    Don't last forever, ours got rust holes in after 9 years, had them welded up but got more. New tank, then never worked properly, pulsing all the time, now the pressure dropped, does not come on for downstairs. Getting a new one on Monday. Tried all the usual remedies, bleeding the air out, tinkering with the pressure switch. 11 years is not bad but I expect some last longer. That one is not powerful enough if you have upstairs

    Pointing out he could be involved in bribery is factual not scaremongering. Using agents is not all above board, legal and honest and as a recent agent disappeared with money and passports sometimes disastrous. Using one just to do the paper work is totally different from being tempted into bribery just to save 800k in the bank. The fact that bribery and corruption is endemic is no excuse for being as bad oneself.

    But it's not legal, despite what the system cheaters want you believe, and many don't have the 800.000 earning money abroad either. Thats often just wishful thinking

    Some people immoral people will always favour corruption when it benefits them, just don't start crying and blaming others when it does not work, or somebody runs off with your money or passport!

    None are totally honest, they are involved in paying bribes to immigration officers. Not all are on the take though just some offices leading to you getting an extension from another province, another dodgy situation to consider.

    Ah, no argument so a personal attack, if you have nothing to say on the subject why resort to name calling? Do use use an agent?

    If he has the means he can fill a simple form without having to depend on a leeching agent involved in corruption, if he does not he should indeed stay at home. He asked for advice, thats mine. If he needs his hand held just to get an extension he will not be able to cope with all the other problems here he will come up against, you can't get an agent for everyday life and at 81 he will find it tough going here.

    what is wrong is stating an extension via an agent from a province you do not live in via bribery is illegal?. Preaching has nothing to do with it, it's the law. Extensions via bribery should not be encouraged on here.

    Extensions issued from another province via bribery is common, but clearly illegal and you get stuck with an agent

    If that true at 81 he should stay away, there are far more hassles here than a simple visa extension.

    The pixelating out of fake guns, knifes and even wounds and smoking is laughable.

    You don't have to pay an agent or take out insurance to open a bank account, if they turn you down you only have to slap 800k on the counter and they will fall over themselves to open one for you!

    Been in a Starbucks only once here and never at home. That was once too often, Amazon and Black Canyon are better and cheaper. Arigato coffee is the best value, 30 baht in Tops.

    But at least he needs to be in the country, if he can be bothered with all the hassle! If you cannot be bothered with getting a letter from the bank and filling a form in what can you be bothered with?

    Interesting, Sheryl is right when she says get the right Dr not the Hospital, always look for one trained, or who has worked in the west.

    My wife teaches Thai and had an ex USA student who worked for an airline. They waited until he landed on USA soil then arrested him for underage sex in Thailand, he got 22 years, deservedly so, added charge was filming and distributing.

    At 16 she is a minor and it's classic pedo behaviour to get together with a mum to access the daughter. He needs a prison sentence, then a lifetime ban.

    Went to the local forest temple yesterday, mrs wants to be a nun for a few days. Now you have to submit ID and numerous form filling. Due to people (Thais) coming for a while and stealing money and valuables from the temple, times must be hard.

    Then he does not qualify to be here on a retirement extension and should stay at home, no doubt no medical insurance either. At 81 he would just become a burden on other people for medical costs, or another go fund me. Needs to start acting responsibly, it's not too late!

    No Agent is 'utterly reliable' better to do it yourself than trust people you do not know with your passport.
