    Termites

The Piano is and will be somewhat elevated off the ground sitting on concrete footings, so im hoping thats a help its been it its Current " waiting position " for 2 months now and not a sign of the little frickers at all fortunately im on a decent sized block with ample opportunity to give them food away from the house and piano there was a "big " mound down near a huge bamboo tree that was disposed of, perfect spot for termites i guess with all that leaf matter etc

    Roof Gutters

I dont have access to town water so i'm reliant solely on well water, quantity unknown. and in the event of it running dry or being unusable, id rather have 20000 litres in tanks , free water, unlike the prices ive had for carting it in. the tanks would pay for themselves in no time.

    Roof Gutters

Thanks for all the replies, i knew it had not been prepared properly as i watched some of the antics on show it seems its either got to be re-done, that is if they can strip off what remains , clean it, prime it and repaint or ditch the colour and have plain, id rather have colour. or the boring colour option of PVC, brown or white ?? and yes i realise there will be maintenance required, i just sort of hoped that the job initially might have been of a better standard but i should have known..... as for the reason, i have a large area of grass, and use well water. i dont know how long it will last, and im one for reusing where possible and to see tens of thousands of litres wasted, is a shame i have plenty of water tanks , for storage 20,000 in total

    Roof Gutters

Recently installed Zinc roof gutters about 4 months ago they were "painted " well someone attempted to spray some paint in their general direction they were NOT cleaned, and the oily film was just painted over Well its all coming off, in big and little chunks and the hangers are mostly devoid of paint The builder will correct the problem. is there guttering that is prepainted properly, or even better, colourbond guttering available in Thailand. Thanks.

    Termites

Well the current infestation is in full swing down here in Prachuap. 5 nights , 5 mornings of sweeping vacuuming cleaning etc etc the house and new building are piped with god only knows what chemicals, but my question is regarding timber outside i have an upright piano thats being used , or will be used as a water feature what treatment is suggested to treat / spray the piano to lessen or hopefully eliminate the risk of it being consumed Thanks..
  22. Thanks, ive "asked " at numerous places including plant nurseries that i now know quite well and come up with a blank, or a suggestion of somewhere close that ive already been tried looking for the thakop / ta kobe tree with no joy.
  23. Thanks for all the tips it seems that now we have a grub infestation thats eating the roots and causing a lot of very semi dead looking areas, ill have to fix that first before fertilising and / or black soil any recommendations for a high nitrogen fertiliser, bearing in mind there is 700 odd SQ Metres to do
  24. I think thats called "sandwash " ??
