  1. Your apology is accepted.
  2. What is it with you maga-**** and facts? Google it if you can, alternatively ask someone to help you.. As I said before, anyone can fact-check anything I write. Maybe you should try that instead of throwing lazy insults at everyone..?
  3. Anyone reading this can fact check it themselves.
  4. So, now that you've lost the discussion, you turn to petty insults and abuse.. I have no time for a depraved russian troll.. Go join putins murderers and rapists in the trenches of occupied Ukraine...
  5. What are you even talking about? The point of this discussion, that you interfered in, is about how Putins invasion of Ukraine caused oil prices to spike.. Even more nonsensically, you assume that I am "lost in my beliefs that the US are the good guys" I have never said that. So maybe you should calm down, and stop making up your own 'facts'.. The US are guilty of plenty of bad things over the years, Vietnam, South America, Iraq.. But not Putins genocide in Ukraine, even though russian propaganda tries to pin that too on the US... If you are truly German, then you should stop being an apologist for Putins crimes and aggression, and instead start worrying about European values, security, freedom and independence which are under severe threat from Putins Russia.
  6. So you seriously claim that the oil prices going above a 100 after russias invasion of Ukraine was because of Germany cancelling their coal and nuclear plants?
  7. These are facts that you can check for yourself, you absolute tool..
  8. The point of this discussion is about how Putins invasion of Ukraine caused oil prices to spike. Which they did, going over $100 a barrel after the invasion. My comments about russia driving up energy prices before the invasion, though a only side note, are also true since the price of gas went up from less than €15 per megawatt-hour (MWh) in January 2021 to a year-end record of €180/MWh. Gazprom was the seller of this gas, thus they decided how much to charge for it.. Everything else are technicalities, and irrelevant for the point of this discussion..
  9. From October to December 2021, Gazprom sent 24 percent less gas to the EU than in the same period in 2020. The uncertainty ahead of winter caused never-before-seen price spikes on EU gas trading markets, going from less than €15 per megawatt-hour (MWh) in January to a year-end record of €180/MWh. February 24 2022: Russia launches a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, exceeds $100 a barrel for the first time since 2014.
  10. Trump, frequenting Epsteins pedo-parties and 'secret island', and dating his own daughter... but yeah, sure, blame Biden, as is modus operandi for the maga-nuts...
  11. Why? Explain yourself, if you can...
  12. Well, that's probably why he's still alive and kicking...
  13. You have some very strange ideas.. Every single president in the modern age, including Trump, has sold and sent weapons abroad, that were then used in wars and conflicts. Following your logic, Trump is thus a warmonger like every other president. The US, and the entire western world, helping Ukraine fight and stop the genocidal russian invaders, who also happen to be America and NATOs no. 1 enemy, is not only a moral obligation (obviously lost on you), but also vital for the defense of NATOS borders. You are beyond naive if you think that simply handing Ukraine to Putin on a silver platter, like Trump wants to do, is magically gonna stop Russias aggression. Next step will be Moldova, where Putin already have placed soldiers, then perhaps the Baltics? Romania? Poland? And that's WW3..
  14. Frank. As all oil companies will sell their products to the highest bidder, no matter where, US oil/petrol prices follow the world market. Even before his planned invasion of Ukraine, Putin started limiting the supply of oil and gas to Europe, and when it became a full scale invasion, oil prices, as we know, skyrocketed worldwide. The West eventually managed to stabilise the market, very much due to the US ramping up oil production to record levels, and the Biden admin cleverly selling SPR-oil when prices were high, and then repurchasing when prices were low. Prices, though stabilised, have yet to come down to pre-war levels, because of the still ongoing Ukraine war and sanctions against russia, as well as the current renewed violence in the middle east..
  15. Your wife is absolutely right. Anyone rich and powerful can largely act with impunity here, unless they go up against, or are viewed as a threat by, someone even more rich and powerful, of course. Which is why Thaksin had to flee the country...
  16. I wonder what's up with all the hate against Thaksin in this forum? He's no better or worse than any other ultra-rich person in Thailand (all of whom have been up to things that would lead to a defamation lawsuit against anyone bold enough to point it out..) Controversial he is, but to his defence, at least he was a prime minister lawfully elected by a majority of the people, ousted by a military junta guilty of far worse than him...
  17. Okay, bar is closed, go home now..
  18. Ridiculous.. Biden hasn't started any wars either. Biden had to deal with covid too, and all its consequences. Putin invaded Ukraine, not Biden...
  19. You must be living inside a rightwing alternative-reality bubble.. no wars? Middle East peace? Heard about Afghanistan? Heard about Syria? Heard about Yemen..? Strong American economy? Under trump the economy lost 2.9 million jobs. The unemployment rate increased to 6.3%. The number of people lacking health insurance rose by 3 million. The federal debt held by the public went up, from $14.4 trillion to $21.6 trillion. S&P500 on Trumps last day: 3799 S&P500 today: 5160 (35% higher!) No inflation? There has always been inflation, ever since the monetary system was invented.. Growing 401ks? Market profits? Higher under Biden. Low gas prices? They would still have been low if not Trumps paymaster Putin had gone on a genocidal rampage in Ukraine.. A secure oil reserve? It's still secure. What are you even talking about? Lower taxes? Yeah, for the billionaires.. A strong dollar? It's still historically strong.
  20. Grasping at straws are we? It was expected to come in at 3.4, it came in at 3.5..
  21. My comment about legal immigration was a rethorical question.. We can agree, that something needs to be done about the border situation, and you would hope Congress could be above partisan politics and personal ambition and come together to find a solution, but there is a slim chance for that, as they are more toxic and divided than ever.. My point is however, Trump already had 4 years to fix the problem, he didnt fix it, thus he has already proven he is not the man for the job.
  22. Pay attention. I didn't say he did nothing at all. I said "During his four years he accomplished absolutely nothing in terms of reducing illegal immigration into the US." Which is true, since illegal imigration actually increased during his term. He did manage to decrease legal immigration though, and can probably thank the travel restrictions during covid for much of that.. If reducing legal immigration into a nation of immigrants is a goal in itself is another question.. About your border wall, he promised that Mexico would pay for it. What happened to that?
  23. Under Trump, illegal immigration increased. During his four years he accomplished absolutely nothing in terms of reducing illegal immigration into the US. That's a proven track record of incompetence.. What's happening now, again, is that the maga-republicans in Congress are blocking any attempts to get anything done about the border, probably to give Trump talking points for his campaign.. Biden did not **** up the border as you say, he inherited the problem from those before him.
  24. Hopefully the pro-democracy freedom-fighters will triumph this time around. The Myanmar-junta is truly one of the nastiest regimes of the modern age, deserving only of the garbage heap of history..
