Cheap plastic crap factories are moving out of China, as it's no longer economical to manufacture paying employees 7000 RMB vs 1500 RMB. Sneakers and elephant pants and plastic doggie doo will be manufactured by slave wage employees in Vietnam and Bangladesh. China will try to move up the value chain, manufacturing computers and routers and aircraft. Tariffs add another layer of complexity, such that it might become economical to assemble I-phones in India, instead of China, from the same components sourced from South Korea and Taiwan Province. -

To be fair, that's capitalism. Long, long ago, I went to a government job fair. The NSA was handing out refrigerator top secret decoder magnets......"Made in China" -

Factory work in the land of China earns around 5000 RMB/month, or about $700. Higher in tech assembly joints like FoxConn where they can earn 7000 RMB, or about $1000. If we put them out of work, they go back to their villages, live in mud/thatch huts without running water or electricity, and earn around 250 RMB/month ($35) as a subsistence farmer, working 12 hour days 30 days/month. -

Trump imposes tariffs on bibles printed in China. Result is no more bibles printed in China. Chinese workers potentially lose jobs, with add-on effects to Chinese economy. Manufacturing of bibles moves to Vietnam. Vietnam workers in Chinese owned sweatshops get slave wages. Chinese owners of factories in Vietnam still get the profits. American consumers pay higher prices for the "Made in Vietnam" label. Winning! -
Personally, I tend to drive on the left. The Russian vehicle appears to be pulling out of the soi to join the traffic driving on the left of the main road. The motorscooter appears to have been illegally salmon riding on the wrong side, likely speeding past slower traffic instead of following basic traffic laws. Looks like the motorscooter almost squeezed past the Russian driver, getting smacked in the heiney and falling over. I can't count the number of times I've been about to pull out of our Tesco lot, when some numbnuts on a motorscooter comes flying by from the left side and nearly gets taken out. My location is on a divided highway, with a market entrance about 150m to the left, and a junction with traffic signal 100m to the right. Motorscooterists coming from the market wanting to go right at that intersection often don't want to wait at the light, instead crossing at the market entrance, then salmon riding 250m to turn right, continue down the next highway, riding salmon, to cross to the correct side when that concrete median ends.

Thailand's Expats Urged to Register with TRD for Tax, Says Expert
NoDisplayName replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I was misreading your earlier post. When you spoke of your office manager, I thought you were working here. Reread, and it seems that's the office manager of your local TRD of whom you spake? So you have no Thailand income. I'm not a tax advisor or expert, but in the case of remitting current income, I would file a return regardless. I believe under the law, although not currently enforced, if you bring in >60K of assessable income, you must file a return even if no tax due. I'd file to cover your posterior just in case. -

You do not need a separate TIN. You file using your pink ID number. If you file online, you must visit the TRD office and have them activate it for use with the online filing system. -

So the candidate of the party that loses the election with less'n 50% of the vote, is now only wanted by 'bout 40% of their own voters? That translates to a measly 20% of the electorate! There ya go, ironclad proof that Trump lies. Didn't he say "there'll be so much winning, that we'll get tired of all the winning"? Well, I'm not tired yet.

That is so true! Imagine winning an election with both the electoral vote AND the popular vote! Totalitarianism, that's what it is. Evil, dystopian, fascisticism! Getting more votes is obviously the work of Satan.

Unfortunately, Putin wasn't on the ballot, so we had to choose the closest approximation to Hitler we could imagine. -

I'm sure their sources are impeckerable! ~According to seven sources who spoke to the Post, all of whom were familiar with the discussion ~Capitol Hill sources who spoke to the Post say ~Several sources indicated to the Post ~One tax adviser told the Post ~one Republican policy adviser told the Post Well, those are credible sources, intimately involved is discussions regarding persons familiar with allegations of rumors surrounding reporting being unburdened by what has been. You should read the articles in the links you post. Most are barely disguised propaganda hit pieces. -
