  1. Ok So I have Just received Non-B/Work Permit

I want to Go on holiday twice in the next few months

    1st trip : Penang: 4-9th of April

2nd Trip: UK 23rd-30th of May (I know this is in term time but booked before I started job and the school accepted it as "business leave")

Do I just apply for a multiple re-entry permit?

Do you think I will have problems when I return from my UK Trip........has anyone gone out of the country trip during "term time" and faced problems upon return?

    Thanks

  2. Yes I have - I caught it when I was 30 years old living in Phuket town, I am now 33. Horrible disease.

Felt some pain my lower back for about 1 week and then I woke up one morning and I couldn't move atoll my body was so stiff. Then I went to sit on the couch downstairs and every part of body was just THROBBING. Nasty few weeks.

I had persistent joint pain for around 1-2 months, and after much rarer but still had in some places sporadically for a few more months.

I took ibuprofen and paracetamol, not sure what else you can do to be honest. I'm lucky the joint pain went away although arthritis might come back when I'm older.

They closed down as B&J as its just not that popular outside the US when compared to other premium brands

They always seemed pretty busy whenever I visited Siam paragorn, like a continous que..........

then again they were situated right at the entrance of Siam paragorn, and probably paying the highest rent............

They should have at least kept a smaller store open in Phuket or Ekkamai

  4. 7-Eleven have really stepped it up the last few years : more products, cheaper prices, better food, fresh coffee available in most stores

Family mart is more expensive on most products by 2-5 baht, don't have any good deals really, half the food selection and much worse quality products

7-Eleven are surely going to take Family Marts market share

The OP teaches science and believes the moon landings were faked, and he thinks it's okay to teach students that the Earth is flat.

I think I can see the correlation here between teachers' salaries and the quality of some teachers.

Unfortunately most schools here prioritise costs over quality of education.

Its true I think The Moon landings were faked in my opinion and millions of people around the world do also

Would I ever teach that the Moon landings were fake to my students, No.............because its just my opinion and I have no factual evidence to back up my claim.

Read my posts again, I NEVEr said I believed the Earth was flat,

What I said was- No one here can be 100% sure the Earth is round ........unless you've actually been up into outer orbit seen it with your very own eyes.

I or You can be 99% sure its round - with using scientific methodology that is round but never 100% sure.

And as a science teacher I would obviously never teach my students the Earth is flat.

But its always good to question reality.

    1) Do Governments Lie so suit their own agendas? Yes all the time.....About the Iraq War, etc

    2) Is Science Always The Right Or Correct Answer, No. Just look at the evidence coming out casting a negative light on the vaccines. Search Dr John Campbell on youtube who was an adamant supporter of vaccines no he seems extremely worried

    3) Do I believe it was possible for NASA to land a huge rover on the Moon in 1969, beam back LIVE footage of the first steps on moon, have a launch vehicle able to rendezvous with the lunar module orbiting at 18,000mph...........

In the year 1969, when there's more computing power in your iphone than all the spacecraft of that era...........No........Simple impossible in my view.   Have you even seen the Artemis footage.......they can't even get a continuous live feed...........just low resolution 240p with a few seconds of blurred footage here and there

This is the same anywhere in the world, the money supply is basically double of what it was, wages the same. But if your argument is to have such little raise, it is kind of pointless. It has more to do with yourself actually.

I met so many teachers, some are lazy and expect it to be given. Others are clever and have some kids to teach after school for 500-1000 baht 1-2 hours ( X 2 kids). Or by also having a few hours remote teaching work. Endless options right.

If they wanted to have proper education here, they could have done that 10 years ago already. It is not by accident but by design.

true but UK minimum wage has increased from £5 an hour to £10 an hour for over 25's over the last 5-10 years

  8. That's usual with M5 and M6, most of them just don't care anymore because they will be leaving soon, they know they can't fail etc

But I've never heard of Admin/Management firing a teacher because of lazy students not doing there work? Especially in a government school. I could maybe understand it in a private school where Admin has pressure from parent payinh

That's the students fault of completing work, not really the teachers

Maybe record some of your lessons, keep evidence, show management you are trying your best in class to make them complete work

Why not hand out suitable punishments - No work completed.........they stay behind with you at lunchtime?
