  1. This sums it all up ... Makes no sense.
If there were no clients then why is Ghislane Maxwell sitting in jail for?
I can't believe Epstein killed himself right before he was about to be acquitted due to a complete lack of evidence

    Why that?

    Proved in many other countries.

And.......it will weaken the MAGA movement.

I notice you did not quote my entire post (I did elaborate)
    1) this not not about the political systems in other countries
    2) the US system is winner take all
    2) whichever main party (GOP/DEM) is more fractured by a 3rd party will lose the election

    3) it is highly unlikely that an America Party will win an election

IMHO, Elon will lose, the GOP will lose and the party Elon campaigned against will win.

This is what I meant by a 3rd party will not work.

they said horseless carriages would never replace horses. It is necessary for a true democracy

G'day, Chief Bird Head. What makes you think analogies are a form of argument?  What are you smoking in your peace pipe?

They said the light bulb would never replace lanterns and candles

They said the internet would never replace newspapers
They said EVs would never replace ICE vehicles

Herp Derp, a 3rd party is necessary for "true democracy"

  4. 3rd parties have never worked - if a 3rd party is created it is highly unlikely to garner support across the political spectrum.  Lets say Elon starts his America Party, it won't get much support from the Democrats (they don't like him) and likely split the Republican voter base guaranteeing a Democrat victory in the elections.

Better to work within the system and take influence/control of either existing party starting at the grass roots level.

I'm not a constitutional scholar so it's difficult for me to weigh in on whether or not the 17th Amendment still makes sense in this day and age, but it was the only amendment that was added after the Constitution was written.

You're joking right, or not an American?
Surely you should know at least the first two amendments?
    1st Amendment - Free Speech
2nd Amendment - Right to bear arms

The 17th is called the 17th for a reason, 16 amendments came before it, all after the constitution was written. :giggle:

The SIL is an assistant branch manager at a large Krungthai bank branch, and although not directly involved with anti-money laundering, she has been well aware of the issues Thai banks have been facing for some time. According to her, it's the Bank of Thailand that is instructing the banks to review their policies particularly in regard to opening new accounts and the checks they make.

Yeah, contrary to the narrative that this is all aimed at expats trying to get new accounts using agents, it is a much bigger picture when viewed from 40,000 feet.  This type of policy change could spread to other banks too.  Hopefully they can figure out and adjust policy to make it more workable for expats caught-up in the fray.

There is a lot of shady things going on especially in the border towns from my wifes telling of her visits to the branches there.

Edited to add: it not only the Thai Central Bank but AMLO (Anti-Money Laundering organization) that is involved in regulatory enforcement, They have at least semi-annual meetings at which all the banks attend.

As Minnesota begins to process the violence and mourn the loss of a respected former lawmaker, questions remain about Boelter’s motives and how he was able to carry out such calculated attacks.

If one assumes he is innocent, then why did he run?
If one assumes he is guilty. then I'm surprised he didn't shoot himself - at 57 he will likely die in prison.

Will have to wait until more details are revealed :coffee1:

Google’s latest leap in artificial intelligence has sparked awe, admiration, and alarm. The tech giant’s new video generator, Veo 3, is producing clips so realistic that many viewers online cannot tell them apart from content made by actual filmmakers and human actors. The realism is so striking that it’s unsettling audiences and reigniting debates about what it means for art, authorship, and the future of film.

There is probably much more to worry about then the film Industry, AI news reports, AI viral videos, faked this and that for all manner of nefarious reasons. Pandoras Box

Prince Harry has appeared in court to argue that he was unfairly treated when his automatic taxpayer-funded police protection was withdrawn following his decision to step back from royal duties.

Let me see if I got this straight, Harry quits his day job, marries the Princess Meghan, moves to California - then complains he doesn't get job benefits anymore.  :giggle:

  11. Starmer pledges to ban Ninja swords by the summer, taking bold action.

    I have doubts! :jap:

If Ninja swords are the problem, does it not stand to reason that Japan would
have more stabbings than the UK?

Me thinks it is not a Ninja sword problem.
    It's the Ninjas.

    What are your thoughts?

Couldn't the story have had a fisherman getting bitten by a shark while nudging the reader to buy extensive medical insurance coverage?
