  1. As far as I understand, there is no Moderna vaccine in Thailand until October.
  2. That sounds ominous! ☹️ I hope they are not going to try and palm Sinovac off on us. ???? Not after Britain and America donated AstraZeneca and Pfizer.
  3. Bald Farang @BaldFarang · 21h Replying to @SangratTanee Thanks for the update in English. Can you confirm that ALL expatvac registrations nation wide will receive Pfizer for both doses or is that limited to Bangkok and dark red provinces? Tanee Sangrat @SangratTanee · 20h I cannot confirm the type of vaccines to be administered to which area. It’s up to MOPH. But I know that Pfizer will be distributed widely and we also have other vaccines such as AstraZeneca and others.
  4. ZeZae @zezaeportugar ·20h Replying to @zezaeportugar and @SangratTanee * Make an appointment for vaccinations. (Sorry for the typo) Tanee Sangrat @SangratTanee · 20h SMS or email I understand that responding agencies in each area may be different. Please look at both channels.
  5. I have been using https://sausagekingone.com/ for pre-packed meals and bacon etc. Their lamb curry is great! Also, https://shoponline.villamarket.com/home/ mainly for non-perishable items.

  11. "They will be facing a very long jail sentence in Thailand should they be found guilty in court, notes ASEAN NOW. " No doubt, if he does get a long sentence, the British Embassy will be working overtime to get him transferred back to the UK. ☹️☹️
  12. I doubt if anything will happen. apart from you receiving two appointments. Cancel the one you don't want.

  14. No they are not! thailandintervac is run by the MOPH. If you live in the provinces or are under 60, then go for expatvac. If you live in Greater Bangkok or a couple of other places and are over 60, then go for thailandintervac or expatvac.
  15. Starting after the 10/11th August. However, those who live in Greater Bangkok may receive appointments earlier for Bang Sue Station.
  16. Twitter 10 hours ago mabovalu @mabovalu · 10h Replying to @SangratTanee Confusing. Who gets redirected to Bang Sue? And does everyone who gets redirected get AZ? Or Pfizer? And where else is Expatvac administering Pfizer in Bangkok? And are any hospitals giving Pfizer? Tanee Sangrat @SangratTanee · 9h MOPH’s will direct those registered to the nearest places of vac incld the provinces. Bang Sue’s one of vac centers for BKK and near by provinces. Vac type’s subject to availability. We still have AstraZeneca at Bang Sue now. I expect MOPH to start using Pfizer after Aug 10.

I Some foreign residents will be called by Bang Sue later this week. The Pfizer vaccines will NOT be available before August 10 or 11. MOPH is undergoing testing and regular preparation process.
  18. ALERT!! ALERT!! Major exaggeration in progress here! ????????????
  19. Apparently, the MFA are handling the registrations and the MOPH are handling the actual vaccinations. This would suggest registrations need to be completed before an appointment if offered. I think it more likely, the MFA will request the missing information prior to the appointment. Whether or not this delays registrations that are "pending", I don't know.
  20. What are the local equivalents of Tramadol please? I have a frozen shoulder and I need a pain killer better than paracetamol which I have been taking.
  21. I am upcountry and the only falang in the village so I need to learn the Thai language. Can anyone recommend a good online Thai language course?
