More Wise problems
NoDisplayName replied to CallumWK's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I use a credit union as a firebreak between Wise and my brokerage, which adds some time for my transfers. As needed, I send funds from my brokerage cash account to Wise. An ACH is processed at start of the business day, and money sent within about an hour. My credit union emails receipt and funds availability usually within 2-3 hours. It's now about 11pm Thai time. You don't need this step. Log onto my credit union around 11am (11pm Thai time) and transfer from checking or savings to Wise via free ACH. My credit union will batch process these transactions after midnight EST, or noon Thai time the following day, and the funds will go out when the bank opens, around 8am USA time. Your bank may be faster with this step. Wise will send an email around 9am (9pm Thai time) that funds have been received. I can log onto Wise, send cash purposed for "monthly expenses" that usually arrives in my Bangkok Bank account within seconds (except on weekends and bank holidays). If I select "long term stay", additional processing is required. Some coding is required, possibly needing to match particular batches of funds within Thailand (?), and Wise will indicate funds "will be released" next morning at 10am. This is usually the case, and funds will be available in Bangkok Bank between 2-5 PM. -
Update to correct my error. Hunter Biden did NOT join Burisma in 2015. London, 12 May, 2014 Burisma Holdings, Ukraine’s largest private gas producer, has expanded its Board of Directors by bringing on Mr. R Hunter Biden as a new director. https://docs.house.gov/meetings/JU/JU00/20191211/110331/HMKP-116-JU00-20191211-SD984.pdf Trump Bad™

Assume you're having Wise pull (extra fee, extra processing, extra time) from your bank account. Why not log onto your bank and send a free ACH payment into your Wise account, then a few hours later, log onto Wise and send to your Thai account which could arrive within seconds? -
US Tax Filing Status MFS/MFJ
NoDisplayName replied to NoDisplayName's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Other option is wife investing in US as a nonresident alien, filing Form 1040-NR. Withholding at source of 30%. Income effectively connected taxed at 10-12% (lower brackets), no standard deduction available for non-residents. Income not effectively connected (dividends and interest in this category) are taxed at 30% unless lower by treaty. Thai-US treaty sets the rate at 15%, China-US treaty sets the rate at 10%. If <183 days in US, capital gains are NOT taxed by the US, but may be taxed by Thailand. (I assume only if remitted.) So for a Thai wife, in order to reduce taxes, invest in ETF's that pay low/no dividends, focused on capital appreciation rather than income. -

Trump's Trade Policies Threaten Thai Economy

South Africa wasn't completely isolated. They were given nukular weapons designs and tritium gas from the other fascist apartheid regime to assist them with developing nukular weapons for their nukular test in '79. Of course, South Africa's leader wasn't indicted for war crimes......... -
Will the pardon cover "shower time"?

The difference is the claims of golden showers from prostitutes in Hunter's case were real, and documented on his very own laptop.

So a qualified and talented senior oil$gas executive!

Why Do Thai Girls Love Getting Tattoos?
NoDisplayName replied to SoCal1990's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
P4P sluts? It's advertising, same reason "tramp stamps" are fashionable for porn "actresses." They're all basically interchangeable, their names are meaningless. But when Bubba goes back to his regular life, he can tell his friends to look up this really great flock in Pattaya. She works at this bar with a whatsit on the sign outside. Her name? Dunno, but she has this huge tattoo of a matador covering one entire upper thigh and a charging bull on the other! "Olé, Olé, Olé" -
Coincidentally......the pardon covers crimes that he “has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024, including but not limited to all offenses charged or prosecuted.” Started "working" with Burisma in 2015, Ukrainian prosecutor fired in 2016. Shirley, a coincidence. "10% for the big guy" goes a long way these days. Trump Bad™

In other news on the "dindunuffin" law front, Joe Biden has pardoned his spawn not only for the 2018 gun/drug felonies he was convicted on, but anything he “has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024, including but not limited to all offenses charged or prosecuted.” Shirley, it's merely a coincidence that Hunter began working for Burisma in 2015 and "that bastard" was fired in 2016. Shirley! Well, now we know what "10% for the big guy" buys! oh......ummm...........Trump bad!™

Zelensky willing to cede territory for NATO protection.
NoDisplayName replied to Cryingdick's topic in Political Soapbox
This will not happen. One of the main reasons for the war was NATO expansion into Ukraine. And now the idea is to 'negotiate' an agreement whereby Ukraine will get NATO troops in country, and a 'temporary' ceding of territory? We've been through this with Minsk and Minsk-2 and Istanbul. Treaties and agreements are simply a means of moving more arms into Ukraine to continue the ethnic cleansing. Once NATO gets Ukraine all charged up again, the war will continue. It's far more likely that the Russians will liberate Odessa, followed by a referendum and secession, at which time Ukraine will collapse. There's an old saying in Tennessee - I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee - that says, fool me once, shame on - shame on you. — George W. Bush -
Grok, the AI chatbot built into X, is now available for free to some users as part of an experiment by the social media platform. Previously, access required an $8 per month X premium subscription. Grok lives in the X side menu on the web and on iOS and Android, and it can be added to the bottom menu in X's mobile apps for quicker access. Unlike ChatGPT, there's no stand-alone Grok app ... chatgpt says Yes, Grok is part of the X platform, which was formerly known as Twitter. Grok is an AI system developed by X (formerly Twitter), and it's integrated into the platform to provide enhanced capabilities, such as personalized content recommendations, moderation features, and conversational interactions.
-
Let's consider this logically. If Grok is a feature of X, and X is all disinformation and lies, then Grok's "admission" would, of course, be a lie, indicating that X is indeed the fount of true knowledge. Fascinating.

Autocratic demagogue?!! Stick with the narrative! He's a despotic dictatorial fascist, m'kay?

Okay, you've convinced me! Putin has lost 17 gorillion troops, their evil empire is about to collapse, the pheasants are revolting, and Steiner is storming the gates of Stalingrad as we speak. So, umm....Ukraine is winning, i guess. Sure, if that makes you sleep better.

Don't particularly care, you went to the link and you copied/pasted the data. Although..........what was their incidence on world total nukular reactor export? Still don't particularly care. Doesn't matter either. No amount of posting Russiaphobic comments will change the fact that Russia is doing just fine economically and militarily. Just another case of Harris compensation, the posting of multiple threads claiming Harris is winning and Trump is going to jail. Same as the folks that have been ranting for decades that China is imploding, and posting links to Falun Gong propaganda videos as "proof."

Interesting that you chose 2021, and only 2021.
