Im hopeful some well informed " brainiac " can answer this Dr Google cant , and even if he could there would be 4 thousand conflicting answers . so, i have an airconditioner which has 5 fan speeds if i have it set to fan speed 3 and i want to lower the fan speed to 2 i have to cycle thru fan speed 4 then fan speed 5 then fan speed 1 and finally get to fan speed 2 Why cannot the makers of air cons allow you to lower the setting rather than go thru the full blast settings to get to a lower speed If you can adjust the speed up, why cannot you adjust the speed down .
