  1. I guess better to go to CW then. Better safe than sorry. Thank you all for your help
  2. Unfortunately I'm already past the 7 day period, that's why I'm not sure if should even bother with the trip to CW
  3. Update from my side: The second attempt got rejected again The question now is, should I ignore the "Please contact the nearest Immigration Office in person immediately." instruction and then potentially pay a fine next time I go to CW for a visa extension?
  4. Yes I have used the autofill function and I have also adjusted both the date for the last entry and my new visa expiration date. The address and other details are all the same as I have used in a previous report which was accepted. I'll try to submit the application again anyway to see what happens
  5. It has been around 90 days since I entered Thailand the last time and I tried to do the 90 day report online, which I have done successfully in the past. Two days later I got a rejection email stating: I have also extended my marriage visa recently for another year at Chaeng Watthana. Does that visa extension count as a 90 day report? Could that be the reason why my online report got rejected? When I did the visa extension they didn't give me any receipt stating that the 90 day report has been done. What should I make of the "Please contact the nearest Immigration Office in person immediately." part? Is that just a standard thing they put in rejection emails? I would cost me half a day to go Chaeng Watthana and I'd rather avoid that if it's not necessary. Cheers
  6. I had a Xiaomi Air Purifier 2S for a couple of years now and no issues. I have tried a few other brands and I would definitely recommend Xiaomi Air Purifiers. Pros: Very affordable compared to most other brands Very effective filtration (verified with Laser Egg Air Quality meter) Silent operation on low-medium levels, but still effective Filter seems to last long (1 year for me in Bangkok, YMMV) Wifi connection, can be controlled via app Elegant design that blends in with most types of furniture Small footprint, doesn't use up much space Relatively precise built-in PM2.5 sensor (verified with Laser Egg) Cons: Filters are a bit more expensive than some other brands (it's still one of the cheapest air purifiers to operate) Auto mode is useless because what it deems acceptable AQI is way too high (it's a shame because the built-in PM2.5 sensor is precise) The 3/3H model has a bit of an annoying high pitched sound at high levels, no issues with my 4 Lite and 4 Pro model though Wish the app had a few more functions and Apple HomeKit integration Other brands I have tried: - Sharp (can't remember which model): Weaker performance, pricier, annoying negative ion generator - Smart Air Sqair: Weak performance except on the highest level (loud!), takes up more space, no PM2.5 sensor, no wifi connectivity PS: I would recommend always buying the international version of Xiaomi devices to avoid any app compatibility issues
  7. I have a three year old car and it has accumulated a few scuffs and scratches here and there: - Curb rash on one of the rims - Small scratches on the side mirrors - Delaminated spot on the leather seat (thanks to a careless detailer) - Other small scratches inside and outside Do you know if there's a car repair shop that can do this kind of reconditioning work in Bangkok? Many thanks
  8. Oh I must've misheard then. I got a stamp in my passport saying "Applicant must contact again in person: 16th December". I guess that's the date when I have to go for the second visit? Thank you all by the way for the answers/insights
  9. Apologies if this has been discussed before. There are a lot of reports here about the first visits (when the documents are submitted) but I struggle to find anything about the second visit. I recently went to Chaeng Watthana to do the 1 year visa extension (Non-immigrant O visa based on marriage). My papers got accepted without an issue. I have a couple of questions regarding that second visit: 1. I was told to come back on the December 12th to get the visa. Is it okay if I go one day later? I want to use the new appointment system (it went well when I used it for the first visit) but there are no more time slots left on the 12th. 2. What documents do I need to bring for the second visit, if any? 3. Is there any chance the visa extension could be rejected? Have there been any reports of that happening? Cheers
  10. Update: I went to CW yesterday and the visa extension went without a hitch. The IO accepted the selfies. She didn't look too happy with the photo in the living room (the room was barely visible in the background) but she accepted it anyway. Anyway, next year I'm getting a tripod just to be on the safe side. Thanks everyone for the advise here ????
  11. Hmm makes me think I should get at least a few photos that aren't selfies. Need to get a tripod though. I don't really know any of the neighbors around me.
  12. (Apologies if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find any information regarding the photo requirement for Chaeng Watthana) I'm about to go get 1 year visa extension for my non-immigrant O visa based on marriage. I have printed out the following photos (one photo per 1 A4 sheet): Selfie of me and my wife standing in our bedroom Selfie of me and my wife standing in our living room Selfie of me and my wife standing in front of our condo door with the room number visible Selfie of me and my wife standing in front of the sign that has the name of our condo building on it (I couldn't find the house number) Are these going to be sufficient? I've heard about some immigration offices not liking selfies. Last year when I did my visa extension all but one picture (the outside condo picture) where selfies as well.
  13. My 1 year extension for my Non-O marriage visa is due and I'm currently preparing my documents. My wife has changed her family name this year and I was wondering we need to update our marriage certificate? If yes, do we need to go the the Amphur where we got our marriage registered or is it possible to go to any Amphur? Last year when I did the 1 year extension, I had to get an updated Kor Ror 2 (which I also have to do now) and we were able to get it at a random Amphur in Bangkok. Thank you
  14. I thought that "Family member of a Thai residence" (sic) would cover it? Quote from their information page:
  15. Has anyone tried the brand new E-Extension service yet? http://thaiextension.vfsevisa.com/ My 1 year extension for my Non-O marriage visa is due and I was thinking of giving it a shot. It sucks that I still have a to go to Chaeng Watthana but it sounds like it's much quicker than the usual visa extension trip:
  16. No I didn't but I had a test about half a year before the test at Bumrungrad which showed slightly better, but still poor morphology.
  17. I have used the old entry date when I moved to Thailand around 1 year ago. I came back to Thailand last week after a short trip abroad. I guess that means I need to wait until the end of January to do the next report. Do you know if I will get a reminder email then? In other words, does their system know that I have been outside of the country?
  18. Apologies for resurrecting my old thread but I have an update to my story, which might give other men hope if they find themselves in a similar situation: After I got the diagnosis at Bumrungrad I went on a research spree on the internet to see what can be done to improve sperm quality and I started doing the following: - Started taking FertilAid supplements (FertilAid + MobilityBoost + CountBoost) - Started also taking multivitamins, fish oil, zinc, vitamin D and Co-Q10 - Stopped taking long hot showers - Started wearing loose fitting underwear - Started exercising more After 3-4 months I went to do a semen analysis again (this time at Jetanin) and when I went to sit down with the doctor to discuss the results he basically said "why did you come to do the test? All your test results are excellent". Once I showed him my old test results he almost couldn't believe the difference and he said "what ever you are doing, keep doing it."
  19. On the Thai immigration website it says: Does that indeed mean what I think it does? If I leave Thailand and then re-enter (for example for a short vacation outside of Thailand), does the 90 day clock reset? I have done successful online reports in the past and I recently received the [TM47] Notification for alien before the next appointment email reminder. I have then tried to do the online reporting but my application got rejected. Could that be because I recently went on a trip abroad and my report is not due yet?
  20. Good point. That might explain it. The doctor was an older gentleman and he might not have the latest info. I still didn't like the sales pitch we got from a nurse afterwards. I felt like buying a used car rather than getting healthcare.
  21. Yeah I'm well aware that it's expensive everywhere and I have no problem paying for it. What I didn't appreciate though from Bumrungrad that they weren't even considering other options before reaching immediately for the top shelf whiskey. They said that IVF is all that's left for me to do which is demonstrably not true. My bad though for assuming a for profit hospital would have at least some integrity.
  22. Me and my wife are having trouble to conceive (have been trying for almost two years). We went to Bumrungrad for a check up and it turns out my sperm quality isn't good (sperm count very good, motility mediocre, morphology at 0%). It was quite a shocker since I'm in my early 40s. The doctor there said there's nothing I can do and he recommends we do IVF, which of course costs a fortune especially at Bumrungrad. We were then lead to the office of a nurse who gave us their sales pitch on IVF (a used car salesman got nothing on that lady...). That left a bad taste in my mouth and it became clear to me what a money hungry business Bumrungrad is. At home I did more research and it turns out there is plenty I can do to improve the quality of my sperm (loose fitting underwear, no hot showers, supplements, etc). Varicocele (varicose veins in the scrotum) could also be a cause which of course the good doctor at Bumrungrad either didn't know about or he didn't bother to mention in interest of pushing IVF. Long story short: Does anyone know a trustworthy male fertility specialist in Bangkok I could go to next to take a gander at my jewels?
  23. Do you know what interest rates I could expect?
