honourary Thai citizenship is in the post. Congratulations.
  19. The articles all explain how the figures can be twisted. You just quoted from them above. You lose. Again. You add nothing but stir plenty. You can be quaranteed to add zero to any debate, let alone one that doesn't concern you.
  20. https://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/19934059.covid-scotland-cases-cited-us-senate-claims-vaccines-not-working/ You just lost.
  21. https://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/19934059.covid-scotland-cases-cited-us-senate-claims-vaccines-not-working/ You and your chums look to have been caught out again with misrepresenting facts. Don't forget i couldn't care less if you get vaccinated or not, i do care if you take up a bed for someone who could have used it but for your selfishness.
