No, Biden was. -
What does this have to do with the post title (Chiang Mai)?

Anybody got one recently? How much did you pay? Any recommandation other than the most expensive places (Bangkok Hospital, Ram Hospital etc)? I asked 3 hospitals and they all give you a total anesthesia (a short one btw) for the price of 15-18,000 baht. Do you know any place you can get only a local anesthesia? There's no need of a total one in my opinion and it costs more as well. Cheers

Application for NON-O retirement (Chiang Mai)
pub2022 replied to pub2022's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
UPDATE I've done my visa change from exempt entry to NON O retirement (it's actually a visa application, model TM87) with money in the bank option, in Chiang Mai. The experience was quite smooth, no crazy long wait or requests. There is a new model to fill in for "fact checking information" STM 11. Easy one. Because of all the Immigration holidays in April I happened not to have enough days left for my application (even though I applied almost one month in advance), so I had to pay 1900 baht for a visa exempt 30 day exstension I could have avoided if going there 2 days earlier. So mind on that! I paid the 2000 baht fee for the visa application and I was given a receipt saying that application is under consideration, and I have to come back on 24-4-25 to get the 90 day stamp. I applied on 28-3-25. My actual permission to stay expires on 22-5-25. Question: do you maybe know what date my 90 day stamp will start from? Cheers -
Dear all, I'm going to apply for a visa change from exempt entry to NON O retirement at Chiang Mai Immigration Office, with money in the bank. They're asking for Bank Saving Certificate - seven day validity - see attachment: What is this? What does it mean? Letter from the bank stating that...? Thanks.

Israeli Tourism to Pai Plummets Amid False Rumours
pub2022 replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
If I check hotel's prices, it seems to be more expensive than what it used to be for march and april, so there's still enough tourists looking for rooms to stay. -

Yes, you are right: 1. Too many tourists. 2. And most of the time they are irrespectful. 3. Thais are on average less poor (more rich) than before. 4. Covid has worsen general attitude. 5. Globalization etc -
Rising Anti-Israel Sentiments in Pai Following Tourists Misconduct
pub2022 replied to webfact's topic in Chiang Mai News
Have you recently been in Pai? Have you seen what's going on there? They lost control of the village. A huge number of tourists are lining the pockets of hotel and restaurant owners, who are mostly Thais originally from the south, Bangkok or Chiang Mai, who have very little interest in things going back to normal. -
If you did not get corrupted money from USAID then you are far right fascist. If you are a honest person, you are far right. If you belong to the middle class and do not have the money to keep your heater on during winters, then you are far right. If you pretend your government to first help you and, only after, foreigners, then you are far right. The pattern is clear now.
