They need to start cancelling any extensions with no proof of funds.

The cheaters keeping no money in the banks here don't have this abiding by the law nonsense of course, via bribery through an agent.

Don't last forever, ours got rust holes in after 9 years, had them welded up but got more. New tank, then never worked properly, pulsing all the time, now the pressure dropped, does not come on for downstairs. Getting a new one on Monday. Pointing out he could be involved in bribery is factual not scaremongering. Using agents is not all above board, legal and honest and as a recent agent disappeared with money and passports sometimes disastrous. Using one just to do the paper work is totally different from being tempted into bribery just to save 800k in the bank. The fact that bribery and corruption is endemic is no excuse for being as bad oneself.

None are totally honest, they are involved in paying bribes to immigration officers. Not all are on the take though just some offices leading to you getting an extension from another province, another dodgy situation to consider.

If he has the means he can fill a simple form without having to depend on a leeching agent involved in corruption, if he does not he should indeed stay at home. He asked for advice, thats mine. If he needs his hand held just to get an extension he will not be able to cope with all the other problems here he will come up against, you can't get an agent for everyday life and at 81 he will find it tough going here.

what is wrong is stating an extension via an agent from a province you do not live in via bribery is illegal?. Preaching has nothing to do with it, it's the law. Extensions via bribery should not be encouraged on here.
