  1. I am travelling soon from North America and was wondering what documents I should have printed (hard copies). I will have hard copy of Insurance, Thai Pass, hotel booking certificate. I am entering on a non-immigrant O-A Visa so I wonder if I need hard copies I submitted for the Visa application like Police certificate etc.... ? I applied/received the O-A visa under the old method where I had to mail in original documents to embassy and they stamped passport and kept originals of all documents. Any feedback by anyone would be appreciated. Thx
  2. you can review the attached documents regarding forced hospitalization if test positive or come in contact with positive person. Although many insurance companies will issue you insurance and gladly take payment there ids not one shred of evidence on any other the forums that they will pay for a claim if you test positive and are asymptotic... but many evidences of people paying out of pocket many hundreds of thousand of Bhat for forced hospitalization even though you are not sick. It is a gamble.. Russian roulette.... if you feel lucky and have money for forced hospitalization and forced IV's and forced medication then you will have no problem with your planned trip....The "Happy Quarantine" option under the Thai Pass application allows "any" unvaccinated person from around the world to come to Thailand and fly on the same flight as you.... they will not be Test&Go but will be 10 day quarantine but no matter to you as you will be on the same flight as them for 8 hours plus in Thai airport with them and maybe in same taxi from airport....
  3. You received some very bad information from the hotel you booked. I also arrive early on the 3rd December (0:05) from Tokyo and my hotel booking is Dec 2nd with check out the 3rd. You need to book the 2nd because they set aside the room for you as of 3 PM on Dec 2nd.... if yo need to extend your stay one more night to stay the 3rd just book it as a non test & go on hotels.ca for $40 CDN per night but your test and go booking needs to be the 2nd.... I have had several hotels to tell me this including Novotel's and Aloft Suk 11....the hotel you booked should easily change this for you and issue you a new certificate. Make sure you have proper insurance. No companies in Canada that I checked with will ever pay a claim for hospitalization due to Covid positive test upon arrival if you have no symptoms and the "highly recommended Thai AXA insurance has a 12 month stability clause where a normal western insurance company has 90 days or 30 days.... if you test positive upon arrival or sit beside (or in front of or being) someone from Tokyo to Bangkok that tests positive for Covid you will be forced to hospital and the cost will be on you.....big risk because many are flying to Bangkok that are unvaccinated and coming in on the 10 DAY AQ option (especially from Tokyo).
  4. I would like to know just one person that has bought AXA insurance for Covid-19 and actually had a payout for forced hospitalization for testing positive for Covid-19 upon arrival and was asymptomatic..... just one! Also, has anybody actually read the Policy details for AXA insurance Page 4 (Pre-existing conditions). They have a 12 month stability period where most Western insurance companies are 90 day stability of even 30 day stability. Read below... if you have visited a doctor and been prescribed medication within the last 12 months then you have a "pre-existing condition" and your claim will be denied even if you have been issued insurance.... doesn't seem like all the promoters of this insurance are not concerned about this 12 month stability period... Must just be me and my INTJ personality.....And not one western issued insurance provider will cover a claim for a forced hospitalization due to Covid if you are not sick or have symptoms.. they know this is an insurance scam.....let alone a claim if you are forced to a hospital because you sat beside someone on a flight to Thailand that tested positive for Covid-19....
  5. I think my Thai Pass not being approved is a blessing in disguise when I read the below newsletter below . I don't need a 350,000 THB bill for a "forced" hospital visit and have medication force fed to me if I test positive for Covid and have no symptoms are not sick especially if it caused by a Thai National (no offence intended) who is travelling on the plane that is not required to be vaccinated and does not need a "pre-covid" test before the flight..... If am within a certain undefined distance from this person on the plane and they test positive then I will be forced to quarantine (hospital or hospitel). I believe that a Thai national can travel to Bangkok under AQ Thai Pass without vaccination and without a pre-flight Covid Test... this is a bit disturbing to me as my risk of getting Covid on the flight is greatly increased..... Nov 9, 2021 The Nightmare of Testing Positive on Arrival in Thailand Richard Barrow's Letters from Thailand @richardbarrow Today’s special newsletter is about the nightmare that falls upon you if you test positive on arrival in Thailand. This is what happened to Kirovs, a tourist who came to Thailand with his family. He is now in hospital and his family are in hotel quarantine.
  6. thanks for your 2 cents worth bkk6060... I am not sure I got my money's worth though ????????.
  7. I am in the same boat. I am cancelling as we speak as I was supposed to fly from Canada on 11th early morning and have had NO response on Test and Go (many applications starting from Nov 2nd with a couple email addresses and covering all the recommendations on this forum for cropping vaccine QR codes etc). I have emailed the support and Thai pass sites and called the number (66 2 572 8842... this is a joke, as nobody answers and I have tried the press 1 and 1 trick.. tried multiple times!). I would have had to take my pre-flight PCR test today at noon at a cost of $150 which would have been another waste of money. Have to cancel my flight by today to get no penalty refund. The hotel (Novotel Bangkok) said they won't refund me on my pre-paid Test and Go One day stay for $5000 THB... rip off!!!!! Now I have to try to cancel Insurance also which I pre-paid $800 for a 10 month stay!!!!!!I have outlaid so much money for this 10 month stay as I paid for received an O-A visa and had to play for Police check and other things!! I have outlawed thousands of dollars preparing for this long stay trip and now get NO RESPONSE to multiple Test and Go Thai Pass applications and no response from Thai Embassy or Thai Consulate in Canada.... Biggest gong show and rip off ever... the only bigger rip off would be getting approved and travelling then testing positive and being forced to a hospital and forced x-rays and medications/IV's that insurance will not cover because I am not actually sick....... no other country in the world would force you into a hospital when you hare not actually sick and have no symptoms (and are double vaccinated)!! Never had so much stress in my life for what is supposed to be a long term vacation!!!!
  8. I saw all the comments on applying AQ option and did it and got immediate approval... but not comfortable with travelling with a fudged document... just my opinion.... I want the Test and Go approval code but not getting it.......
  9. Are there any Canadians who are currently in Canada that have received an approved Test and Go QR code? seems that maybe are vaccination codes are an issue. I have had multiple submissions with edits to the application per the forum comments but no approvals....
  10. really.....how so?? 1 person paid 150,000 Bhat for "hospitel" plus as seen below Richard Barrows blogger comments confirm that all International arrivals who test positive are forced directly into a "hospital" plus Novotel Hotel in Bangkok told me if I test positive I would be transferred immediately to their partner hospital whose Nurse conducts the Covid Test.....plus I have to take all my luggage and haul it to the hospital because apparently is it "contaminated"..... Seems no travellers are too worried about the possibility of this forced incarceration....
  11. I applied on November 2nd early morning and have received no approval only confirmation of receipt email. I have booked for the 11th and have a 24 hour cancellation clause so can cancel on the 10th morning. I also have 10 MM$ worth of coverage from North American insurance company plus Covid coverage. I have to do a PCR test Tuesday for the travel Thursday and won't outlay another 150 CDN$ for a test without Test and Go Approval. I have sent in 4 applications with 2 different gmail address'. Plus I have an approved O-A one year visa that they don't even ask for in the application and have paid for the full year insurance.... Gong Show.. so stressful....I have booked Novotel Bangkok and now they are saying no refund if I don't get Thai Pass approved.... Oh by the way, even if Thai pass approved and I travel it is Russian roulette because if test positive for Covid and forced into a hospital without any fever or symptoms the Insurance company WILL NOT cover and I am on the hook for hospital bill and "treatment" as hotel has told me. NO Insurance company will ever pay for a hospital stay and treatment if you are not sick. I have contacted 10 insurance companies in North America and they will all issue an insurance policy to you but making a claim for a forced visit to a hospital is another thing. Will they force treatment on you like IV and other tests of you are not sick?? Same thing if you pass the first PCR test but fail the second one 6 days later for the Test & Go and then forced to go to hospital. Does everyone travelling know this is a major financial and health risk if you are forced into a hospital when you are not actually sick....
